I did notice some delay between hitting the post button and actually posting sometimes, but I didn't realise it was linked to the length of the thread. I thought it was my internet or maybe the server.

It's more noticeable on mobile than desktop.

Yeah, some really don't. But I've also had that happening with some of FCGs pictures.

If you're signed in, then it could be geo restrictions with the images. Sometimes happens to me then if I change my vpn, they show up 😊

Geo restricted pictures are kinda dumb. It's bad enough that Youtube does that with some videos. Welp, guess it's ultimately me who has to provide, huh? :(

I've never really looked into the VPN stuff.

The main purpose of VPNs is to give you access to a different network. This whole privacy stuff is just a side effect. But it sure is sold as a feature by those companies. Even though, being companies, you can never tell what they'll end up doing with the data you give them.
