I hate how quickly socks just get holes these days. Back in my days they used to last forever! <_<

With my job the average pair of socks is worn down in like a month. 😓

My average pair of socks usually ends up no longer being a pair of socks, as I seem to have a micro-black hole right in my washing machine that absorbs only one sock 🤔

I don't see the problem, tbh. I never had that issue where socks randomly dissappear. :P

Oh I am so picky when it comes to socks. If they've got any holes in them, they've gotta go. The socks I put on have to be matching or otherwise I'll end up with socks that don't have a partner, and an uneven number of socks, and they'll look funny when I put them on. I got a set of really great thermal socks a couple Christmases back and they've been wonderful, but one of them ended up with a big hole in them and I've been sad about its fate ever since...
If I don't have enough clean socks to wear or they somehow get misplaced, I go raid my boyfriend's sock drawer and find a matching pair of his to wear, because he's a normal person who isn't super detail-oriented and picky about the specific kinds of socks he wears that are covered by his pants and shoes and never get seen by other people anyways.

I proceed with bit of sophistication when choosing the socks. I prefer solid colors for them, excluding those colors which are bright like pink.

Then I keep socks reserved to specific shoes.


Plus I don't mind little bit torned or loosened elastic socks, as more or less they serve their purpose, plus they are not visible to anyone(except socks which are reserved for badminton).

I got socks in a variety of colors and patterns, usually just buying whatever happens to be my size =P
I wear them down until a hole appears that's big enough and in a spot that's annoying when inside a shoe... until that happens I just keep wearing them ^^

All my socks are white, so I just have them in the sock drawer all mixed together, and pull out two of them when I need a pair. It doesn't matter if they look different- they're both the same colour, work as socks, and why would people be looking at your socks anyway...?

Omg I'm the exact opposite of that. I don't care in the slightest if my socks have holes on them, as long as they're not very visible, there's no problem. Also that part of raiding your boyfriend's sock drawer when you don't have any is so real, although I do that to my sibling as I am not dating anybody.

I have a lot of socks, many of them years old. I sometimes throw some out, especially when the holes get bigger. Most of them are dark ones and I don't mind too much if they are not of a pair. You won't really see which ones I'm wearing, anyway. :P

I am tempted to do more research just to see if it's possible to repair the broken ones. xD

At some point, I wore t-shirts that had holes around the armpits. Which wasn't a problem when I had a hoodie to hide it. But, in the gym, I don't wear a hoodie, and you often raise your arms in the gym. So everyone could see the holes in my t-shirts XD

The most awful and funny incident which I remember is of class 8th.

I was playing some sports during the sports time, and due to stretching of legs, my trouser got ripped from bottom, and it got extended to huge length. And it happened before lunchtime !!

Then I went to the medical room of our school, and the ma'am there stitched out my trouser to a decent level, and during that entire time, I was sitting on my undergarments 🤣🤣.

That ma'am was quite old aged, hence she said to me that I should not feel shy as she is like my mother.
