Last One to Post Wins! v4

Thankee, all!
Happy anniversary to you!!! How does it feel knowing you've been in here for a whole year?
It feels major! I'm looking forward to many more years on here!!!

Happy anniversary!
Do you remember why you joined the forum?
Aye, my old forum that I'd been on for years had grown rather inactive- occasionally people would post on it (and they still do, but nowhere near as frequent as they used to), but mostly it was just tumbleweeds. My only other places for talking with others were the general chat in Star Wars: The Old Republic and their forums- that chat can often be obnoxious (people discussing politics and other unpleasant subjects) and the forums don't quite have that community my old forum did. I gave my old forum a wee bit more time to see if it would pick up again (it didn't) and then I went looking for another forum to join. A Pokémon one was an obvious choice, and I found this one. The rest is history.

This forum is the only social media I use nowadays =3

I guess Steam chat could count to a degree too, but I'm not as active on Steam as I used to be.

I use Discord in the least social-media-ish way: I have joined only 3 servers, all of them are private: one for my friends we used to go voc for LoL, one for moderation, and one for my beta-testers.

Years ago back during my first year in high school I was on Facebook, but that was just to play games. I didn't stay on there long, and didn't message anyone much when I was on there.

Hobbes used to have an account on there, and he had at least 200+ friends- most of them other Cats and Dogs- until Facebook shut down the account all because he's a Cat.

I still use social media, despite all the bad people say about it I still have a positive outlook on it (though I acknowledge there is a lot of problems) but I'm also a happy member of this forum because it's something different? Like I wouldn't talk on here the way I talk on social media, the messages are a lot longer and the discussion is a lot slower. Ironically, you don't get a lot of interaction on social media unless you're already popular, say something controversial, or some mix of the two. It's great that I can start a thread because I want to discuss something knowing that people will respond to it and want to continue the discussion, or that I can go looking in something like Off-Topic to talk about on occasion and it'll be a fun time where people will just appreciate having others in the discussion and not look for something about them to attack.

I think I'm just too private/reserved for any other social media aside from forums =P
That's pretty much me, too. I'll talk to people occasionally in public, but I could never be considered a social Butterfly (besides the fact that I'm already a Weasel, not a Butterfly).

Same.
I prefer to spend my time alone, working on my projects, rather than talking to people ^^"

The next Galactic Season in Star Wars: The Old Republic may be starting Tuesday, which is good and not good for me. Good because I'm excited to see what the next one is. Not good because I would prefer to have more uninterrupted time to work on my story. If the next season starts, I'll be having to balance completing the weekly Seasons objectives with time for writing the story. Add to that they might start the next Spring Event at the same time, too (although they haven't mentioned it yet, so fingers crossed they wait awhile longer to start that). Ach...

If you binge-watch the series, you'll be done quickly :)
If you watch one episode per week, you'll have to work on your story :)

Actually it's on an online computer game. They'll do these Galactic Seasons events ever so often, where you complete weekly objectives to earn rewards on the reward track. Usually they have some sort of story attached to them, although the previous Season did not- the rewards were nice, but no story going along with them like previous seasons.

Currently at the bottom of page 12 of my story!!!

Speaking of binge-watching, that is something I cannot really do right now because the Netflix account that my family uses is from another family member of ours, but, for a few reasons, they can't pay for the subscription anymore so I can't watch my shows.

Now the only place I can binge watch anything is from series on YouTube (Dream Catchers ftw)

I got several Anime I started watching and then just kinda never continued due to other things I'm doing lol
Still wanna finish them, probably binging them, but might take a while to get around to it.

Usually when I watch something I'll try to watch it in three episode batches, just because it's nice to have a smaller time window so it's easier to convince myself "Yeah, I have time to continue watching this" often. But it really just depends how much I get sucked in, like if I really start enjoying something I'd just end up binging the whole thing in one sitting, but if I don't I tend to fall off and just stop watching entirely after a point because I start to think "I'd rather be doing something else". So it can vary. There are actually a couple things from Love Live I should be catching up on, and I'm trying to convince myself to do that today or tomorrow.
When I read manga I have to be in the right mood for it, but I'll pretty much always binge that and read the entire thing in one or two nights. Then if it's ongoing I'll just wait until the next time I'm in the mood for it and catch up on any chapters I missed. A couple manga I read recently were both over 100 chapters and I went through them each in a couple sittings.

I can sort of relate to this, the new major patch for FFXIV is supposed to come out by the end of this month, and I've just been generally busy this month with planning a bunch of life stuff, playing Persona 5, the monthly gaming challenge here, and whatever else is going on. When I get really into something I like to just kinda solely focus on that for a while, and there are several big tasks I wish I could do that for all at the same time. Hope you enjoy the season!

The last anime I watched was probably Yu-Gi-Oh!, when they were at a university and they had counterfeit Egyptian gods ^^"
