5th Gen Let's Rewrite History: Remove a Unova Pokemon From Existence!

I'll pass. It would annoy me if a Pokemon got removed, even if it was my least favourite. You'd never really be able to "catch them all" since not all of them would really be available. (They may disappear from canon but people will still know about them) Not to mention I know I'd be sad if somebody removed Cofugrigus or Reuniclus so I'd rather not remove someones favourite Pokemon.

Case in point Palpitoad is probably my least favourite Pokemon but I wouldn't remove it if I had the chance.

The fun thing is that it'd never exist. Like, out of sight out of mind. That's the sort of removing I'm all for. We're pretty much remoulding the Unova Dex to suit US. ACTUALLY on that note let's just rename rather than remove Cofagrigus. He needs a makeover. :)

But yeah you can't miss what you never knew!

And nah @gimmiepie Druddigon is too Digimon for Pokémon. I'd trade Druddigon for Gatomon.
 
I really don't like any of the Elemental Monkeys, but Simisage is probably the one I'd remove given the choice. I've never used any of them and their designs just don't appeal to me at all.
 
Well that one official Japanese poll happened to choose a Unova Pokemon as the community's least favourite (and that's out of all Pokemon, not just Unova). So if I had to remove one (which I wouldn't want to), I'd drop my selfish desires and be the voice of the community. Crowds would cheer my name as I fought for them instead of myself. I would be selfless, I would give the community what it desires, and I would become a legend.

For I removed Simisear.

Yeah... it's sad that a Unova Pokemon was chosen but at least it was a Unova Pokemon no Unova trainer would gladly choose. Good choice. We do cheer your name!

But Alomomola is SO much better than the uninspired Ludisc. Removing Alomomola would mean you'd have to remove Amoonguss. Amoonguss and Alomomola were like MADE for each other competitively! ...at least in B2W2 NU. :')

That's exactly why, the evolution will make the 'uninspired' ones into something much better

It's like food. You can have a terrible slice of bread and you can put the best butter in the world on It... But it will still be bad bread. This way the amazing butter (Alolomola) doesn't need to be associated with the bread nobody likes. It can go on to do better things! (like pancakes)

Removing or reworking Alomomola still won't fix Luvdisc being boring :(
 
Honestly, it is very hard for me to remove a Pokemon, especially from Unova as I have grown very fond of all of them, even that Unown reject, Sigilyph. ( Its been a long road but I have finally seen the light with this mon)

If I was to choose a Unova Pokemon to remove though, I would choose Tynamo. I feel like it doesn't make much sense design-wise that Tynamo evolves into Eelektrik (took me a few years to realize that it did) and it quite honestly doesn't do too much compared to its evolutions. It would just be better if it had no evolution or just didn't exist at all and let Eelektrik have its own line with Eelektross and leave it at that.

That being said, I do find Tynamo to be adorable but I had to pick one

Tynamo is a legit Pokemon to remove. Its shiny sprite is practically non existent. Anyone could've encountered a shiny Tynamo during their Unova journey and you wouldn't know unless you saw and heard the sparkles! That's just not right. :( Although Eelektrik seems somewhat pointless - Eelektross could EASILY survive without any other pre-evolutions. It's just that cool. And creepy. But cool.
 
First of all may I say Unova is my favourite Region and I like nearly all the Pokemon on it.

One Pokémon I would happily remove is Heatmor. It's a Fire type with a nothing design that doesn't evolve and does not even appear until late game where unless you are looking for a Dragon your team is already set.

Worse it's the one Pokémon whose name I can never ever remember.
 
Alomomola or Basculin come really close but I think my choice is Foongus and Amoongus. I also didn't like the direction they took by turning Tepig and Lillipup into Emboar and Stoutland, but I wouldn't go so far as to get rid of them.

Did you get swept by a mixed Druddigon and that's why you hate it? :P

I'd remove Emolga, as it's useless.
 
I would probably remove the Trubbish line. I really do not like the concept of battling other people with literal trash or catching literal trash or anything of the sort. The whole concept is just gross to me. :/
