Let's talk about school

Loving this.

Man though school was great except for one thing. The lunches :I

I see you Chase, turning the topic to food. :p My high school actually had pretty decent food, in my opinion. Then college came and food cost about 10 bucks and I preferred dying of starvation, so yeah.

Haha you know me and my food ;) But yes I totally feel ya. I noticed that when I got in college that it was best just to eat when I got home. College it too expensive in it's own right without taking into account the amount one would spend on food.

I used to really like our school lunches because our school had pretty good food, depending on what line and what day it was. But after my freshman year I just started bringing in a can of fruit and a can of veggies and would eat that for lunch.

My school had off-campus lunches, plus I only attended half of the day. The other half was at a vocational school in the next town. Because of this, my lunch period was an hour long.

Who had Chinese food for lunch? This ♥♥♥♥♥. XD

Ugh, you just reminded me my financial aid STILL hasn't been processed. And I have to pay that crap next Wednesday. Halp.

Also, I had Chipotle every other day for a month. Never again.

Ah ♥♥♥♥ Dipu I'd get that straightened out ASAP. Mine was late processing last fall and I almost was unable to take classes at no fault of my own :I Seems like my school's financial aid department though had idiots working that had no clue what they were doing so hopefully your's is all good.

I have the same issue. The people who work in the bursar and financial aid office probably sleep all day >_>

I owe my friggen school like $280 from withdrawing from a course. They can suck it.

The school cafeteria at my high school is okay. There are several places to get food off campus that are really close, though, but we're in a touristy area of the city so some of the prices at a few places are a little higher which sucks.

Ugh, y'all are in college which reminds me that this fall I'm going to have to start applying @_@

Wait you can go off-campus in high school to get lunch??? Our school would have never allowed that. Damn Catholic schools.

What schools do you plan on applying to?

When I was in high school we weren't allowed to leave during lunch but we did it anyways and they never really stopped, however I hear this year they're putting teachers at every set of doors even the doors to the roof to make sure that nobody leaves during any time of the day which I find to be kinda crap since there's places that you can literally walk to and be back in 5 or 10 minutes.

Yeah my school doesn't really give a ♥♥♥♥ about anything which includes dress code and where you go during breaks as long as you don't come to school naked or with something offensive or go to the park nearby because there's a lot of stoners there haha. Granted, "off campus" is really just around the block, you don't have to cross a street to get to some places.

I'm mostly looking at schools that have strong Biology programs, or have some sort of vet program like Davis in California but it's so expensive ugh. I looked a couple California colleges but I'm not entirely sure if I still want to stay here because among other things I really want seasons instead of same weather year round. A lot of my family lives in the New York area so they're all like "Whitney come to college here!!!!" To be honest I haven't really done a lot of research recently because I've been away and busy sorry if you wanted a list of names haha.

Urgh the college application process was so stressful. I applied to almost all of my schools through a low-income application program and thus had 6 applications due in like one day...I went to the guidance counselor to get some help with one of them and just had a nervous meltdown and she sent me home for the day. And I can't imagine what it's like for people that don't have things like that that narrow it down a bit for them; there are so many schools

I know I know, at least I have something like "I want to go to school with a vet program/track and strong Biology and that has Japanese and/or Spanish" but some of my friends have nothing. How are they supposed to pick??? Is someone else just going to give them a list and they decide from there??? I mean, if you have nothing to go off of you can't just search "colleges" on the internet; it's a black hole. I also can't imagine doing everything in one day, how did you ever manage to complete them all? Wild.

Your friends aren't alone though tbh. A lot of people including myself have no idea what they want to do when they go to college because making the decision of what you want to do your whole life is pretty hard D: The advice I would give them is to just take a few basic courses; maybe start at a junior college until they decide what they actually want to study for. It's what I did and I don't regret it at all.

High school is the worst tbh. Food isn't good and kinda overpriced plus the people are suckers for money.

High school for me right now is a ♥♥♥♥♥. My English teacher was a bastard about grades and so even though I excel at all things reading-related I passed by so much. Can't say the same about Geometry, however. Lunch was good most days; the few times we had really good chicken or something I had to watch my tray like a hawk. Starving kids ">.< And there's that whole my-GPA-matters-now bull, so I gotta get my brain in order this year.

Wah, one week left. ;-;
