HI! This Is My Map:
PLEASE I BEG YOU; DO NOT STEAL; COUSE I WILL MAKE A ROMBASE ONE DAY...
Name:Route 801
Hack: Plasma Force-scrapbox
Credits: Kyledove, Me
Spoiler:

Hey guys, I decided to harshen my ratings, it's just how I am.

Form:
Tile Usage/Placement: {2.5/4}(Fair)[Nice job, the tile usage is pretty nice for the most part; The tree placement is grand, It gives the map a great feel, you placed the trees just right to make it look great; The small tree placement is also great, they're nice and scattered, not bunched up or anything; The mushroom placement is good too, I love the diversity in the colors, it really adds to the map's looks, and you didn't put too many in, however, I think you should add one to the bottom-right of the map; The path placement isn't that great, it dosen't really give the map a feel of direction like it should, but nice try; The fern placement is alright, but there is two next to eachother at the bottom-left, and there are few in the top-right; The ledge placement is alright, it gives the map a feel of having a downward slope, but something about them dosen't look perfect; The wild grass placement in okay, but it looks too scattered, it should be in more "clumpy" areas, along with being scattered to give it a nice feel. ]
Map Shape: {3/4}(Good)[The general shape of the map is good, but there are a few things that keep it from being even better; The tree shape is primarily good, but there are a few spots that aren't so great, and halter the map's greatness, the top-right corner of the map is very square compared to the rest of the map, so you should work on that, the right side of the map is nice and round except for the bottom edge of the top group of trees, if you get what I mean.]
Complexity: {1.5/3}(Average)[This map isn't particularly complex, but it has an element of complexity to it, which is worth something, the map has a bit of the feel of a maze, an easy maze, but a maze nonetheless.]
Errors: {2/2}(Perfect)[I spotted no errors in this map, which isn't anything special since it's a small map.]
Emptiness: {2/3}(Good)[This map takes advantage of most of the space in the map, however there are a few spots that could use some filler tiles of some sort.]

Total: {11/15}(Good){B}[Not bad, it's a nice map, but It's also small, which is a bit of a turn-off.]

Comments: To be completely honest, I am not quite fond of this map. There are too many benches and not enough grass. I like the mountains though. They are nicely shaped. The water is also nice.

Suggestions: Erase some of the benches and add some more grass. Make it so that they will run into a minimum of three Pokemon.

Rating: 6/10 - Fair.

The tree shading on the big tree is done wrong. Use the non-shaded tile to make the tree on the outsides.

Well I am going to be redoing the map soon anyway with Kyledove's tiles so I won't bother fixing it now. How does the overall thing look though? As in an out of 10 rating?

Name: Ochre Town
Base: None (Made in Paint)
Credits: Kyledove - Palettes, tiles
Additional Comments: The area behind the gym hides a hidden item, which is why there is an empty border around it.

Form:
Tile Usage/Placement: {2/4}(Average)[The general placement is good; The tree placement is good, however, you could have added some trees in the middle of the map, rather than just around it; The building placement is great, they all are placed along the path, which is good, there is also a good diversity of different buildings in this map; The small tree placement is mediocre, they are all in big lines, instead of being split up and scattered around more; The path isn't very appealing to me, it is pretty straight and it is very wide in spots, which I am not a fan of; The flower placement isn't very great either, there are few flowers, and all of them are clumped up together, none are spread out among the map; The fence placement is good, it adds a nice look to the map.]
Map Shape: {2/4}(Average)[The map shape is great; The tree shape is perfected; The path shape, however, isn't very great, It's too straight and thick in areas.]
Complexity: {1.5/3}(Average)[There really isn't anything particularly complex about this map, yet it's not just a simple map with nothing to diversify it.]
Errors: {2/2}(Perfect)[I spotted no errors, kudos Alistair.]
Emptiness: {1/3}(Poor)[A lot of the space is used up, yet much is left empty, and I'm not fond of that; You could create a couple space-fillers and fill up some of the empty space.]

Total: {8.5/15}(Average){C+}[Sorry if this seems a bit harsh, Alistair, but I'm a harsh rater, and I get even more harsh every map I rate; The tiles you created made the map look a lot better, but I rate maps on Form, not tiles.]

Though I do appreciate your comments and rating, TB Pro, much of it does not make sense. Much of your review for my map would pertain better to a route than a town. For one, towns should not be as complex or object-filled as possible. There needs to be room for NPC movement and placement. Putting a patch of trees in the middle that would restrict the path to only being 2x tiles wide (causing a block when two NPCs get next to eachother) is very unusable. The way I assembled this map, I made it so many NPCs would be in it. To sum it up, usability comes first. Aesthetics, second.

I do understand your feelings on the path, though. I wish I could change that, but I made it in Paint, and that would be a royal pain to fix.

And on a side note, I am not just showing the map off for my tiles. I am trying out the Nintendo-style of maping.

Edit: Fixed the paths with this one.

Map Name: Torrid City
Map Stuff: Torrid City is the first city that contains a gym in my game Zircon. The neat thing about Torrid City, is that it's on the side of the Torrid Volcano! You can see with the lava and such.

The gym is located inside the Torrid Volcano, since the leader, Mark, a cousin of Lance, is a fan of fire types.

The fenced area below is a drilling site that will not be accessible until later in the game.

Comments etc: Took me about two days to map. (With about an hour a day, so 2 hours basically). I've never used this thread, so I don't really know what to expect. I hope you like it!
Oh, and the purple building is like a mart and pokemon center combined.

I'll use some sort of form for this...
Mapping (8/10 - Very good): I love the shape of the mountains. It's really, really well done. There's hardly anything to say, really. You put the city on a volcano, which is an interesting choice, but it does limit the amount of tiles usable. That makes it a little boring... There are some tile errors in the mountains where the mountains change direction. There's a different tile for that, where you used the normal tile. I hope you understand what I mean
Creativity (5/5 - Excellent): It's in a volcano! What more can I say?
Playability (3/5 - Good): There's nothing really wrong with playing in this, apart from the fact that the colours will start to get annoying after a while.

This is a really good map, Trace. Trace...that sounds like Thrace. Oh well. Love to see more from you. And then I realise you're a Game Dev. Screw you, Game Devs! You get 0! -shot- Great to see some of you guys over here.

First of all, great use of tiles. The path is placed neatly, so as the houses. The palettes are used very good. I only suggest you add more small trees, and spread the flowers.
Rating: 8.8/10

Map Name: Route 2
Notes: It looks a bit empty, but think about it when I add in game people, the dot in the corner of the grass in the top right signifies an item. And the house in the middle of no where is the place where you get a HM, I just put it there instead of wasting space and creating a new map.

The parts in the middle are meant to be arenas. I'm putting trainers battling each other there soon. Oh and there are trainers and other sprites there, just didn't add them to the screenshot.

I'm not really good at mapping. Can't change palletes. =[ Getting better at mapping though.

Thanks for the feedback. So, i have decided to post another map of me, pls give feedback!
;)

Okay i give both map a 9

Now the snow map.. the palettes are brilliant except for the light in the pokemon center, a bit too yellow, the detail in the mountain is great too!
The map also reminds me of my neighborhood xD

Mapping (9.5/10 - Excellent): I love the shape of the mountains. The map is small, but really well done. It's very nice. Some of the mountain curvy parts look funny, and out of palette, though.
Creativity (4.5/5 - Excellent): It's small, humble and very good.
Playability (3/5 - Good): It's playable, I guess, but you can see the edge go into the border at the top and right side.

Total: 17/20 - Very good.

Great map overall. It's small, and humble, but brilliantly mapped.
And look! We're getting more Sydney-based hackers! I might even know you!

Another map.
Map Name: Dont worry :)
Notes: The black spots are where tiles haven't been inserted.
