6th Gen Mauville City

Mauville City had a major shake up in the remakes, it received a drastic design overhaul along with new areas and facilities. How did you feel about the changes? Did you manage to explore all the new areas? Which layout do you prefer overall?

I personally prefer the original design. As much as I enjoyed exploring all the new facilities the new layout had to offer, I found it somewhat confusing to navigate around compared to the simplicity of the original Mauville City.

I adored the remake's version of Mauville City more than the original. Omega Ruby's version of Mauville City made it one of my favorite cities in the entire series. I don;t know why, to be honest. Probably because of the creativity of the new design. I like it when towns and cities have creative designs.

I loved the new version more as I got used to it, because there's more diversity to the facilities and a residential complex built in was also something nice to add to the table here. The lack of Game Corner may be sad to some players but there were legal reasons as to why it was removed, but it's still nice to explore.

I thought the redesign was great. All the new facilities and cafes make it really feel like a little slice of Lumiose City. It's pretty convenient having all the features of the newer Pokemon games (the Reflection Mirror, the Relic Song and Secret Sword tutor, etc.) all conveniently in one place. I do miss the old Mauville sometimes, but that's only because of the Game Corner.

I understand why Mauville needs a redesign. While the original one wasn't any better, I ain't feeling for the redesign either. :(

I actually like the remakes. It got larger, and I like the gym too! ^^^^^^

At first I was confused when visiting Mauville City since it's totally different, but I'm starting to getting used to it as time goes, and I'm glad that Mauville City is expanded that it have more room for other facilities (like Inverse battles, a TV studio and apartment).

At first, OR/AS Mauville was pretty hard to navigate (for me, at least). The camerawork isn't annoying like it is in Lumiose City, so that's a plus, but it still took a while to figure out how things were formatted. Although now that I know that it's literally just a box I feel kind of stupid for thinking it was complicated at first, lmao.

But yeah, now I'm pretty fond of the new design, and I prefer it. I dunno if I've managed to explore everything, but I have done everything possible in the city (if I'm not mistaken), even getting the Genesect drives from that one guy.
