Metal Mouth!

My dentist told me I needed them but my mum said No because she thought I could not handle anything on my teeth.
 
I had braces for almost two years and I had them taken off a few weeks ago. I have to wear this awful retainer now which is really annoying. I really didn't want to get my braces off to be honest, I had gotten used to them and now my mouth feels really strange without them
 
I've had braces for about a year, but nothing really interesting happened.

My retainer snapped in half though.
 
i used to have braces; but i got them taken off about a year ago. i actually had them for quite a while... id say... about seven years? i had to wear a retainer after i took them off, but i didnt really wear it at all, lol. i was just really glad to not have them on anymore because they were so nasty and stuff got in them all the time and they hurt a lot. i hated those things.
 
I need to get my teeth straightened, as one of my front teeth decided to not grow right. It's set back, so it looks strange =/ I don't let it bother me much, but I do detest the fact that I can't get braces, since, according to the dentist, it wouldn't work. He'd have to pull my canines out, and my mother was against that. I might do it, though, when I can decide for myself. I wish I knew what I'd look like though :I
 
I'm currently wearing braces. I recently switched from the metal braces to the rubber bands last December. :) There's a love-hate relationship between my braces and I. The food gets stuck sometimes which gets really annoying because it makes your teeth look dirty. Otherwise, they fixed my teeth which used to be crooked and ugly and choosing the colors for the bands is fun!
 
I never did. I was initially meant to be put on headgear so fix my underbite but that never ended up happening. Right now braces aren't happening at all largely because I don't have the money for them right now, and I highly doubt I will for the next ten or so years.
 
I had braces in middle school, and absolutely HATED those expander things. They left marks on the inside of my mouth to this very day. Though, one time in gym class a bracket fell off and I didn't have to participate, which was great because I hated that coach ;3
