Ill definetly miss my school period for sure

I went to Elementary school, then Intermediate school, then middle school, and then high school. They were all public schools and I wasn't required to wear a uniform. I didn't get the grades I wanted - I wanted to leave with at least a 3.5 - but because of a pretty terrible thing that happened sophomore year, and the consequences it left on me, I had to struggle junior year to get back on my feet and make up what I lost sophomore year.

I spent most of my time in the art department. Near the band room, the theater, the art room, and the design room. Most of my friends were artsies, but I was one of those people who didn't really try to fit into any one group. I had school friends from all the cliques while I was there.

My high school experience was pretty normal. I didn't experience any hardships from my classmates - save a few teasing in embarrassing situations that I brushed off my shoulder. I've left school since 2010. I do miss it sometimes, but all of the things that I miss I can get from my college experience to a greater degree. Though I do miss that sense of security in being in the same building for six hours a day, I get that at work.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school? (Or middle school whatever you silly Americans have )
Just graduated two months ago. Not even. =D

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)
Public. One of the best in the nation as well, allegedly.

Were you required to wear a uniform?
No, but there was a dress code that many people didn't like, and from that "****ty Wednesday" was born.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?
Hm. Junior year, I did. I did really well that year. First term senior year was pretty good as well. Then I got my worst GPA ever during my second term. 8D It was still pretty good though

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc)
I was overly popular. Had a group of friends, managed to make a name for myself thanks to my... well, my name, actually. Haha. I was sporty, but I think the reason I got along so well with everyone was, well, I was just chill. Drama-free, something high school is full of.

What was your overall experience of high school?
High school was the best thing that ever happened to me. I won't hesitate for a second to say that.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?
I don't know if I miss school so much. I miss the people. I loved my friends, and it hurts to see some of my closest ones leave. =/

I definitely can't go over every great moment, but I'll share one. And it's probably one of the worst days of my high school life, but I can look back and laugh at it now. =P I played soccer quite a bit, and during my sophomore year, I was sorta... hyper. One day, I took my friends basketball, wanting to see how high I could kick it. Thing was, it was right next to the Hudson River. Take a wild guess as to what happened. If you guessed the ball landed in the river, you'd be 100% right! That's not even the best part though. I wasn't exactly thinking straight, and I really wanted to get the ball back... so I jumped the guard rail, legitimately about to jump into the river to get the ball back. My friend started pleading with/hollering at me to get the **** back on the street. Cause there was gonna be no way I'd be able to get back on land, even if I did get the ball. I wasn't listening though, but I didn't jump in, and my friend kept yelling. I was probably there for a good five minutes, trying to work up my idiot self to get the courage stupidity to jump into the river. I bet it looked ridiculous from a bystander's point of view. Anyway, after 5 minutes, I caved, went back on the street, went back to school and had my head bowed for the rest of the day.

Ahhh, my friend was right. Our lives definitely should have been a TV show. =D

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?

Yup, graduated in 2009.

What type of school did you go to?

Private/Catholic since K.

Were you required to wear a uniform?

Yep, ever since first grade. Until I graduated high school.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?

I passed, didn't I? :P

How did you fit into the high school?

Middling popularity I'd say. I was really involved in the school and was friends with everyone.

What was your overall experience of high school?

I miss it. Living with my parents, everything paid for... no worries save for my activities and schoolwork.

Feel free to share any memories of high school, i.e your friends, teachers or cute person you had a mega crush on!

My school was awesome. And I'm still best friends with a guy I met at the beginning of my freshman year. He's like my brother. Wow, we've known each other almost a decade now...

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?
I did, but I've graduated.

What type of school did you go to?
Public.

Were you required to wear a uniform?
Nope!

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?
I didn't. They weren't horrible, I think I had a 2.8 when I was done. Wish I put more effort in now.

How did you fit into the high school?
I had a few friends, who were arguably the most popular in the school. My cousin was pretty outgoing as well. So I guess I was popular, but by association only. I went to parties and sat at the "popular table." It wasn't all that fun, really.

What was your overall experience of high school?
The word "blah" pretty much sums it up. I didn't have a magical moment at prom, football games were lame and no one at my school was really all that fun to be around.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?
Not a bit. I love college so much more and being an adult with my own rules is awesomeeee :p

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?
I did, and then I graduated in 2010.

What type of school did you go to?
Private, mostly catering to disabled kids.

Were you required to wear a uniform?
Yeah, Aussie schools almost always need uniforms.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?
They were alright, but I don't follow the same grades you may know. I usually had trouble taking part in a few activities though.

How did you fit into the high school?
I had trouble making friends, and I eventually did. Sadly I forgot all about them because they live too far away from me.

What was your overall experience of high school?
I was a complete loner, who often had trouble being in a group.

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?
I am loving the freedom of not having to get up so early anymore, but work is treating me even worse than school did as far as my "can't get on in a group" issues go.

I graduated high school in 2010.

I went to a trade school (learning stuff like plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, automotive etc). I did automotive repair.

When we were in shop, we had to wear work clothes, so I suppose that's the closest we had to uniforms. We did get nice button-up shirts with our names stitched on, and could buy jackets and sweatshirts.

I did alright with grades; As and Bs. If you did your work, you were going to be fine where I went.

All of my close friends followed over from middle school, so I largely stuck with them and didn't bridge out more than that. I did meet some awesome people that joined our group over the years though.

I miss it, honestly. I had academic classes every other week; I loved working in shop. However, my life hasn't really changed since I graduated. I went to school, then work at 3. Now, I just go to work instead of school. XD I do enjoy the freedoms of being out of school, no doubt; but my job is 5 minutes away and I spend a lot of time in my trade shop during the school year, visiting my old instructors and talking about car stuff.

@O07_eleven
You sure you don't live in Illinois? Cuz that's a carbon copy of the school I just transferred out of.

What type of school did you go to? an special school( one for special needs)

Were you required to wear a uniform?
In britain all school have do

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate? only a couple of them

How did you fit into the high school? I only had 3 friends

What was your overall experience of high school? It was a nightmare

If you've left school, do you miss it or are you loving the freedoms of adult life?
Of course I do not miss that school, I do not get much freedom with a three year old, but that another story.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school? (Or middle school whatever you silly Americans have)
I am offended. But yeah, I graduated middle school and am going to be a freshman this year.

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)
Public, thank god.

Were you required to wear a uniform?
No, and I am glad and thankful for that.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?
Yes, I got straight A's (and one B, shoot me).

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc)
I was... average? Well known? Everyone knew me but I chose not to hang with the "populars." But yes, I'm a desirable pretty boy.

What was your overall experience of high school?
It's just started. As for middle school, I enjoyed it.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school? (Or middle school whatever you silly Americans have ) I'm in Year 12.
What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc) Public school. It's secular.
Were you required to wear a uniform? Yes. Most Australian schools have them. I like them because they prevent discrimination based on clothing. It ensures that the rich blue-blood kids and the really poor kids will wear the same thing. American schools can learn from that.
Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate? My grades are mostly average. My English grade is way above average. My math grade is bad.
How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc) I am an unpopular kid. I am friends with a lot of autistic kids. The few popular kids who were nice to me were generally female. There are some ultra-popular kids at my school, and yes, they fit the stereotype. At my school, the popular boys are actually worse than the girls. The popular boys are usually jocks. My school's rugby team is loaded with preppy jerks. The lackluster swim team prevented me from wanting to join. It's very diverse, and some kids still think ethnicity is important. Me being a Muslim of Lebanese heritage ensured lots of teasing. There's one boy, a fairly well-to-do Anglo-Australian who looks like Greg Tolan from the movie Just One of the Guys, who made my life a living hell ever since I started here. He and his friends love to rag on me and my friends.
What was your overall experience of high school? Eh, it's okay. I'm almost done.

Did you go to (or still attend) high school?

Yeah. Going into junior year.

What type of school did you go to? (Public, private, Catholic, etc)

Public.

Were you required to wear a uniform?

Nope.

Did you get the grades you wanted and successfully graduate?

My grades are alright. They probably could be better, but they're not bad.

How did you fit into the high school? (did you have have friends, were you popular, a desirable pretty girl, sporty, nerd loner etc)

My group of friends is made up of the guys too cool to be nerds, but still like some nerdy things.

What was your overall experience of high school?

Meh. It's not that bad, but I'm certainly not trying to make my best memories here. I'm saving that for college.
