MISFITS

Shade smiled at that "Thank you." she said happily before her smile fell as she thought If she came that close to getting us...what if she already killed the others. "Hey Grims...something about this worries me. If she came this close to getting use what if she killed the others already"

Grims' smile faded, "Well then I guess we were lucky..." He suddenly become very conscious of his bare chest and crossed his arms, "I'm not exactly upset if Aaron hit the chopping block, but I do hope that the others made out okay..." He suddenly remembered the PokeBall that guy Chuck gave them before they left. "Hey, would you happen to have a phone on you?"

"If i had a phone I'd let you use it..being homeless has it's disadvantages" Shade said realizing this was the first time she had told anyone she lived on the streets. "To be honest of the people we left back there the only one that I would care if they died would be Seto. The two of you are the only people that i met I can stand"

Grims was caught off guard, "Oh..." he looked away, embarrassed for having made Shade confess that. "Um, it's okay, really...I was homeless too at one point. It was only by luck that I found this old building outside of Celadon to call home." He suddenly realized something: he couldn't get cold. The wind up here didn't affect him at all. But, the same couldn't be said about Shade.

"Uh, are you cold by chance?"

"Uh, are you cold by chance?" Shade heard Grims ask her. The air up on the mountain was chilly and Shade was doing all she could to keep from shivering.

"A little yeah. The air up here is pretty chilly" Shade answered rubbing her arms Man I really wish I had a coat or something she thought mentally cursing her choice in sleeveless tops.

Grims blushed a bit deeper, "Well, um, if you want...um, you could hold onto me...I'm pretty much immune to cold because of the fire stuff..." Grims smiled sheepishly. He knew Mike would probably disapprove, but really, Grims didn't care. He liked Shade. Well, he liked Mike too...ugh, this could get complicated.

"Well, um, if you want...um, you could hold onto me...I'm pretty much immune to cold because of the fire stuff..." Grims said blushing hard.

Shade blushed just as hard as he did "Thanks" she said sheepishly going to his side. The moment she touched his arm Shade let out a gasp her eyes glazed over.

Grims enjoyed having Shade in his arms. It felt nice to have someone this close to him again. He suddenly has a flashback...

He was 17, living with his baby sister Eliza in their home outside of Celadon. He had been sleeping when Eliza shook him to wakefulness with tears in her eyes.

"Big Bwadah, I had a bad dweam." She said.

Grims got up and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. "What was it, Eliza?" He lifted her up and sat her down on the bed next to him.

"I dwemt dat these bad guys took me from you, Big Bwadah," she answered. Eliza crawled over and hugged Grims, burying her face in his chest. "I don't wanna lose you!!"

Grims held her tightly and spoke softly, "Never, Eliza. You'll never lose me as long as I live and breathe."

...Grims didn't realize it, but he was holding Shade a bit more intimately then he'd planned to. He seperated himself from her, but held onto her at arm's length, "Um, I'm sorry..."

"Um, I'm sorry..." Shade heard Grims say her eyes still glazed over she had seen the memory he had her grip on his arm tightening.
What the h*ll was that! That wasn't my memory! Why did I see it when i touched his arm! she thought shaking in shock as she came to a conclusion Wa..was that my power

Kylie couldn't even bring herself to scream as the wooden door shattered. She then decided that at this point, she wasn't even frightened of things around her breaking. She then thought nothing could phase her at this point; that thought quickly revoked when the probation officer walked in. She let out a whimper and pressed the button on the pokeball she was holding.

Nothing happened.

She let out another squeak as she pressed again. And again. And again. Then it clicked. She held in her hands an empty pokeball.

The deranged... thing, for lack of better term, staggered in, raising the wooden stick above her head. Kylie looked around her, for something, anything to defend herself with. With nothing around, she got up, smashing the Pokeball into the probation workers face as hard as she possibly could before darting from the closet. Her gash in her leg tore wider as she tried to run, and she let out a howl of pain, leaning on the wall and now staggering just as the creature chasing her had been moments before.

As the Sceptile flew through the air towards his prey, Alex began to doubt his invincibility. The probation officer was insane and displayed it twofold once the metal sheet encased her. If Collin could get there quick enough before her deranged rage freed her... But of course he could. Collin was the most agile Pokemon Alex had witnessed... Her faith in him bloomed once more.

A very clean shing rang proudly through the wooded area, similar to the sound of a sword being unsheathed. Alex grimaced.

Collin's Leaf Blade had sliced cleanly through the metal and into the woman's abdomen. He landed lightly on the opposite side of the car with a sadistic grin on his reptilian snout and fresh blood on his arm-leaf. The woman's mortified, red eyes matched the blood that was swiftly running out of her deep wound. A moment later, her body, still caged in the metal, fell to its knees and rolled off the side of the car, which Alex was sure everyone had evacuated, and landed with a decisive thump. Blood quickly stained the ground.

"Is she... dead?" Alexis inquired of the other spectators, the question echoing into the sky. There was no way in hell she'd be the one to check.

Kellyn watched as Collin, Alex's Sceptile, slashed through the probation officer's body with a loud shing. He stared for several seconds before walking to be beside Alex.

"Is she... dead?" Alexis inquired.

"I would hope so," he said, leaning towards the body. He flipped the body over to see the woman's eyes dilated and blind. "Do you guys think that storm did this to her?" he asked, hoping that wouldn't happen to any of them. He quietly stood back up and looked at the other super humans.

The dude that had been wielding the pole stepped to the plate and walked to the body. "I would hope so," he commented, and flipped the woman over. Alex was glad she was far enough way that she couldn't see the face of someone in Death's company. "Do you guys think that the storm did this to her?"

Swallowing hard and with a knot in her stomach, Alex was glad someone had broken the edgy silence. Collin leaped back to her, and was summoned back to his Pokeball.

"I have no damn idea what happened yesterday, or what's going on now." Her green eyes darted to each of the others' faces nervously. "And it's freaking me out. There's three...humans dead here. We've got a real mess to take care of.." After all, there was evidence on her Sceptile's arm. Again, her hair was thrown into a ponytail out of nervous habit.

Chuck heard a howl of pain that he recognized as Kylie's and he instantly darted in the direction of the scream, knocking over a few boxes on the way. Reaching the now smashed door just as his pokémon did, he grabbed her in his arms and picked her up, much like he had did when she semi-passed out less then 15 minutes before. At least she was light. Gepedo and Drake would hold the killer officer for more then just a little while, if not killing her like he had planned, but, hey it's not like he could help by setting stuff on fire or something.

Now noticing Kylie's dripping blood which was getting onto his clothes, he sprinted up the stairs much faster then he had been going before and laid her down on the partially charred coach, and he couldn't help but think how screwed he was when his parents found out about the wrecked house. 2.5 Billion went into it, and he wasn't quite sure how he was going to make that much money, seeing how even in the family business that would take a few months.

"If you don't mind..." he said as he lifted her sundress to her upper thigh where the gash started. Whistling a high pitched note of surprise, he continued "a lot longer then I thought, we gotta get you outta here. Don't worry, I'll find a way", but honestly, there was really no way off the island with out a flying or swimming pokemon, both of which were down stairs.

"Please, please, please just don't pass out." he said moving some stray hairs out of her eye's with the back of his hand as a smile started to spread across his face.

As much as he pretended to be a ladies man, he was really falling for this chick, why else would he have picked her up from the basement with a psycho killer on the loose, he sure wouldn't have for Ashely at least.

((OOC: Sorry for being so MIA all the time. Guess Mike's just not going to get in on the action any time soon. ^^'))

He was ashamed to admit it, but when the Probation Officer leaped out from the bushes, he just froze. It was too soon - her eyes... They looked just the same as they had in his vision. Blood-red, bloodshot and bloodthirsty. There was so much rage that he could do nothing but stand there shaking, even as the others started to fight. He kept seeing it: her swinging her axe down into the neck of the Raichu - so much blood. Red, everywhere, and the Raichu was already dead, murdered by its own master.

He backed away and fumbled with his Pokeballs, but his hands were shaking too much. The woman had killed her own Pokemon. There was nothing human left of her. She was crazy on legs and seemed to want nothing more than to rip them to pieces for no bloody reason!

"If you're as gay as you are smart, then you should be able to think us out of this!" Tony shouted at him, breaking through his haze of panic. For once, he was right - well, technically since he was about as far away from gay as you could go while still liking guys, that wasn't very helpful, but he was right in that he should be doing something and not just being some kind of dead weight. On habit, he closed his eyes to calm himself.

Big mistake.

He saw those damn eyes again. From the same probation officer only... She was in a hallway, heading to a door at the end, her eyes promising a death as painful as she could make it. Somehow, he saw through the door and made out the figure of one of the girls that was doing community service with him curled up in a corner, clutching at a Pokeball.

The probation officer lifted her leg and smashed down the door with more force than anybody could have expected, and raised her weapon to smash it against - the Raichu's neck, covered in blood - the girl's head. In a desperate move, the girl bashed the officer's face in with that Pokeball. When she tried to run, however, her mouth opened in what he assumed was a cry of pain and she staggered, an injury on her leg ripping itself open wider an blood pouring down.

His vision blurred and his head flared up with a now-familiar pain which he was quickly tiring of. The world reformed around him in time for him to watch as a Sceptile released a Leaf Blade which sliced into another same-but-different Probation Officer through a sheet of metal which encased her. Woman and metal fell to the ground which was soon stained with blood and why was there so much blood?!

His eyes snapped open and he predicted the confusion and stabbing pain into his head and even falling to his knees vomiting and that's the third time that's happened. He'd just eaten the apple, dammit. His body shook and he was starting to really hate this stupid ability of his if it meant he couldn't keep one damn apple or toast in his stomach for longer than an hour.

It took him a few moments to calm down enough to look around. The Probation Officer had gone, Tony was unconscious on the ground and Grims was flirting with that girl they'd brought with them. He sighed, barely feeling the slight hurt that shot through him. Oh well, either he was a natural flirt or he decided to move on to the next available body after seeing his dismal performance during that fight that he didn't even see.

Instead, he stood on shaking legs and went to the unconscious guy that the two lovebirds were ignoring in favour of staring at each other's eyes (okay, so the hurt was a little bit more potent than he originally thought. Sue him). Did all guys fall unconscious this often without him having ever noticed it or just ones with elemental powers, he wondered. He shook him gently.

"Hey, Tony. Tony, wake up!" he tried.

"Hey, Tony. Tony, wake up!"

"Mmmbuh?" Toby opened his eyes a little. He was having this amazing dream about flying or jumping or something and then there was an earthquake in the sky... Yeah, that made sense. He blinked a few times and as the blurriness and grogginess faded, he could see Mark's face looking down at him. That... that guy. Mark. Yeaaaah, Mark. "Hey Mark, hey buddy. What's happening? What's going on?" he said softly, in a fairly high pitched tone. It was like he was drunk or something. Well, it felt like that anyways. He didn't remember drinking anything. He swirled his tongue around in his mouth. It was a little dry. And his belly felt pretty empty. He felt the ground with his hands. "Why am I on the ground?"

Mike blinked. He was fairly certain that he'd already told Tony that his name wasn't Mark, but whatver. It wasn't like Tony seemed too lucid at the moment, and Mike's awful headache meant that he wasn't in the mood to correct him.

"I dunno, I figured you'd tell me. Don't you remember anything, Tony...?" said Mike, giving him a strange look. He shook his head, figuring the disorientation was just momentary. Unlike the taste of upchuck in his mouth, which has been there all day. Besides, there were more important matters at hand, like the fact that...

"There are more than one of the Probation Officer!" Mike blurted out loudly. "Like, more of the axe-crazy maniacs! There were at least two others!"

He didn't notice the fact that his body was beginning to shake violently.

"Tobias," Toby muttered, blinking his eyes slowly. Did he remember anything? Did he remember anything...

"There are more than one of the Probation Officer! Like, more of the axe-crazy maniacs! There were at least two others!" Mike said, a little too loudly and a little too randomly. The ...probation officer. Oh! The probation officer! Oh sh*t!

"The probation officer! There are more of them? Where's the other one? Did I kill her? I think I did. Why are you just standing there, Mark?! Where are the others? Why aren't you killing them!" Toby looked around for any signs of screaming, long haired, crazy brunettes. There... were none. The only thing that was making a noise was the mild chatter between Grims and Shade. Ugh, those guys. They were practically doing eachother with their eyes. Alice and Erro were at Toby's side, next to Mark while Clay was chilling over by the campsite they were at earlier.

"Where is the probation officer?" Toby blinked again. At least his memory wasn't as fuzzy anymore.

"No, I mean..." Mike took a deep breath and tried to clear up the slight misunderstanding, "One of them was back near the community centre, and another one was in some house after one of the other girls that were with us in the storm. I saw them with my, you know, sight," he finished awkwardly. It kinda felt like he got the short straw on this deal - Grims got cool fire powers and could burn anyone that tried to kill him. Tony got wind powers that could blast anyone away. That girl probably had like crazy-ass poison abilities or something. And him? He was stuck with being able to see things (like he couldn't already) and then feel hung over.

He sighed. Well, he'd make do with what he had. He'd have to see how far he could take the whole 'seeing things' thing. Pretty darn far, he figured, if he could see stuff way back in Saffron. Where the Probation Officer came from, which was mindblowing. The Officer got here on foot by will alone. That was some pretty freaky crap.

"So there could be more of them out there. The guys back at the community centre killed one, I think, but I don't know about the other one," he said. He saw Tony glance at the couple and he followed his gaze sighing. He really thought that he might've gotten another chance at a relationship since...

He lay down on the ground with a huff. Next thing you know, Grims'll proposition her for the same 'test' that he put him through. Mike rolled his eyes at himself. It wasn't like they'd even started a friggin' relationship. At least now he knew that Grims chased after every pretty thing he met. He'd just thought...

Then he laughed out loud. He was pining over a guy he only started talking to a few hours ago who might've been attracted to him. It was like some bad romantic comedy. He sat up again. Right. Well, he'll just do what he always does - take it in and move on. If Grims was happier with that girl, then who was he to be in the way?

"Hey, Tony, do you have many friends?" Mike asked him randomly.

"Right, your sight," Toby relaxed a little. It sounded like they all had it under control. Besides, everyone had super cool powers, it couldn't be hard to kill a psychopathic killer, right? Yeah, right. Toby looked over at Mark has he thumped back onto the ground. He made a few faces then let out a burst of laughter. Toby raised his eyebrow. Okay, did this kid have bipolar or something? Schitzophrenia? Herpies?!

"Dude, are you okay?" Toby blinked. Mark made another face.

"Hey, Tony, do you have many friends?" Mark asked him randomly. Toby raised an eyebrow but inside his head, he was freaking out a little. Okay, a lot. Okay, okay, calm down. Just lie, okay, just lie. It's not like this Mark kid knew who you actually were.

"Yeah, y-yeah, I have tonnes of friends! So many! I carry around a l-list with their faces on them, because I have so m-many! I can't even remember their n-names! Hahahahaha! So funny, right?!" Toby slumped back down on his back, scratching his brow. Yeah, like he had a lot of friends. He was homeless, living in a PokéCentre because most of his "friends" had either politely declined his request to stay, made up some kind of excuse or just openly called him a douchbag for asking and hung up. He had the best friends in the world.
