MISFITS

Kellyn grabbed the door handle and threw it off his hinges as Aaron shot her with a gun. What the hell, he thought, Shouldn't that have been locked, let alone stronger. "Everyone get out," he yelled. He looked at the officer, her teeth bared and eyes bloodshot. He started yelling at her, "What the hell are you doing," he yelled, trying to gain time for everyone to get out. "I don't think you'll get paid for killing us!"

He ran to a nearby pole and yanked and tried to yank it out of the ground. It came out smoothly without any problems and no troubles. I think I know what my power is, he thought. Wish I had my sword. "If you wanna fight you better come get it!"

She saw him grab the gun and jumped as he shot, one of the shots hitting her shoe and puncturing her foot. She screamed loudly but was not down. She rolled over the car and saw the door on the other side, broken off the hinges. One of the boys had grabbed a pole. She quickly grabbed the pole she had used against the officers and jumped onto the roof, screaming as her foot slammed against the cold metal. She thrust the pole down, towards the back seats, puncturing the roof, aiming for whoever was left in the back.

Kellyn ran forth, his extra strength in his legs giving him a faster speed. He put the pole he had right in front of her almost a second too late. "Can't you do better you crazy bit**! he yelled. He swung the pole at her, aiming for her stomach.

"Only if I get to be the shoe." Kylie giggled, showing that he had finally broken the awkwardness that had surrounded them after his little slip up.

"Women..." He said jokingly, shaking his head as he spoke. "Why do you guys always want to be the shoe?" he asked with a smile as he tossed her the piece "It isn't even all that stylish!"

Picking up his custom made game piece, a golden pokéball, Chuck handed out the money and declared that he would be banker, and she would be real estate. "I'm good with money" was his response to her playful protest, gesturing to the house they were in as an example.

_____

The two played monopoly for about an hour until Chuck finally lost on purpose, just to see her smile. The sun had gone down during their game, and so had the temperature. To keep "his lady" warm in the night, he brought down a comforter and put it down on her before going to the door to open it for Gepedo who he saw flying in from upstairs.

"Need any PJ's?" he asked her, yawning after a long day, putting his arm around her as a romantic comedy started on the flat screen.

Aaron swore again, seeing his shots doing nothing. Thankfully she wasn't focused on him. This gave a chance for Aaron to look around, and he noticed an opportunity.

Taking out his pokeball, he sent out his Beheeyem, and pointed at the rather large and thick piece of sheet metal that someone had discarded off the road. If the crazy woman couldn't be killed so easily, at least she could be slowed down.

He ordered his pokemon to use psychic on the sheet metal, and rap it around her like someone were rolling a sardine tin. He wanted to restrict her movements so he or the other dude fighting with a pole could remove her head from her body.

Aaron watched as his pokemon quickly complied, rolling the metal around her as tighty as possible.

And chaos reigned once again. Something crashed through the windsheild, blood exploded everywhere, and Alex's seatbelt anchored her to the seat as the car jolted to a stop. Before she could tell what was going on, there was more blood, someone next to her leaped out the windsheild and one of the guys in a window seat ripped the door off. Gunshots rang outside, and a blood-covered pole ripped through the roof of the car.
...
Well at least the awkward car ride was over, right?

Screaming as the menacing pole jostled around in the back seat, which barely brushed her hand but still sliced through the skin, Alex frantically crawled over whoever was still in the car and rolled to the ground through the open-doored side. Escaping to a distance some dozen feet away, she turned and examined the scene. The probation officer was on the roof of the police car, insanity scribbled in her face, while one of the dudes fenced poles with her.

Alex's hand was shaking so violently that Collin, whose Pokeball was in her hand, was probably under the impression that an earthquake was raging. A red beam flashed and their stood Collin the Sceptile, already in fighting position. Before Alex could give him an order, though, she looked at her other hand, the one that had been grazed by the pole- or, to be more accurate, lack of a hand. There was nothing protruding out of her jacket sleeve!

"F@?%!"

Her bloodcurtling profanity cleaved through the air, and the 18 year old dropped to her knees, cradling her...stump in her stomach, tears welling in her eyes. Strangely, there was no blood, though this never crossed her mind- her thoughts were so bent on the fact that her hand was severed off her body. It was still throbbing. The pain in her hand...her hand! She could feel it there, attached to her wrist where it should be! She rolled up her sleeve and there was her wrist, ending in a what seemed like a perfect cut. But it wasn't cut- the guts weren't visible; skin covered the termination. And then the hand was there again, blood dripping from where the pole made contact.

Lips quivering and with thoughts questioning her sanity, Alex redirected her focus back to the probation officer's onsalught.

"Collin," she started in a wavering voice, "Coll, please." Swallowing her panic, Alex forced back her composure. "Take her down. Leaf Blade." The reptile leaped forward, the leaves on its arms enlargened and glowing and aiming its attack at the probation officer on the roof of the car, as she was encased by a metal sheet.

Kylie looked down at her sundress and sighed. She figured she might as well take full advantage of the situation here.

"Yes. PJs would be nice," she answered.

She was pleased to find that Chuck was quite the gentleman, even though she kicked his butt at monopoly. There had been nothing weird, or even moderately awkward after that one moment earlier, which she completely disregarded. A cheesy rom-com began to play on the TV, and Chuck put his arm over her shoulders. She reached up and began to mindlessly play with his (much larger) fingers.

Kylie lurched forward, suddenly feeling sick when she touched his hand, but she didn't let go. It was like the feeling she had been getting before, but worse. So, so much worse.

Just when she had almost forgotten all the lunacy that had happened earlier.

((OOC: Rushed post is rushed. :P))

Mike watched in concern as Grims fell unconscious. Again. If he does that when he was sex, I'm so ditching him, he thought jokingly. Now that he was away from the centre and the axe-crazy Probation Officer, he relaxed just a little. Something very strange was definitely going on.

Grims' Pokemon carried them all the way to Cerulean mountains for one reason or another. He just sat back and admired the scenery, hungry now that he wasn't fighting nausea. It took a while, but Grims finally woke' to his relief. The now conscious person climbed a tree and let loose a few apples, one of which Mike immediately fetched and bit into. It was good - crisp and juicy. In the meantime, Grims was explaining why he decided to run off into the mountains. Even during this explanation, the stray little thought of 'but Agrippa could be my - shut up!' kept sneaking into his head. He pushed it down.

"Yeah, he is weird," Toby said in response to Grims. "But... we all are. We're freaks! Do you think it was the thunderstorm?"

"What's the point in speculating if it's not going to change anything?" wondered Mike. "I mean, if it was the thunderstorm, it's not like we can do anything about it now."

He went over to Grims and put a hand to his forehead. Yep, still hot. And not in the nice abs way. "Your temperature's way up. The human body really shouldn't be able to handle this. I hope you don't get sick..."

Grims blushed at Mike's touch, "I think it's because of my powers...I think that lightning packed every cell in my body with the maximum amount of energy. It's a wonder I haven't spontaneously exploded...so to speak." He then remembered what Toby said, "I know we're all freaks, Toby. But he's more a freak than the rest of us. He's got some screws loose in that pretty little noggin of his."

Grims smirked at Mike, "I don't think we properly got acquainted before all this. Wanna do the honors?"

Chuck was just getting up to get Kylie some PJ's, the nice silky ones with polka dots on them, when Kylie suddenly lurched forward.

"Oh god, what's wrong?!" he said, not sure what to do in a situation like this, it wasn't like people normally bent over at the mere touch of his hand.

On the subject of his hand... it was really starting to hurt from her surprisingly strong grip, but he didn't want to let go, especially after the little incident they had had not to long before.

"Hold on tight" he said as he scooped her up out of the couch and into his arms.

He carried her up the stairs and into what he liked to call "the atmosphere room", which featured a wall panel that could control the air temperature, pressure, and humidity at the touch of a button. He set it to humidify and carried her over to a small futon across the room, laying her down on it without letting go of her hand, just as the light mist started to pour in from the walls.

"I'll be right back with some water, ginger ale, and crackers. The ginger ale and crackers usually settle my stomach after I drink to much to fast, which is probably why your feeling like this. I should have never given you beer. OH NO, it's not your fault for drinking it. Your stomach's probably just not accustomed to it. I gotta shut up and go get this stuff, I'll be right back. Don't. Move." he rambled out a mile a minute, just wanting to help her, even though his ramblings were just wasting precious time.

He placed a quick kiss on her forehead before letting go of her hand and heading for the door.

"I know we're all freaks, Toby. But he's more a freak than the rest of us. He's got some screws loose in that pretty little noggin of his," Grims said to Toby. Freak. He didn't really want to be a freak. Freak. I mean, the powers were great. But if Toby actually told anyone, they would have thought he was crazy. Until he proved it, then he could be making the big dollars. He brushed the thought aside and put it in the maybe pile. It's not like he had a career path anyways.

"Well, uh, what's the big plan now?" Toby raised his eyebrows. Apples for dinner was not his idea for a decent meal. The PokéCentre had curry night tonight! "I don't want to be up here forever, you know."

"It's only for tonight. In the morning, we can hop on Shade, in a different form, and head to Cinnabar Island. I have...acquaintances there who can help us," Grims explained.

OOC: Short post is short ^_^

Kylie didn't quite remember how she ended up on the futon. She did remember holding onto Chucks hand for dear life, though, and therefore, she assumed that he had transported her there. She stared at him as he babbled at her, then got up and ran away. When his hand slid from her grasp and he sped out of the room, Kylie sat up suddenly, gasping for air. She didn't even know what just happened. It had almost been as if a huge amount of pressure had been put on her. Like the other times, like the pressure in her chest, but this time, on her whole body. She gasped a few more times, and, surprisingly quickly, her breathing returned to normal. She looked around the room she was now in - it wasn't one she was shown on the tour of the house before. Kylie stood up on shaky legs, laughing when she saw that he's put her in his bed with her rainboots still on. She slipped them off and placed them at the end of the futon, then began to walk soundlessly around the room, trying to orient herself and figure out where exactly she was.

"Ginger Ale, check. Water, check. Crackers, check. Silky smooth PJ's, check, but if I have to put them on her, I sure hope she doesn't wake up as I'm doing it." Chuck muttered to himself as he made his way back up the stairs with a tray, attempting to be a good host.

Pushing the door open with his butt, he came in to find Kylie wandering around the room, taking in her surroundings. It was, after all, a room that he hadn't shown her in the tour. Making his way to the futon and placing the tray down on the bedside table next to a remote, he saw that her rain boots were now off and placed next to the futon, a minor detail he had forgotten when placing her in bed. You forget things when you're trying to save a life.

Cracking a joke to lighten the mood, he made his way over to her slowly, despite the happiness he felt that she was okay "Up so soon?"

Sitting down on the futon and grabbing the PJ's from the tray, he handed them to Kylie as he spoke tiredly, "Well it's getting kind of late and I'm about to head to my bed, so you can either sleep in here, and risk getting eaten by scary monsters, or you can join me in my king size, where I can protect you..." he finished, flexing his muscles as a smile broke out on his face.

Shade rolled her eyes as Grims told Toby, "I know we're all freaks, Toby. But he's more a freak than the rest of us. He's got some screws loose in that pretty little noggin of his." I have to agree with Grims on that one, she thought.

"Well, uh, what's the big plan now? I don't want to be up here forever, you know," Toby raised his eyebrows. Figures he'd complain, Shade thought in disgust.

"It's only for tonight. In the morning, we can hop on Shade, in a different form, and head to Cinnabar Island. I have... acquaintances there who can help us," Grims said.

"What acquaintances?" Shade asked, speaking up again wondering who Grims knew on Cinnabar Island. Why take us all the way out there? she thought, calling out Fiere and Light. Going to her knees, Shade gave Fiere the apple core and handed Light an apple. "There you go," she said kindly, letting the gentle side she had only for her Pokemon be shown as she gently patted the Tepig and the Azurill on the head.

"Whatever," Toby rolled his eyes. Cinnibar? Seriously? Yes, Toby wanted to go to some hole in the ground with a volcano that wasn't quite proved dormant yet. Also, he loved the idea of lung disease and breathing in ash was one of his favourite things to do. EVER. Right.

Colin Henry packed up his things for the night. His day at the office had been an uneventful one. He was sick and tired working as a white collar, behind a computer all day. He took calls, he fetched coffee, he kissed ass. He didn't want to be here.

"Colin," his boss called him. Colin looked over his shoulder. He was just about to leave! He sighed and followed the man into his office. It was big, much bigger than Colin could ever hope for. Being called in this late either meant that he was being let off or something serious had happened. Colin really hoped for the former.

"Colin, we've had a little bit of a problem," the boss started slowly. Okay, this was good, this was good. "The probation officer stationed at the Vermillion Community Centre hasn't called in at all today." Crap. "Usually, she calls in at least three times to report how she's going. We've rung her mobile, her home, we've even rung the centre and got nothing. This is suspicious behaviour and we'd like to get you to go in tomorrow."

This wasn't so bad. At least he'd be out of the office.

"No problem," he nodded.

The windows in the Atmosphere Room smashed as the probation officer, armed with a brick in one hand and a large plank of wood in the other. She was wet, soaking actually, her hair now thick, long, dark and messy. Her were eyes blood red and she bared her teeth, hissing viciously. Body One had found her targets.

She threw the brick across the room, aimed at the girl. They were not getting away.

Sure Kylie was attractive, but there was no way in hell Chuck was taking a brick for a girl who he exchanged his first words with that same day. Yet, he wasn't a complete d***** and pushed her out of the way before ducking.

"The hell?!?!" he screamed at the officer, now realizing how right he was about her being a crazy b****

Kylie's giggles at Chuck flexing his (rather impressive) muscles turned to screams as the windows shattered around them. She fell back, landing on her bottom. That seemed to be happening all too often lately. Kylie looked up, not really knowing what to expect, and saw a crazed female, her hair long and dripping. She tipped her head back, her eyes catching the light - Kylie gasped when she realized who it was. And it wasn't the blood red eyes that gave it away.

"Isn't that... our probation officer!?"

Before she got an answer, Kylie looked back just in time to avoid being hit in the face by a brick. She was shoved to the gorund by Chuck, landing in some of the shattered glass, then got up and ran from the room, the glass cutting and crunching under her bare feet. The brick had smashed a hole in the wall, drywall dust adding to mixture of water and broken glass on the floor. For a split second, she debated sending out her Pokemon, then remembering the dead Mighteyena, decided against it.

"Chuck! Come on!" she yelled, standing in the doorway.

Grims just shrugged, "Acquaintances. That's all. They'll help us, no worries." What he didn't tell them was that his "acquaintances" were actually ex-convicts who had escaped from prison in Blackthorn City.

Chuck ran out of the room, following Kylie into the hallway. Grabbing her wrist and pulling, no, dragging her down the stairs to get them to safety, he grabbed his two pokéballs from in the living room before taking Kylie into the fairly small, when compared to the rest of the house, basement.

Handing her Gepedo's pokéball he spoke fast, but clearly "I only have two pokémon, the ditto in your hand, and the dragonite in mine. If things start to get really bad, fly back to the center and get help."

With that he pushed the button to release Drake from his pokéball. "S***" he screamed at the top of his lungs as he realized that he hadn't put Drake or Gepedo in their pokéballs when they got home, and already he was on his way up the stairs to save his two best friends.

"Drake! Drake! Gepedo! Drake!" he screamed running up the stairs and through the bottom floor, until he finally saw Drake in the kitchen with Gepedo in his hands.

"Gepedo, Mimic! Drake, RAGE" he screamed, risking the destruction of more then just the kitchen.
