    Machamp is best as Adamant, and anything it can do, Conkeldurr can do better.

    Politoed and Nidoking, are spot-on, though:

    Politoed:
    -Hydro Pump
    -Ice Beam
    -Focus Blast
    -Hypnosis/Psychic/Scald
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 172 HP/252 SAtk/84 Spe
    Item: Damp Rock
    Ability: Drizzle

    Nidoking:
    -Sludge Wave
    -Earth Power
    -Fire Blast
    -Ice Beam
    Nature: Modest/Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb
    Ability: Sheer Force
    What would you say the best moveset for machamp and conkeldurr are?

  • What would you say the best moveset for machamp and conkeldurr are?

    Conkeldurr:
    -Drain Punch
    -Mach Punch
    -Knock Off
    -Ice Punch/Stone Edge
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/236 SDef/20 Spe
    Item: Assault Vest
    Ability: Guts

    or
    -Bulk Up
    -Drain Punch
    -Mach Punch
    -Stone Edge/Knock Off/Ice Punch
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/236 SDef/20 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Guts

    Machamp:
    -Dynamic Punch
    -Knock Off
    -Stone Edge
    -Ice Punch/Bullet Punch
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spe
    Item: Assault Vest
    Ability: No Guard

    Conkeldurr outclasses Machamp because it has recovery in Drain Punch and a stronger priority move in Mach Punch. The guaranteed confusion from Dynamic Punch isn't enough to set Machamp apart from Conkeldurr.

  • How much speed does Tyrantrum need in Wi-Fi Battles?

    This spread would allow Tyrantrum to out run max speed Jolteon after a boost. However, there is a LOT of priority moves in this meta-game... so maybe I should invest a little more in HP?

    D.Dance-Tyrantrum@Focus Sash
    Strong Jaw
    Jolly
    252 ATK
    244 Spd (134 speed at Lv. 50, just enough to beat base 130s at 200, after D.D.)
    12 HP

    It's because they have low Sp.Defense, and Water attacks are often special attacks.

    Wondering if this is a decent in-game team for where I am at in the game and how I could improve! I am keeping my HMs where they are at though as this is an in-game team used for in-game obviously and exploring! Please send answers via private message as I might forget to check back unless you quote this! Please note that I did not IV breed or EV train so I wont even list those, instead I will just post their stats for their current level! Currently just about to enter the 7th Gym, the Psychic one! Let me know what you think:

    - Level 53, Cthulhu [Malamar] {Female}
    Ability: Suction Cups
    Nature: Careful, Held Item: Quick Claw
    HP: 164, ATK: 125, DEF: 114, SPATK: 81, SPDEF: 108, SPD: 111
    Moveset: Night Slash, Hypnosis, Psycho Cut, Cut

    - Level 57, Venus [Mawile] {Female}
    Ability: Hyper Cutter

    HP: 149, ATK: 130, DEF: 121, SPATK: 80, SPDEF: 85, SPD: 88
    Moveset: Play Rough, Iron Head, Power-Up Punch, Crunch

    - Level 51, Frostbite [Mamoswine] {Male}

    Moveset: Ice Shard, Earthquake, Ice Fang, Rock Slide

    - Level 53, Lynx [Linoone] {Female}

    HP: 170, ATK: 113, DEF: 81, SPATK: 72, SPDEF: 79, SPD: 143
    Moveset: Return, Strength, Shadow Claw, Dig

    - Level 54, Katzuko [Talonflame] {Female}
    Ability: Flame Body
    Nature: Hasty, Held Item: Sky Plate (?)
    HP: 167, ATK: 113, DEF: 80, SPATK: 111, SPDEF: 91, SPD: 185
    Moveset: Roost, Flare Blitz, Brave Bird, Fly

    - Level 53, Mishima [Greninja] {Female}
    Ability: Torrent
    Nature: Timid, Held Item: None (Need Help Choosing)
    HP: 152, ATK: 116, DEF: 98, SPATK: 128, SPDEF: 91, SPD: 172
    Moveset: Surf, Waterfall, Extra Sensory, Grass Knot

    What do you guys think? Will I be okay through the game? Where can I make improvements to my team? DO NOT RECOMMEND ME REPLACE ONE OF MY HM'S ON ANY POKEMON, I REPEAT, DO NOT RECOMMEND ME REPLACE ONE OF MY HM'S ON ANY POKEMON! Also how do you guys think I will fare in random online battles scaled to level 50 on my Pokemon X? Keep in mind I am not playing on any websites like smogon or the battling system here, will be battling ANY random Pokémon or Pokémon Trainers through in-game, 3DS or WiFi!

    Thanks in advance for any help you all may give!

    Cheers!

    Is a Jolly or adamant T-Tar a thing to do now a days?

    In Singles, yes, Adamant and Jolly Tyranitars are fairly common. In Doubles, idk, though I don't see why people wouldn't use them there either.

    Whats the best ability to use on arcanine?
    Flash fire Intimidate or justified?

    Intimidate or Flash Fire. The attack cut from Intimidate is useful for scaring off (pun not intended) physical attackers or to at least soften blows from physical attacks. Flash Fire is good for a free switch in on a predicted fire attack, which then also gives Arcanine a boost to its fire attack(s). Which one you use is up to what you need more.

    Justified is better on Pokemon with a Dark resist (like the Musketeers) so they take little damage when getting their boost.

    Whats the best set for both offensive and defensive gliscor and one thats mixed

    Defensive:

    Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
    Ability: Poison Heal
    Level: 50
    EVs: 68 Spd / 228 HP / 212 Def
    Impish Nature
    - Substitute / Taunt
    - Protect
    - Toxic
    - Earthquake

    Classic SubToxic set that makes your opponent hate you. It is faster than Tyranitar, the rest goes into Def. The HP allows it to generate substitutes without net losses.

    Pivot:

    Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
    Ability: Poison Heal
    Level: 50
    EVs: 228 Spd / 248 HP / 4 Atk / 28 Def
    Impish Nature
    - Taunt
    - U-Turn
    - Earthquake
    - Roost / Knock Off

    Faster than Landorus-T it allows you to U-Turn out of opponents and ease prediction. The last move depends on your preference: Longevity or extra team support?

    By the way, an offensive set is not viable. Because of the lack of a Flying Gem it is totally outclassed by Garchomp. Also, Gliscor sucks in VGC'14.

    In VGC, it can be, but it's not extremely common. Most TTar that are Jolly/Adamant are DDance sets as normal TTar, or they could also be DDance Mega set. In the Meta as it is, they're completely outclassed by Timid TTar because of the mass amounts of Intimidate/WoW.

    It depends on the metagame and the set. The more commen Tyranitars in VGC are actually specially aligned Timid with Rock Slide. Jolly Tyranitar is usually only seen on the Mega with Dragon Dance. Although they aren't as popular as they used to be, Adamant Tars with HP still exist - it is their versatility that makes them so dangerous.
