Don't get me wrong, I love it, I'm just concerned, as others have said, that the banner is huge. You can only fit in 2 forums on a 900px high screen. There are a huge number of people still using 768px, so that basically becomes a title screen.

Unless you can think of a way to shrink it once you leave the main page...

Also! I want to see that postbit. :D

^ Mmhmm, the bigger number of members here still use 768. The header covers almost my entire screen. xD; And like with Generation Inverse, the width stretches really bad. I looove this layout, and it looks awesome, but is there any way to make the width stretch with the window (to work with all sizes)? Instead of some of us having to scroll back and forth to see the whole thing? @__@

That aside, I love the colors, and the 'Welcome!' stats window.

Can't wait to see the postbit.

Like I said, this is a fluid style, but you're also viewing an image taken from a resolution larger than yours, so there's going to be some scrolling that you'll have to do. Unless I'm misreading what's being said, I don't see how it's much of a concern. If you can use Pichu² (which has a banner larger in width), then you won't have an issue with using New Directions; apart from the fact that there's an extra 130px or so in the banner height.

looking pretty good so far, I like the style, header, and overall look (hopefully you have more plans for the postbit and so on..)

I do see one major issue: there is no breadcrumbs links.. and as you really need that to nav and get back to the forum section(s), it should be next on your list of things todo.

I've seen the postbit live it's awesome

I'm loving it Nick, and I cant wait to see some of the other features, including what I suggested on MSN. But I'm not sure how much I like the bar on the top right following me, it would be nice if there was a button on it to make the position be static at the header instead of being fixed, it's a little distracting and it can actually cover posts when you read them. Or possibly have the opacity fade out to 0.1 when you hover off, and when you hover over it, it can go to 1 again. Easily done with some HTML and the opacity element. I looked at it just now, and it doesn't seem all that bad, but try either of the alternatives, because it being fixed, is the only thing putting me off about the style.

The header covers most of my screen also, other than the nav, but I never much had issue with large headers, I like them in fact, this is why we have a scroll bar, but I can see how it would be a pain to anyone with a really low height resolution.

*nod nod*

I have some plans that I showed Fausty and Jake with some other remodels that I was thinking about, and got some suggestions from Abnegation and Hiiro and a few others who've seen this style in the workings. I'm trying to get a little bit away from the typical vBulletin standards, like Jake was talking about wanting in his blog, and really take a different approach on styles with template remodels. I'm still figuring some things out for the postbit, but apart from what you see, that's the most I can think of having.

I know. I'm trying to find somewhere to put the breadcrumb links, and I'm sure Fausty is as well.

Omg I'm in love. Other than no breadcrumb it looks great. Like how your notifications follow you. Helps if you display a lot of posts per page in a thread.

Couple things.
1) The line between the post and the signature should be a bit darker. It's kind of hard to tell which is which. :|
2) Is it me, or is the avatar not showing up on the right-hand corner of the screen?

I'm really liking the new features I'm seeing. I've seen how the new post bit will look like, and I'm especially anxious for that. The welcome bar is also a nice new feature. I'm okay with it following you down as you scroll (it really makes things easier when you want to get to your Notification or Reports, but you're on a page with a long set of replies). Perhaps taking Gavin's opacity suggestion will do it good though in case it's covering part of a post.

If you could, thinking of those who don't like it following you as you scroll down, make it an option perhaps.
2) Is it me, or is the avatar not showing up on the right-hand corner of the screen?
I just asked Nick about that, and it's currently being worked on so users will have their avatar appear. It doesn't show up for me either.

I want to use this style now, despite it not being complete yet. ;A;

I second this. I love this style, though I do agree that a small banner option would be nice when accessing from a net book or mobile device. Fantastic work guys.

Anyone have any other suggestions you'd like implemented?

Template changes and changes to the default vBulletin "experience" or resembles to other forum systems that you'd like to see are, of course, acceptable suggestions.

I like it... the only thing I'd say is that I don't really care for the font used in the banner. It's very curvy, while rest of the banner is pretty straight lined... it looks rather out of place, at least to me.

And I don't like the right postbit >_> Seems awkward to me.

Think you could jazz up the quote boxes a little? Like the [js] quote or the quotes in Generation Inverse.
Come to think of it, I kinda like the area around the avatar and info (I think that's the postbit area) from InVerse too. I like them slightly styled up .

I'm loving this theme except for two things. One being a simple code error, where it says "Welcome, <username>" there's a spot in front of it where code is showing, it says "height=".

The second issue is the previously mentioned Right Hand Postbit. I don't like it at all, so I hope the final release includes an option to disable it. I like my postbit firmly glued to the top of my posts thank you very much.

Another issue: WHERE IS MY NAVBAR? >O
I pretty much rely on those breadcrumb links so I want them back NAO. *is totally lost ;o;*

I've totally wanted to do this, but ...:[ I have nooo idea what template I'd find that in.

This is sooooo cool. :D The right-side postbit actually looks awesome (I hate it in phpBB 3.)

Keep working on this, it's amazing so far. <3
~Based it off your old postbit~

The height= is supposed to be where the avatar is. Fausty was working on that, so I can't really say much about it since I don't know myself. He's having trouble getting the avatar to show up.

Breadcrumb links aren't there yet since we haven't found a place to put them, since we split the breadcrumbs and leaving the remaining just looked so ugly.
