Do you have any favorite Pokemon?

Hi! My account is old, but this is my first post here!

Hello there and welcome (officially) to the PC!

Do you have a favorite Pokemon game?

Thank you and hello!

Yes, my favorite game is Pokemon Crystal, but I'm also a big Emerald, Arceus, and SuMo fan!

Really good pick for a favorite! Crystal was very well paced while also having a ton of stuff to do. (I just wish the remakes kept the same structure... >.>)

Hi chat I'm back :3 I don't really have much to say tbh, I've just been playing the mystery dungeon games (and playing soulsilver, I think my starter was Cyndaquil but I want to change to Chikorita because it's my favourite Johto starter). I think I might be enjoying the spin-offs more than the main series because of the unique mechanics and everything :D
Also another super underrated spin-off series is the Colosseum/XD Gale of Darkness games. The shadow Pokémon are so cool and I like that we have to purify them to make them return to normal :3 if only it wasn't left to fade into obscurity though :c

Welcome back, Sp4rk_H3artz!

Hi everyone, long time pokemon fan. I like to tell people that pokemon stadium was my first real taste of happiness. If you think about it, it was kinda like pokemon's first take at a roguelike (loosely anyway). That being said, I've become thoroughly addicted to the roguelike genre, and absolutely loved playing pokemon emerald rogue and pokerouge! So much so I made my own pokemon roguelike mod, pokevoid, really happy with it, and can't wait for others to try it out too! Just in case, rather than posting a ton of info on it here, I'll be posting more info in the showcase section.

Happy to join other pokemon fans!
Cheers!

Thanks Gardevoir! I've been a fan since Yellow, so I guess we're rivals ;)
But tbh didn't get highly addicted as a kid until pokemon stadium, that changed everything. After that really got into Pokemon (more in depth, when ruby dropped - don't think I appreciated crystal as much as I should have!
have been a lurker on this forum for a while, since pokeabbie put out poke emerald rogue, not sure what literal pokemon fans are, but metaphorically I'm a pretty solid pokemon fan, I mean I had to stop myself from saying solid rock in the previous sentence, but that may just be my dad-like reflexes kicking in

Well, by literally Pokémon fans, what I meant was... *Points at myself* ^^
I played Pokémon Stadium 2, it was fun! And since it had that adaptator device to put on paddle, I could insert the Gold version in and play it in colors, on big screen, it was neat!
I also had fun on Ruby with my one-Pokémon-team Swampert! Do you have a top favourite Pokémon ? Mine has been Charizard since Red!

Thanks from the Mod of this section for making things easier for me. Indeed full game info doesn't really go in this section unless it's an answer to another user's question lol.

Do you have a favorite Pokemon Typing?

Same for me tbh, I didn't become addicted to Pokémon through conventional means (aka the games), I found out about it through the anime (Specifically XY and XYZ, they were and are still one of my favourite anime, I would come home from school to watch an episode on Pokéflix) and also the trading card game as it was pretty popular in my old school :D also I love pokérogue and emerald rogue, the concept of roguelikes is both fun but also frustrating at the same time, no pillows were harmed while playing btw
Also as soon as I see the word solid my brain just immediately jumps to metal gear solid, I think there's something wrong with me :3

Do you have a favorite Pokemon Typing?
I know I'm not the one being asked here but for me it's either Fairy or Psychic. Psychic was the type I first knew about and I really liked the type that had all the smart and mysterious Pokémon (like Alakazam and Mewtwo for example), plus psychic powers were always super cool to me.
As for the fairy typing, I love pink, I love fairies and I think a lot of the fairy Pokémon have such cute designs (SYLVEOONNNN) and also the fairy typing made Pokémon more accessible to me as someone who was a girl, it's hard to explain but back then Pokémon was more of a boys thing (which I think is a little dumb tbh), so the fairy type felt more welcoming and was basically like "hey there's a place for you in Pokémon regardless of your gender"

The two main Types of one of my favorite Pokemon! Cool! I also enjoy pink Pokemon, and especially when it's a shiny where their base colors are widely different.
I also agree that Pokemon was originally much more marketed towards boys, I get 'why' they did that back then, but it was in my opinion a waste to not try to appeal to anyone for the possibility of more players = more money. Limiting who a product is marketed to like that, especially by stupidly and needlessly gendering it, is a poor decision by any company as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't matter what a person's 'got at birth', their money's still money lol.
Oh, and please give this thread a read-through IMPORTANT! New site users please read this!

Yayyyy another pink Pokémon enjoyer :DDDDDD For me, my favourite shiny Pokémon are Mareep and Ampharos, they are so and silly and jolly, plus they're carrying me in my playthroughs of emerald and soulsilver.
Also fun fact (I don't know if others would call it fun) but people thought my friends and I were weird because we liked a lot of things that were "for boys" like Minecraft and Pokémon. It got to the point where I questioned if I was even born a girl in the first place :3 it wasn't until two years ago that I realized that putting genders on hobbies and media is stupid, and that Pokémon can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone :D
Also thanks for the thread btw, I always forget how to respond to multiple posts without having to reply more than once ;w; my memory is very bad

Yep! I enjoy any shiny Pokemon who's colors are different enough from the base colors to stand out, pink, green, yellow, anything. I'm mostly just not fond of shinies that are nearly identical to what they normally look like cause it feels pointless to have and hunt for them since they don't really look different.
I liked more 'girly' things when I was a child, and I was always called weird too. I've grown into someone who fully believes people should be able to like whatever they like without stupid judgements like that. Interestingly, I never questioned how I was born, but rather why everyone else gave a s''' about what I liked instead of minding their own business and liking their own things. >.>
And you're welcome! I needed to tell newer users so often that I just decided to type it all out in that one thread I can just link to when needed to save time lol. :p
