Hi thanks for the warm welcome! I've been eyeing some candidates but until I get a new PC I can't really get the fan games. I am mostly focusing my time on Rom hacks cause I inject them onto my 3DS but if you have any good recommendations for either i'm always down to hear them!

OK, then I wish you good luck to get a good new PC. I will give you some suggestions for when you get it : There is Solar Light - Lunar Dark (full of fakémon), Zeta / Omicron, Insurgence (my top favourite with lots of great fakémon, Delta variants, to add to the 6 first generations, lots of maps to explore, great means to train a team, ...)!
And if you are into top level battles, there is Reborn (also with hairpulling puzzles) and Desolation (not finished yet but already many hours of playing)!

I have been playing pkmn since I'm 6 years old, haha. Back in the day with a game boy. RED was my first edition! :wynaut-laugh: Obsessed ever since. (so like +20 years, haha)

Neat! I have been playing since Red too! Charizard has been my top favourite Pokémon ever since! What about your favourite ?
Red will also always be my favourite Pokémon game. Nostalgia! ^^

I'm also very nostalgic about the old games :) I have actually a few favorites. I picked charizard, too btw! I do love arcanine and articuno as well as jolteon from the old gens. (Jolteon is my fave electric pokemon for sure and has to be in my team always). But I also adore dreepy and tyrantrum! :wynaut-laugh: Dreepy just has a really neat typing since I love ghost and dragon.

Edit: Speaking of Dreepy... Do you know by any chance where to find it? I found an explanation here in the forum but it doesn't help me. Are there two Phoenix hideouts? In the one I was there were no wild pkmn whatsoever lol

I love Tyrantrum too, as well as others like Rayquaza, Haxorus and Salamence! I have a nice fakémon in my favourites who is Dragon / Ghost types (Delta Charizard from the Insrugence fan game - my favourite fan game by the way -, called mine Shadowyrm!)

Oh it was too late for me last evening, sorry, haha. I was talking about the Romhack Scorched Silver. And I figured it out by now!

The Delta Charizard looks absolutely sick, wow. I definitely have to this game out! :D

I sure can suggest to try Insurgence! Around 800 Pokémon, + 100 fakémon with cool looks, many areas to explore, neat means to train a team and other Pokémon for evolution, ...
No other fan game I tried made me feel like this when I reached the last Pokémon to catch, like I had reached the end of a long and great journey!
