What's strange is over the past few weeks (getting closer to E3) we've had game makers and game companies come out and say they're going to make games for the Wii.
Ones like SNK saying they're making Metal Slug, Sega is making Super Monkey Ball, Marvel making Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, EA making a Madden game, Tecmo making a golf game, Konami making some sort of shooter (I think this one will be from Hideo Kojima), Atari making some DBZ game, Activision making a Tony Hawk game, as well as others.
I wonder what E3 will hold in store.


And some of the things I can't wait for is some new in-game screens and most of all, some Super Smash Bro screens (or trailers).

Yeah, by the looks of it, the Wii is already having more success with third party developers than the Gamecube had, I hope it stays this way. I can't wait until E3 either, we are so close, I want to see what games they will be showing off. There are a lot of games that I'm looking forward to, especially all the Nintendo ones. I think that a lot of developers are going to be looking at Nintendo on how to make games for the Wii since they have had the advantadge of having a lot of time to get to know the control and how it works. Also from the Madden interview on IGN, the guy who is making the game says that the nunachuk attachmen will also be able to sense movement through an accelerometer, I don't think Nintendo had said that before but I think they gave him the OK to say that.

I'm glad they're doing live coverage. I could go to E3 if: A.) I had a way to get to California(It's not that far away considering I live in Arizona, and B.) I could afford to miss 3 days of school. It's hard to beleive E3 is next week.

You do know E3 isn't open to the public right? I mean you got to be apart of some news source to get in (G4, GameSpot, IGN, Rev Report etc).


Wow I thought this thread would have taken off since E3 was so close. But looks like I was wrong (no posts in three days....).
I'm going to try to push this thread to make it like the center of Nintendo talks for E3 on PC. So be ready guys to post about games, screens, trailers and Wii info. Lets see if we can make this thread have some big Nintendo talks like we did at last year's E3. I even slapped together a small NFC E3 06 banner (it'll be in my sig).

Now does it really feel like it's been a year since we first saw the Wii when it was pulled out and we saw this strange looking box?


Lets see, some new games have came out (that was said to be on the Rev). Like [URL="https://www.revolutionreport.com/articles/read/436"]Call of Duty 3, Metal Slug Anthology, 3 Midway games, 3 Activision titles, and a One Piece game.


Blaze: I don't get why the whole "Wiiiiii" (you know there shouldn't be any caps XD) thing was for me. I like the name. XD


Oh and trying to get a good topic going... What Wii games will everyone be buying?
 
Well, I guess three days was enough, some important things happened during those three days, some developers said they had Wii games in the making and the DS Lite was given a release date and price. The DS Lite will come to the US on June 11 for "as low as 129.99" which could mean that they will have some bundles!!! Midway said that a Wii version of Blitz: The League is in the making and Activision said they had three Wii titles that they were making and would be available during the consoles "launch window" and I could name two of them, Tony Hawks Downhill Jam since it was already announced and Call of Duty 3 because they showed a teaser trailer with a "Nintendo Revolution" text at the end. I'm guessing that the third title might be Marvel Alliance since I think Spiderman 3 won't come out until sometime when the movie comes out.

I wasn't here for last year's E3 PC talk but I'm going to enjoy this year starting with tomorrows press conference!! I'll take one of those Nintendo E3 banners, the blue one will look good. It really doesn't feel like it's been a year at all but these last few days before E3 seem the longest!

I am going to save up a ton of money so I can get all the good launch titles but as far as the games that have been revealed I'm thinking of picking up these:

Super Smash Bros. Wii
Metroid Prime 3
Red Steel
Madden 07
Mario Wii (128)
Call of Duty 3
Rayman Raving Rabbids

There are some other ones that I can't remember but I'm sure some of you will mention them and make me remember. Also, just to fuel some Wii graphics speculation, did anyone else see the IGN Weekly episode for last week? Some guy from Gearbox said that they were learning how to take advantadge of the next gen power and then he said, "All the platforms will have multi-processor capabilities." I think that's pretty important if the Wii has a dual core processor instead of one, it could be a big difference, I don't really care about the graphics but this could be a plus. Now why would they say that when people have been saying that the Wii will only have one core? Could they have just been ignoring the Wii and just be talking about the 360 and PS3?

Yea I read something on the DSLite being out soon. I was kind of shocked that it wasn't when the new Mario game was going to come out.
That Mario game would have gave it a great boost on DSLite sells.

I'm also saving up. But I wondering how I'll get the money to buy the Wii and a good many games.

But for me I'll be getting....

If the Wii has a dual core processor then it'll be good (I guess). But like you said, it really doesn't matter. And like we've said before, look at titles like RE4, and Star Wars games, and Metroid and so on. Them games look really really great on the GC. And if the Rev can make all games look like that (and make some look even better) then that's about all we need. The Wii graphics isn't going to make anyone go "OH!!! Look at how good that looks" (ok I might say that when I see a good looking game because I don't think it'll look as good as the PS3 and 360 games so I'm setting the standards lower and if I see something great I'll be shocked). But I'd love to see some games with some really good graphics (more or less to say "Look at this game, it shows the Wii doesn't totally suck on graphics").
 
I would consider buying a Lite if they ever released the navy one here. But personally I think the white one is fugly. >>

These last few days before E3 are torture. I just hope that I get to hear everything before I leave for class on Tuesday. XD

I like the white one and the navy one equally but since white is coming first I'll just grab that.

Square Enix is making Crystal Chronicles for the Wii, I know you know but today they announced that they are also making another game for the Wii that will "make Japanese RPG fans very happy" I wonder what it could be? I say its a Dragon Quest game.

Activision also announced their three Wii launch titles:

Tony Hawk Downhill Jam
Call of Duty 3
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

Oh, and guys, don't let those visuals underwhelm you, there is obviously something wrong with them. I'm saying this because those screens are vey blurry and the graphics look bad even for this gen, I think there is something wrong with them like they weren't captured the right way or they were taken by someone as spy pics which lowered the quality especially since they're in 16:9 format which means 480p graphics.

Well, Square Enix has revealed the new Nintendo Wii game and it's Dragonquest Swords which will be a launch title, they also revealed that Crystal Chronicles for the DS will have 4 player action and the Wii Crystal Chronicles is called Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers.

I also have some things from the next issue of EGM which says this about the Wii:

$249 Price tag
Virtual Console (we knew this)
3d Controller (we knew this)
ALWAYS online (console is always online, even when OFF)
Built in speaker on the controller

Only a couple more days until we know for sure.

They do look sort of fuzzy. But for all we know that could be like the bottom of the Wii graphics power. We all know some games looks great on the GC, and others look like crap. Or like you said, them screens could have something wrong with them.

Well looks like Square didn't ditch Nintendo. Not only two Wii titles but a DS one and one or two GBA titles.
But we all know FFXIII is the big hit from Square (I was about to jump out of my chair when I saw the screens XD).

A 250 price tag sounds right to me. I'm sure some of you remember me saying I want a 200-250 price tag to keep not only the hopes high that Nintendo didn't run everything out but also to keep people from saying "It's too low so it has nothing". So I'm really happy about the 250 tag.

Always online? I'm guessing for like Wii chats. Because ones who has AIM/MSN will know that you can't IM someone offline. So maybe it'll be like "Hey Andy, want to battle on SSB? I know you're not there right now but say something when you get back on so we can battle.". We'll see.

Speaker on the controller..... Ok I guess that's good, maybe having sounds coming from everywhere (like a surround-sound sort of thing).

Well, little over 16 hours till this thread fills with chats about the Wii, DS, games and so on.
 
Speaker on the controller = not good. Especially if it takes the place of a rumble function. Plus it also rules out microphone functionality, since there most likely would be interference. =/

And if it's $249...guess who won't be buying one.

Personally, I hope all this EGM stuff is a bunch of bullcrap. >>
 
I won't be. Not until the price drops, at least. Unless something gets revealed that justifies the $249 price. Because if this EGM crap is true, any hopes I had of liking the Wii (which were few anyway) just went flying out the window. I'm really disappointed with what Nintendo's offering this gen, if what EGM says is true. It's become just another overpriced console that's just marginally better than this gen's offerings, with a cheap marketing gimmick to make it sell. =/

I'll save my final verdict until after tomorrow though.
 
Disappointed? How? I mean you got that controller (it'll be great for FPS games, Baseball games, sword games and so on). You got downloading NES, SNES, N64, Sega (and something else) games to the Wii. Fully wireless. Free online play (come on, wouldn't you like to battle some friends on PC to an SSB match?). Download play (if you have friends with a Wii they can bring it over and you guys can have a LAN party). The lowest priced system out there, and it's going to be great.
I know you might not like the price Robo, but it's going to be different then the normal systems you got now. It'll be something new to gaming.
 
Aaaaaaaand...that's all gone down the drain. Sony's screwed Nintendo over. They just revealed the PS3 controller and it works exactly like the Wii controller. So basically all the Wii is now is an underpowered PS3 with fewer games and a Virtual Console.
