I predict it will cost $1000000000000000000... (you see how this will end... so why to write it)....0001!!!!! .... Actually... about $200 or around that... possibly.

yeah, if we took all our posts and put them on pages, i think we would have over half of the current fan club XD (and not only because we post alot, but also because our posts are so long)

o yeah, compared to most of the other game fanclubs, this has done extrememly well.

Remember, not all games have to use the touch screen in actual play. they could just use it in interactive menues, or they could add on another move for each character and have it be a distance attack where you use the touch screen to shoot it at your opponents (like in Yohsi: Touch and Go).

as of now, there has been no official price released by Nintendo, but they said they will be selling it cheaper to ensure a wide audience. i would say $200-$300 (but thats just an estimate; of course i can't see Nintendo making it more).

In addition, I heard on CNN.com that the price of games for the 3rd Gen. systems will increase by $5, but that was only announced by 3rd parties, i have no idea about official Nintendo games.

Guess what i saw on ebay? It turns out that if you were "in" with Nintendo that at e3 you got a free DS demo of The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess!!!!! Its going on ebay for over $100 dollars. That is sweet.

Finally, i would like to post this somewhere where people can read it and know a little about the Revolution for themselves. ign.com compiled a FAQ for the Nintendo Revolution, including interviews, as well as ALL updated official announcements and the what not. Arcanine, how did you make the button in your siggy a link? I guess making my button a link would attract some attention, but this is really helpful and tells everything there is to know about the Revolution. Here is the link:

I bet it's not going to be over $250. Nintendo said they want their systems to be in the price range of most kids/teens. So I don't think they are going to go way out like $500 dollars.
I mean not even the PS3 is going to be $500 dollars (I was reading on GS and they said it will be priced below $427 dollars or something like that, round it off to an even number and it will most likely be 400 even like the PS2).

Our posts makes up 2 of the 5 pages, as well as 12 more posts added to them two pages. So yea both of us do make up 1/2 of this thread. XD

I was looking at the NDS Fan Club and it took some times to get at least 5 pages. So if this club keeps growing as it is now then it will get large fast.

Nintendo.com also said they are going to remake FFIII for the Nintendo DS. So that's another Final Fantasy game on the DS (even if it is an old one, but they are going to redo it a little).

If the games are going up then I think they would add an even $10 more to the price (like DS games, they are around 40 dollars where the GBA games are around 30).

thats what i orgionally thought, but the major third party leaders said they would increase $5 (probably a little bit at a time; $10 would be a bit much; but it is wierd that they are using such an odd number; i would say they will just keep bumping it up a little at a time)

I know, 50 is like an even number for games. So to me it may or may not go up.

So what do all of you think about this? I think the Revolution will be the final name but what do you guys think if Nintendo changes the name?
 
I guess i wouldn't mind it. Its much better than the Xbox360 (when the stupid thing isn't even a circle) and is more creative than the PS3. Its a pretty cool name and i wouldn't mind it if they stuck with it. I am more concerned with it living up to that name.

kinda weird to quote myself, but i wondered how that would work on the DS. I want it, but there are only 2 copies on ebay and they're expensive. The DS must have better graphics than people think to be able to run it, though.

I hope they stick with the name, the Revolution sounds good and I would hate to see it go.

I wouldn't put much hope in that demo on ebay. I mean here are a few reasons why.
1: ebay has this thing of people selling stuff just to get their name out there or just for fun. Like before the PSP came out someone was selling a PSP there for 1 cent, and it wasn't pics of the PSP they posted, it was the DS. And I've seen and heard of other fake stuff (people buying games and never get anything or getting a box etc).
2: Who in their right mind would sell a demo of a game where there are only a hand full of copies out there? And only Nintendo people could get it so I don't think they would sell it.
3: If Nintendo found out about it then they would contact that person. Because if they were giving out demos then there should be a line on the box that says "Not for resale". So all Nintendo has to do is come along and say "Read that line on the box that says "Not for resale", what you're doing is trying to sell the demo".
 
can i join? I WUV NINTENDO! what consoles from nintendo i have are the NGC and the GBA SP, I might get the NR.

I have almost all consoles for Nintendo.
I might get NR, if the games are interesting.
And GBM...interesting, but no point of getting one for myself, I love my purple GBA too much to sell it for GBM.
Unless GBM can do something special.
 
You should get the Rev Austin, it will be good. And if you get it it will be like having all the big systems before it (since you can play all the NES, SNES and N64 games).

This is going to sound a little stupid, but what is a fan club? Do you just talk about it? I sort of know what it is.

Question to all: What is your favorite mini games out of all the Mario Parties? My favorite for each game:

1. Running of the Bulb
2. SkateBoard Scamper
3. The Star Boss
4. BookSquirm
5. Hockey
6. BasketBall

These are not for sure my favorite mini games. But it gives you an idea of which ones I like...

My overall favorite would have to be Running of the Bulb in Mario Party 1. But I still like number 6 better. But I remember how much I loved that mini game.

So I searched around to see if they really did give them out at e3, and sure enough, if you were ?close? (they didn?t define ?close?) to Nintendo, you got a free copy (I assume if you worked for them or sumtin). I don?t know whether or not selling them is illegal, or if Nintendo just gave them away and don?t care what you do with them. Point of the matter, though, is that having one of those would be sweet (even if it only was a demo). I would love to see how it looks on the DS. Wish I worked for Nintendo XD

yeah, pretty much. It?s a thread where a group of people who like something post about it, and chat with other fans. In the Nintendo Fan Club, we talk about Nintendo, their upcoming news, their systems, games, wish lists, etc. Pretty much anything that has to do with Nintendo.

I wish I could tell you my fav Mini-Game. But I haven't played any Mario Party game in years so I wouldn't know. XD

I just went to GameSpot and here is a little something they put up in their Weekly Rumor hing (here is the page for all the rumors this week).

RUMOR #2: The Nintendo Revolution won't be released until Q4 2006. Source: An article in the latest issue of UK game-trade magazine, MCV.

The official story: "Nintendo does not comment on rumors or speculation."--Nintendo spokesperson.

What we heard: When it showed off a prototype at its pre-E3 press conference last week, Nintendo openly said that its next-generation console wouldn't arrive until 2006. So the question arose: When in 2006? Sony said it is aiming for a spring release with the PlayStation 3, which left Nintendo in a strategic dilemma. Should it go toe-to-toe with the PS3's launch date, or should it wait until the all-important holiday season to build up a critical mass of launch titles? An article in today's MCV indicates that the company has chosen the latter, as it quotes a "senior Nintendo source" as saying, "We're currently looking at mirroring the DS strategy, so Revolution would release in the US first in November, closely followed by Japan. Then we're looking at March 2007 for PAL territories." If true, the MCV article would mean that the Revolution would hit the market six months after the PS3 and a full year after the Xbox 360, which is hardly an envious place to be.

Bogus or not bogus?: Though nothing is official, given MCV's integrity, this is looking like it's not bogus.

It's going to piss off a lot of people (everyone has to wait till the end of 06 to get the Rev, play the next SSB game, download all the old games etc). I hope they don't let it out at the end of 06.
 
They won't. In the IGN FAQ, the President of Nintendo said that they would beat Sony's release date, for "it gave Sony an advantage that we were never able to overcome." As PS3 is set for release Spring '06, nintendo will do whatever they can to not be beaten by the PS3. Nintendo is not stupid.
