A rather juicy Direct from Nintendo today! A few parts had been covered previously, however here's a somewhat TL;DR list of what was announced today:

    Fresh, New and Exciting

Super Smash Brothers Ultimate - Banjo & Kazooie have been announced to release...today! In light of this, they have released a demonstration video on how to use the dynamic duo, so make sure to look out for that. A shock announcement however, was that Terry Bogard from the Fatal Fury/King of Fighters series was announced as a character! ARE YOU OK, BUSTER WOLF?!
Link's Awakening - We got some more footage of gameplay, including some NPCs and some Nintendo cameos! A Chamber Dungeon feature was also show, where you can obtain rooms throughout the game and use them to make a dungeon for your friends to play through!
Luigi's Mansion 3 - A new Luigi's Mansion game announced! A very hype starting point for the Direct, the new game takes place in a haunted hotel, with specific themes on each floor; there are also a load of mini-games which have been showcased! Release date being October 31st (of course).
Super Kirby Clash - A new Kirby Party game! 4-player madness involving juggling different jobs to make sure you have the right ones to get the job done (pun intended). Think FFX-2 but with cute pink blobs. Launching later on today!
Little Town Hero - An interesting turn-based strategy RPG (developed by GameFreak!), where you defeat enemies by choosing the right 'Idea'. Music composed by Toby Fox! Available for pre-purchase later today.
Fire Emblem Tokyo Mirage Sessions - Tokyo Mirage Sessions x Fire Emblem, essentially.
Deadly Premonition 2 - The long-awaited sequel of the Deadly Premonition game makes its way to the Switch! Due to release in 2020.
Return of Obra Dinn - A very pointillistic game, involving a time-travelling mechanic where you travel backwards in time to try and find out what happened to the Obra Dinn and what caused it to come back! Due to release Autumn 2019.
Rogue Company - An original shooter for the Switch, it seems very objective-based in their games modes.
Mario & Sonic Olympic Games - Announced in lieu of the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, there are some events which were revealed to be in the "retro" style of the older Mario/Sonic games!
Dauntless - The Monster Hunter x Low Graphics x Machinae game makes its way to the Nintendo Switch.
Animal Crossing - A load of bits touched on following previous announcements, with a few extras added in. Notable features included:
    - NookiaPhone
    - Pitching a tent to start your "village"
    - Crossing rivers with a pole
    - USING WEEDS FOR CRAFTING
    - Local and Online Multiplayer!!!

    Remakes, Ports, etc.

Dragon Quest XI S - A definitive version of the latest Dragon Quest game, which includes you being able to travel to previous Dragon Quest regions! There is a playable demo on the eShop now!
Trials of Mana - A HD remake of the classic Seiken Densetsu 3, expected to release April 24th, 2020!
Overwatch - Due to release on the Nintendo Switch on October 15th
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Announced to be on the Switch.
Deadly Premonition: Origins - In light of the new game announced, the original games will be available on the Switch later on today.
Doom 64 - The 400,000th port and the 400,000th Bethesda re-re-re-release, coming to the Nintendo Switch!
Tetris 99 updates - A lot more has been put into the game following its success, developing on the versus aspect a lot more.
Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2 - Announced to be on the Switch.
Witcher 3 - Announced to be on the Switch.
Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection - Announced to be on the Switch.
Ni No Kuni - Announced to be on the Switch.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition - The original Chronicles game in the Xenoblade series is coming back to the Nintendo Switch as a Definitive Edition! Not much was dropped apart from a trailer, however more content about this has been promised!

    And.......

SNES Games library - what we've all been waiting for, SNES games are finally coming to the store! It sounds like there are going to be a lot of titles coming out on this, however here are the first 20 (coming as soon as tomorrow) they plan on releasing:

    Spoiler:

There will also be a retro SNES controller for the Switch itself, priced at a somewhat reasonable $30! Get those before they're snapped up quick!!!

And that's it from today's Direct. Anything that made you fly off your seat in excitement? Anything you wanted them to mention but didn't?

Also: if you are wondering why there is no SwSh mention here, that's because it is being discussed in our Pokémon Sword and Shield forum section, so go there!

Sans Undertale is pretty fire. I'm happy to see Toby Fox making friends with Sakurai and being really happy on Twitter about it.

Terry Bogard is also smoking hot (those guns!), even though I've only seen Fatal Fury, KoF, and other SNK cabinets being played in local arcades. I'm glad he got in. I'll try to familiarize myself with him and his games before he releases. I hope his genderbent version gets in just to finally have a female DLC character.

Trials of Mana is always nice to see, and I just keep hoping it turns out great, because the original is near and dear to my heart.

Everything else I quoted I am very happy about. Great Direct overall!

Fire Emblem Tokyo Mirage Sessions - Tokyo Mirage Sessions x Fire Emblem, essentially.
Did you mean Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem?! shakes fist angrily

All-in-all, a pretty solid Direct. Super looking forward to Link's Awakening and Dragon Quest, TMS#FE is bound to be fun as well, and Divinity 2 on the Switch is damn sick! If I finally get through my Switch backlog in summer and need more titles to play, I'd definitely pick up Trials of Mana as well if the pre-mentioned stuff doesn't satisfy me that long (though I still have to get through FE Three Houses and Astral Chain, so I doubt anything more than Link's Awakening would see play anytime soon).

Really really happy with the Direct even if there aren't many titles I'm interested in. TMS#FE could have been my highlight as I've read so many good things of it that I'm happy I'll get the chance to play it, similarly for Xenoblade Chronicles, even if I was kinda expecting something new or bigger as the last drop (I fell for the Sunshine or Metroid Prime Trilogy remake rumors...). Link's Awakening and Dragon Quest are two I was already planning on getting so nothing really new here, same for The Witcher 3, Mario & Sonic, and LM3 which though I'll wait some time for.

Also happy to get a release date for Grid Autosport, that's one of the games I'm looking forward to the most, if only because there's a serious lack of non-arcade racing games on the Switch (the Gear Club titles are really bad). Though I'm still skeptical of how well such a game can work on Switch without analog triggers, so I'll still wait for reviews to drop.

Rogue Company seems nice, though I hope there's substantial single-player content, which is what I miss from modern shooters.

It's great to hear that Ultimate will get even more fighters, I haven't bought anyone after Joker yet but I really appreciate the care towards details so I'm hyped for anyone who comes next. Still more hope for Crash, if only for the laugh of having the three console mascots of the 90s literally fighting against each other!

Little Town Hero and Animal Crossing are the only titles I'm interested in, as expected. Maaaaybe the Mana game too, though I've never played any in that series before. Still a pretty decent direct!

Nothing really got me excited tbh. It was nice seeing some more Animal Crossing, but it still a ways off. I'm just grateful I don't have to dust off the Wii U to play Tokyo Mirage Sessions now. I heard it's a cheesy yet fun game. I also would have been more excited if we had gotten a Xenoblade X port as that's the only game I haven't played. I liked Xenoblade, but it's a pretty long game, and I don't really feel like going through it again.

lol, not much hype for the Terry reveal. SNK is not as prominent as it was the 90's, but I've played quite a few fighting games so I'm glad he's in (though I would have preferred Rock Howard). With more characters being announced, anyone has a chance at this point. Geno has been requested for years so maybe he finally gets in, lol.

edit: I completely forgot that Deadly Premonition was announced out of nowhere. The first game was pretty damn weird (almost surreal) with awful gameplay, but a unique story. I'm interested to see what they do with this new title.

I think it was a good direct. Banjo has been extremely enjoyable to play and it's hilarious that Sans Undertale from Undertale the game with Sans Undertale in it is actually in. New remix is a banger too. Otherwise I'm looking forward to Luigi's Mansion 3 and the Xenoblade remake. I'm interested in Trials of Mana too.

Glad there's a Xenoblade Chronicles coming for the Switch, a fully redone one at that. Now that sales premium on original Wii copies of XC won't matter as much. I did not expect Sans at all after seeing meme after meme of him in the run up to Smash Ultimate's release, so that was truly a lovely surprise.

I need to go and see if I have Luigi's Mansion preordered and do so if i haven't yet. That's definitely the one I'm anticipating the most right now besides Link's Awakening that's very good since LM is right around the corner in October!

It's more for my sister than myself but still excited!
