It's 3DS enhanced I'd assume. My initial thought was is Hoenn included in this? But then it's June so that would be kinda rushed so no time really...

Lots of people are speculating Hoenn is going to be involved in this already.
I wouldn't say these are rushed. Soon (very soon, a few weeks at most) after the Japanese release of Black and White, it was stated that the next main series games were already being developed.
I doubt that about Hoenn(even then I'd prefer remakes for the 3DS). Making the sprites look like a different layer than the ground or what not doesn't make me any happier, I personally still dislike this whole troll.
Especially since this is a DS game, it most likely will use BW as a base anyways, so there isn't is as much needed to be done anyways....-.-

So that means that Pokemon Platinum is the last 3rd game in the Pokemon history...

Because instead of people just buying one game, many will buy both. It has the potential for bigger profits and Nintendo is scrounging for money.
For the DS? They'll be lucky if I buy one of them, tbh. Now if they were for the 3DS solely(using it's actual potential rather than just enhanced layers, if it's enhanced at all), both would be a must buy.
RS remakes = shot down (by trolling)
3DS games = shot down

You are not the entire Pokemon community though. Most people don't care if it's for the DS instead. Sure, it would have been nice to have the graphics of the 3DS but it's not a big deal for most.
RS remakes haven't been shot down at all. HG/SS were released after Platinum. It's possible that the R/S remakes (if planned) will be released in late 2013/2014

We don't know the plot or anything, it could be something completely different but most likely set in Unova. The fact that it's in June for Japan gets it out of the way early for remakes possibly early 2013?

Aaaah, I see why now Anville Town is simlair to Nuvema Town, Maybe it's story line is after many years but with a new hero with Anville town as the first Town, maybe we can fight Black like red after the Elite four, there's probably going to be the older Pokemon in Unova in these games, there will be a new Gym leader in the last Gym, maybe also a new champion also maybe new battle themes or remixed!

Which means
there still a chance that they someheow release "Pokemon Grey". Heck, maybe they gonna release Pokemon Grey 2 after a short time period.
Lets just monitor it until it release in June guys.

May I ask when I said I was the whole Pokemon community? I was merely pointing out how I feel about the situation. If I was speaking on the behalf of everyone, I would have said something like 'nobody will buy this game, fuuuu gamefreak'.
I also meant RS remakes have been shot down with this announcement, I know they are probably still coming eventually. I was just hoping to hear about either them or a main series game for the 3DS.
Anville Town will definitely be utilized in Black/White 2. I doubt it'll be a starting town, but it could be used as a gateway to a new area like the Sevii Islands/Battle Frontier (if they move the Battle Subway).
That's incredibly unlikely.

I think people are forgetting out hard it would be to make a 3DS pokemon game. First would the AR feature then the graphics plus models for all 649 pokemon in 3D. They may want to finish the 5th gen main story and have the first 3DS game for the Hoenn remakes. I approve since it would be weird to see the first BW in DS mode then go to 3DS mode

I have noticed a new feature in the live show when there was battling, trainers animation when they throw a pokeball, I'm not sure if I really saw that, but it would be nice if it's true.

can you be more specific> I'm kinda lost here since I don't watch the live announcement.
Stll hoping that there will be side quests, emphasized around the Gym Leaders and other extra character.
