6th Gen No More X and Y News

Awesome overview trailer. It summarizes what we know thus far :)

That new move appears to be physical...it looks like it maybe either a new fairy move or a normal move. I'm guessing that the Marill proably lacks Huge Power of has horrible attack Iv's and Ev's xD

Serebii said its a Fairy type attack and they always use Blank Pokemon for these things so Marill had 0 IV and 0 EVs.

Still considering that it was super effective, that move was really weak, too weak for Huge Power so it feels as if Marill didn't have huge power and its just weak or its a Special Based attack.

If thats the case, its probably around 100 BP at least and physical, because even with Huge Power a Marill has 50 attack at level 50 with no IV or EVs- which is practically nothing.

I'm just overestimating Marill's potential then, if its that weak with Huge Power and no boosts on either side, there's not much going for the Huge Power ability on Marill that would be any sort of a threat. I was just starting to have some hopes for the Fiary type just with Marill and Mawile...but seems I'm just giving too much credit to them -w-;;

I like the trailer; towards the end, it showed more on trainer customization. The new attack animations are beautiful too, especially Lava Plume and Inferno.

And more news released XD Nothing big, but it was a Japanese 3DS shop update which was more a recap, though they do show off a new move...which is either very weak or Special typed unless the Marill had an ability other than Huge Power as it should have OHKO'd Haxorus in the video.

That trailer was going by so nicely until I saw Korrina only having two Pokemon. Her gym is pretty far off in the distance from the starting town, so I'd expect her to have around 4, something to break B/W's dumb pattern. It seems like battles with Gym Leaders just get shorter and shorter... hopefully not easier.

Don't worry. A trained Azumarill could sneeze and have killed that Haxorus. I did some calcs and this is likely a 120 BP move that happened to crit in the trailer. Seems we got more news from this trailer than expected. xD At least we know physical fairies get a good move.

I sure hope that calculation is right. It'll sure help Azumarill and MegaMawile out :3

I couldn't help notice how much damage Oorotto took from Flareon. It may have been because they were level 25 and I think Flareon being level 50. I can't tell by the sound of the hit if it was super, normal, or not very effective.

I would guess if Oorotto was part grass though, it would be a one hit KO. What do you guys think?

Where was it announced that there would be no more X/Y news?

Going a month without news isn't a big deal to me. I think second stage starters and the unveiling of a second Mega Mewtwo is a good place to stop, but I wouldn't mind more news either.
Well we're assuming there'll be no more news...at least not anything major.

I have mixed feeling about playing blind.
When I start playing a game I am super prepared, Its some instict that I have that always bother me unless I know alot about it.
On the other hand, I remember playing my first pokemon game(emerald). I didn't know any detail about the game, the third gen pokemon was new to me and also Hoenn, but it was really fun and exiting to explore new world.

I felt the same way (first game also Emerald) during gen III. Sadly I spoiled Gen IV, and Gen V...couldn't resist spoilers for that long...however with the simultaneous release I'll have to resist for only a short while instead of half a year! So I'm going to avoid the internet during the 11th.

I do wonder how the starters will look in their final evolution...but I want that to be a surprise too.

Gen IV wasn't like Emerald, but because the games were already released I did start the game(Platinum) without spoiling too much.
I was playing the fifth gen game after I knew everything about the games...

Hope this international release thing will be a tradition, like this it will be much more easier to avoid spoilers.

I don't expect much more new considering we're less than a month away from the games's release. They may finally reveal Orotto at the last minute and I hope they at least show use the final evolutions cause that would finalize my decision on whether I'm picking Fennekin or not. If not , then the info we got now is okay, I'm satisfied. (Though I wouldn't mind learning whether or not we have a long overdue Dark type Gym Leader or not, but that will likely be found out when the first people play the game.)

Seemed like Super Effective to me :)
