As for Grass/Poison, clearly Vileplume takes it. Does great for team support, and sweeper (though the latter, Venusaur does it better)

Sorry, but I have always loved the grass and poison-type combination for the Bulbasaur evolutionary chain.
I'm not sure why, perhaps it has to do with the fact that it hasn't been done for any other starter.
(Personally, I would love to see a grass/poison-type starter in generation five.)

I'd have to say that venusaur is the best, he was just so interesting to me.

i honestly don't know what plant they made victreebell after, and its just a giant mouth.

Roserade all the way! Venusaur's great and all, but if bred correctly, Roserade is one Grass/Poison type that is capable of learning a move that it's weak against... Extrasensory! A poison type knowing psychic moves? Now that rocks. Plus Extrasensory is really strong for how many times you can use it.

I can't comment on the ban, but I'd love to know why the thread's going to be locked. All Froslass did was post a poll, which any member is perfectly entitled to do is this board so long as it's Pokémon related.

For me, it's Vileploom all the way. The design of that Pokémon is one of the greatest designs for a Pokémon ever and it beats all of the other Pokémon in this poll.

Venasaur out of them, I love the Kanto starters. I prefer Bellosom to Vileplume, although I have a Vileplume in my Pokémon Fire Red Team, as I picked Charmander.
