Nurse Joy & the Pokémon Center

Yeah, I just scroll through everything she says. I've never thought of it as annoying, just something that has to be done. I suppose it is annoying, really haha. Although, I've always found it odd how she says "I hope to see you again" o.O

It annoys me so much when the nurse say's that she hopes to see you again. Other that that I just press BBBBBB until it's over. Well sometimes I press AAAA by accident and end up healing again.

Also I have this to say! Why do ya'll keep calling her Nurse Joy!? Nurse Joy is strictly a name given to the nurse in the anime. At no point in any of the Pokemon games is the nurse called by name, she should just be called the Nurse. By Pokemon Games I meant the handheld RP games.
 
I agree, it's super annoying. But is HAD increased the strength of my left thumb over the years.

It does get annoying if you rapidly press A by accident after healing because of the long dialogue and end up doing it again.
There should be the machine to heal them yourself like in Colosseum but not only in one place but every PC.
 
well what i think happens is, after you leave a Pokémon Center, the Nurse Joy there is killed and replaced with another one(i mean there are over a billion of them), so there for when you return to heal your Pokémon again it is a new Nurse Joy who has never seen you before and so is just letting you know what the Pokémon Center does incase you don't know.
 
well no because what else would she say "hey you what do you want" thats not polite she would say something anyway she would say should i heal your pokemon and thats it
 
I want to be able to walk into like a room in the pokemon center, get everything healed, and walk out. Like Ghost Tower in RBY
 
What they should do is make her say, "Hello, and welcome to the Pokemon Centre! Do you know what to do? YES - NO."
Wouldn't that just be so much faster? It bothers the heck out of me every single time.
Or should I say, "Center"? Strewth, typing it that way feels weird...
 
I think that at the beginning of every game Nurse Joy asks you if you know what a pokemon center does then after that she never says it again!

It's annoying, I have to say.
In my ROM hack, I'll just make her say "Welcome to our Pokemon Centre! Allow me to heal your Pokemon." -screen fades and music plays- "Thank you for waiting. Your Pokemon are healed. Here you go!".

Much better. 8D

And Aegis's misunderstanding is hilarious. Although it's not the MOM (as I will refer to her) who does that, it's the creepy old rest house lady in RSE. 8D
 
When I see "We hope to see you again" I always feel as if she's saying, "I hope you get hurt so bad you have to get healed again."
 
i dont care about that but i hate the day care ladys long speech before i can get my pokemon
 
Is Nurse Joy rude or polite?

Every time you go into a Pokemon center, after healing you bruised, injured Pokemon, Nurse Joy say, "We hope to see you again." The only time she would see you is if your Pokemon are all battered up from battling and they are in need of healing.

So, does Nurse Joy hope you Pokemon get hurt so she can see you again, or is she simply being polite?

NB: This is meant to be slightly sarcastic, but there is a hint of suspicion..

That could explain why shes so thiny.....
 
It's annoying slightly, but I just mentally turn off at that point anyway and mash 'A'.

Some points to consider though - remember - it's not necessarily the same Nurse Joy. There's a different one in each Pokemon centre, so they all each actually encounter you less often than one might think. Why they all have to say the same thing though... hmm, might be the standard thing to say for Pokemon centres everywhere then (like those fast-food franchieses).

Also - they already introduce the Pokemon Centres to you in games. Like one of your 'rivals' (they one you don't fight) in DP, or the old man in GSC by CherryGrove Town. :/
