Of course. I was under the impression based on the first post in this thread that all posts to claim a pokemon would be in this thread. I don't really see the purpose of posting in the holiday-specific thread, to be honest, especially since that thread doesn't say "post here". But I can if you prefer.

Major events are usually made into their own threads so they can be seen easier and don't get lost in the main thread.
