I think a flame might show up there, and if it ends up being Psychic too, maybe we'll get a different colored flame than previous Fire starters. That'd be pretty cool in my eyes.

I'm imagining a green flame or blue flame. Green is associated with ever lasting flames (Greek fire) while blue flames fit in with the fox theme. None the less both are mystical looking.

I'm glad we finally got our long awaited T-rex fossil Pokémon. I've been waiting for one since Gen IV.

Sorry guys, the chart confuses me. So what is Steel new resistances now? Whats happening with steel?

Steel types no longer resist Dark or Ghost type moves, but it does have a resistance against Fairy types. Fairy type is also weak to Steel (as well as Poison).

I'm expecting Chespin's evolution to be a combination of grass and fighting, since it looks like some sort of a fighter to me. Either that, or due to its bulk, it could turn out to be grass and ground. Fennekin's evolution could be fire/dark. It could be fire and psychic, too, since it's able to learn psychic-type moves according to rumors. I'm not too sure about Froakie's evolution, though. It could be water and rock, but we have a lot of Pokémon with this combination already.

You know at first I wasn't too keen on them changing steel's resistances but now that I look at the chart I realize that Steel would've only received neutral damage from 3 types...besides it being resistant to Dark didn't make all that much sense...

After seeing middle-evos I expect Chespin's last evo to look like Totoro lol.
I don't understand why people say Fennekin's middle evo looks good. Looks so tacky and ugly to me. The skinny arms and black bottom just ruin it for me. Froakie is the only decent one tbh.

Also Mega Mewtwo X is probably the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life..

On a slightly more positive note I love all the new Pokemon. I even love Garchomp's mega-evo bar it being OP as hell already.

Also worth noting Parting Shot, Geomancy, and Oblivion Wing have unknown types (???) whereas Geomancy was released as a fairy type move before and Oblivion Wing a Dark type move. What do you think this means?

Could this be the debut of the rumored dual type moves? I mean I could see how something like Oblivion Wing could easily be both Dark and Flying.

Same here, the typing isn't the best but still it is a Dragon type.

Well I'm glad Meowstick finally came to light, that was one of the rumors I was hoping that would turn out to be true. It's a little different to how I pictured it but nonetheless I think it definitely has my final spot on my team, it looks marvelous!

Could this be the debut of the rumored dual type moves? I mean I could see how something like Oblivion Wing could easily be both Dark and Flying.

Froakie shot up the list for me - I quite like its middle evolution. I am not very partial to Chespin's one (sorta looks like it swallowed a balloon there =p), while Fennekin's evolution is decent. Initially a touch eh about hearing it being a bipedal (another fire starter that is one?), but some more Psychic moves and the appearance of a sort of fox-witch is pretty neat as a concept, imo. And it's something different!

Meanwhile, I really like that T-rex Pokemon. Other fossil one is cool too, but dat T-rex. Helps I loved dinosaurs as a kid too, haha.

Anyways I almost freaked out when I saw Fennekin's design. Good thing that there are no Fighting movesets confirmed only Psychic movesets.

I thought that too when I first saw it...that or Chespin itself swallowed a bunch of helium to become a living balloon {XD}

I hope the T-rex evolves into a fearsome twenty foot T-Rex. It looks small as it is right now.

If they end up all being single-type I am going to be very disappointed. Single-type Pokemon are such a freaking waste, especially on a starter. I need that STAB!

The designs are very weird to me. Chespin's looks really stupid. And judging by his face, I don't think we'll be getting a dark/grass final in the end. Unless this is meant to be a "cocoon" stage like with bugs and pseudos.

Fennekin's looks good, but what is up with that stick coming out of its tail? It just looks creepy.. I really hope the final evolution doesn't have more sticks or something. And I was hoping it would stay a quadruped!!! ... -_- It kind of feels like good fanart that I just don't agree with.

Froakie's....... Looks so ugly. I'm sure I'll warm up to it, but from this artwork it just looks bad and weird.

Crap Froakie's evolution looks the best out of the three! I was gonna pick Chespin but now I don't know for certain :c As for the fossils, I like the Ice type one (I just like Ice types) it's so cute!! Lastly, Mega Mewtwo X looks so badass so good job Game Freak.

According where they're based off from, it's quite possible that Fennekin will be a sorceress-like Fox, Froakie Ninja-like and Chespin some sort of armored knight or rather some sort of buffed up dude that can take a hit.

Considering the rumors that have come true I'm confident of them all being dual type like the sinnoh starters were.

Good fanart can help change an opinion on a Pokemon. =p

That stick? I could see it becoming a staff when it evolves again, which'd be fitting for a witch-like Pokemon. (So I guess it being creepy is also intentional). I agree with the quadruped deal, but oh well - as long as it's still going in a different direction to FIRE-FIGHTING again. I have a feeling it may get a Psychic typing on its final evolution too.

I'll also note that often the last stage can really sway one's opinion of a line. Look no further than last gen's starters. 'Snivy is so cool smugleaf haha', oshawott is dumb'. Then Snivy lost all limbs, Tepig joined the fire department and Oshawott got a very cool 2nd stage and a neat final stage form too.
