Thank god for Mega Mewtwo X. The original mega form looked terrible and inferior to the original Mewtwo, but this new one looks pretty cool. I was going to get X already so this is great. My second favourite pokémon is saved.

Unless there is a major turn around in the final forms, Fennekin is still the starter for me, it has the best evolution.

Chigorasu has a great design, I'm liking that. The other new ones are all pretty meh though.

One month, I'm so excited now.

Don't fret, middle evo's have a tendency to look...bad. Liked Mudkips Middle Stage. *shudder
Marshtomp looks good compared to Pignite and chubby Chespin...not like I ever disliked Marshtomp, it's one of the best middle evolutions imo.

I see Chespin surprising us...it'll proably grow spikes when evolving and look like a giant porcupine...

Also worth noting, Parting Shot, Geomancy, and Oblivion Wing have changed to unknown types (???) whereas Geomancy was released to be a Fairy-type move before and Oblivian Wing a Dark-type move. What do you think this means?

Dual-type moves springs to mind... ;;

Chespin...what happened? It looks like it ate a bunch of acorns and got really fat. Though it looks bulky so

Fennekin's is really elegant. A bit feminine, but I like it. The stick is kind of random, but it could be a wand. I'm liking the witch theory. If it become Fire/Psychic as the supposed leaks state, that makes more sense.

Froakie's evo is cool too. If it's final is better than Fennekin's then I may covert to Team Froakie. So far still going with Fennekin, unless their final evos change my mind. If Chespin's evo ends up being cool, I may have a hard time deciding again.

But what does GF have against quadrupled Final Evos for Fire Starters?? Urgh.

I can see Froakie's being Water/Poison. Sidenote.

The "but" is really redundant there.

Dual-type moves springs to mind... ;;
How would they even... No ;;

That would make it a bit similar to Croagunk/Toxicroak. But then again, pokémon being similar to one another has never stopped GameFreak xD

I don't think this rules out the final Starter Evolutions being dual-typed, bear in mind that this is just the first staged evolutions... I'm still convinced that with all those Psychic type moves Fennekin will hopefully become Fire/Psychic!

Type Chart!!!

And dont worry if Chespin's Final Evo is indeed dark(which is likely the case)is gonna be awesome like every other dark type!Also most middle stage evos are not beautifull like Marshtomp,Combusken,Wartortle

I see the stick as being where it's concentrating it's (as of it's middle form) limited psychic powers, sort of like a focus point. However the placement is odd {XD} Would've liked it to be in hand.

I think Chespin's evolution will look like a cool porcupine and surprise us all of this lack luster middle evolution.

It might still end up being quadrupled, in the same vein as Samurott is.

I'm a little disappointed with the designs. Froakie's looks the best to me, but the other two... I'm not so sure I like. Granted, I'm never really fond of the middle evolutions, so I'll keep judgement until I see the final forms.

Mewtwo's second mega-evo is weird looking to me, but maybe it'll appeal to me eventually. Right now, I prefer the smaller forme. Garchomp doesn't look too bad and seems like a natural progression.

Absolutely love the Psychic Cat Pokemon, awesome designs all the way. Interested in the changing appearance of the dog Pokemon. The Fossils look pretty cool too.

Fairy type is immune to Dragon attacks. Interesting. And Steel no longer resists Dark and Ghost attacks. Steel is so annoying that's a relief :B except for heavy Steel users perhaps? I shouldn't be talking, I'm not competitively knowledgeable haha.

I find it much more appealing that its prop is in its tail rather than its hand. Pokemon with props in general tend to annoy me, but this is done in a manner that seems reasonable. I like that.

To add on to the starters, I did notice that the second forms tend to be the least factoring in terms of appearance. I mean, Servine went from having legs and arms to being a full-blown snake. I can imagine Chespin's second evolution to either break out of its "shell", or retain it and become even more bulkier. All I'm thinking of is pushing that thing and watching it struggle to get back up.

I hope that dual-typed moves won't exist. Either that or just give it to a few moves... I can see it complicating the game even more.

Lastly, Dark/Ghost now has a weakness: Fairy. Eelektross is now the only Pokemon with no weaknesses. (that is, without anything affecting its Levitate ability)

Also, Team Froakie has won.

The new type chart certainly works in favor of Poison and Steel types, they've been long overdue for an extra type advantage.

I'm the same. I thought I was the only one. I also hate how in the anime how some pokemon got props, like septiles staw thing and Krokorok sunglasses. Man that annoyed the me so much.

It does work. I would've liked it even better if it had a small mysterious flame on top of it. Maybe in it's evolution ;).
And yeah Fennikin's line could go back on all fours for all we know like Samurrot did.

I think a flame might show up there, and if it ends up being Psychic too, maybe we'll get a different colored flame than previous Fire starters. That'd be pretty cool in my eyes.

I have to say, that Psychic-type cat Pokemon looks very interesting. Having gender differences in not only appearance, but learned moves as well. Definitely a first from Game Freak there, but I guess this might confirm the "Espurr and Meowstick" rumor from Pokebeach as true.

And I like how that dog thing can change appearance based on the salon thing, very interesting concept indeed.

The fossil Pokemon look awesome too, especially the fact they used previously unused type combinations for them. Rock/Dragon looks pretty awesome, it might be pretty good competitively. Although Rock/Ice isn't all that great due to 4x Fighting and Steel weaknesses (yes we finally have a Pokemon 4x to Steel) but still the designs are great.

Sorry guys, the chart confuses me. So what is Steel new resistances now? Whats happening with steel?
