Odd mental links?

    Are there odd smells or sounds you can't help randomly connecting to past experiences or just weird stuff? The smell of gasoline reminds me of when I was way little and went down to the train tracks with my dad. It also makes me remember playing my good old Gold version at my Grandma's house, among other things. Why does the smell of gas remind me of my fondest childhood memories? XD
     
    The smell of gasoline reminds me of kindergarten.
    The sound of toilets flushing reminds me of first grade.
    The color orange remind me of second grade.
    The smell of 409 reminds me of third grade.
    Loud moaning sounds remind me of fourth grade. *Do NOT ask why*
    The smell of lemon squares reminds me of fifth grade.
    The smell of this Asian guy who always spilt anchovies on himself reminds me of sixth grade.
    The sound of someone unzipping their pants reminds me of seventh grade. *Do NOT ask why*
    The smell of ravioli reminds me of eighth grade.
    And I have nothing to remember my freshman year with. How sad. 8( I'll think of something this summer.
     
    The smell of vinegar reminds me of my failed experiment. Smell of rotting corpses reminds me of the past wars. The smell of dirt and rain reminds me of my childish days.
     
    I can connect every videogame I have played with a song, not from the soundtrack, but from another completely different disc. And a lot of past events with random jokes from a magazine I used to read weekly XD
     
    There's this smell and it reminds me of my nan. I think it was like a past perfume.
    There's this smell that reminds me of my friend Dom. He has a saxophone and he had this stuff he used to clean it with. I can smell it sometimes and then I think of him and his annoying saxophone. He claimed every second he could with playing that damn thing.
     
    Off the top of my head, I can't think of any, but I know I have a tendency to associate colors, smells, and songs with people, often for no real reason at all. Then there are the people that most everything reminds me of ♥

    Smells will often take me back to other times and places, and there was sort of one recent occurrence of this, but I can't remember what the smell was or the memory it brought back.
     
    I've been meaning to make a thread about this for a while now. :o

    I seem to be reminded of things ny the music I was playing at the time, although so far it only seems to be with games I played for an extended period of time. xD;;

    The band Jimmy Eat World remind me of World of Warcraft.
    Listening to System of A Down reminds me of Runescape.

    That's all I can remember right now, I usually forget about them until I actually hear them. :/

    birds falling out of the sky, large stones, glaciers, Guitar Hero 2, Spy Kids, The monks from Monty Python's Holy Grail, A punk dude on drums in the middle of a large orchestra, Brawl, The epic fight from the movie, Earthbound, Star Fox, the Phantom of the Opera, Spy Kids again, I want to say John Lennon, biker dudes, when the kid from Shaman King uses Celestial Blade, 100mph fights... on foot., Dante's Inferno, Sonic Heroes, Bronzong's cry, Toon Link, Brawl again, the Apocalypse, and finally... Sephiroth!
    Some make sense, some don't.
     
    The color red and pink together reminds me of love.
    The smell of cooked meat reminds me of hunger.
    The sound of a guitar stringer reminds me of music.
    Also, the sound of snoring reminds me of my dad

    Also, why is it that you need to announce those kinds of things in your custom user title? I mean seriously lol...
     
    The smell of gasoline gives me headaches.

    Well, almost everything gives me headaches. I'm like a real life Psyduck.

    I usually end up connecting video game music to my favorite boss fight from the game. Other than that, I can't think of anything off the top of my head. My mind has weird ways of linking things to other things, and most methods are really out there and hard to explain.

    Mine is pretty much the same as Went. The most noticable one is relating Linkin Park - Figure 09 with Ratchet and Clank.

    The smell of Vera Wang Princess reminds me of last summer.
    The smell of this pink lotion from Bath & Body reminds me of my summer homework for English two years ago. (I finished it all in one night with the help of my best friend, and we used the lotion to keep us awake.)

    That's all I can think of at the moment. xD
     
    Like what I said with the Vocaloid music and Soul Eater manga, I even have music that I link with PC. I just can't remember what it is right now.
