    did you ever have the same misconception before you donated?
     
    actually we still do come check with or ask the VIPs first for many things.. just seems we haven't in a while.. :\

    I donated to help the community out, the perks came second. I am not really bothered, but I have asked a few times why we don't get more interesting perks or responsibilities and such.

    I might feel this way, but I know a lot of supporters want the perks.​

    Well when I donated this, being able to choose new things was one of the main reasons. I don't really think that there aren't enough threads asking opinions on things, but what I dont like is how no one ever seems to reply.

    On another note, the thread that asks suppoters what new perks they'd like has disappeared...
     
    I donated for the name color. Which was changed. Grr.

    So yeah, I guess it doesn't matter too much. A large majority of the donators don't seem to be active anymore, anyways.
     
    I donated because I felt like it. And because I wanted the little icon thing below my name.
    However, had I donated when it was purple, I'd be disappointed it had changed. That thing looked awesome.
     
    I donated to donate. Also to get a blog. Which I now can't think of anything to say in there.
     
    I also donated because I wanted to help the community. That's pretty much that. The perks are nice but they honestly don't make too much of a difference.
     
    I did donate the first time for the good of PC and the larger avatar ^__^ Not expecting too much from this section, since I speculated it'd also be a bit of a chit-chat area.

    Still fun to think how non-supporters think this forum is 'SRZBSNZ' XD
     
    Uuuughh. I totally fell for the whole VIP forum purpose. It was one of my deciding factors of sending in a donation, actually... then when I finally got here, I was wondering what the hell I was missing. The VIP forum was so inactive back then.

    It was purple?! That would've have been so more awesome :P

    I donated because I freaking love this place, plus £25 isn't a huge amount but it goes a long way towards server costs. I'm pretty sure that I would've done it if there weren't any perks, but the bigger avatar, PM box, user profile, blog, user name, badge and e-mail address aren't too shabby. ^^

    If I'm honest I've experienced the whole VIP forum thing before on another forum (didn't pay that time but I did some graphics work for the admin and he gave me supporter status as thank you). VIP forums are notorious dead zones - it's only natural. Actually this one is super-active compared with most. :P

    But I'm so glad it's here, because there's one forum where we can enjoy a slower, more relaxed posting speed with some icy cool peeps. ^^ Plus you get that same sort of smug feeling like when you're inside a warm house and there's a storm outside, know what I mean? No-one else can see or hear us which is quite nice in some ways.

    Apparently so...in the thread that tells you about supporter status (not the one where you can see payment methods), there is an image of the supporter tag in Rukario's post, and, well, it's purple.

    This. Totally agree. I feel the same way about the Style Studio, even though I very rarely visit it :)
     
    Purple would be awesome.

    Actually, I didn't come into this section after I donated with any expectations on what the content would be. I figured that it would be a place for supporters to "hang out" but I wasn't expecting too much as far as actual decision-making.

    I want Supporters to wear pink for once!
    But seriously, I think it might not hurt to toss some good ideas from CQ&F into here, after they've been through the HQ grinder and the implementation of the idea has been decided on by staff. Perhaps even it might be nice to toss un-refined ideas into here and let the supporters weigh in on how ideas are implementable.
     
    I donated because I felt that the community deserves it. To be honest I wasn't expecting to get all these perks (own blog, colored name, etc). But still, it's a good feeling that I've made a great commitment.
     
    Ya know.. this area is ANYTHING you supporters make it. It here for YOU to do with what you will. Its wholly up to you to make it as good (or as bad and boring) as you want it.

    So just do something.. post a new thread with your idea. Come up with something cool for the main forum. etc.
     
    mmhm. It's you guy's forum, so if you want things to be brought up and discussed here, then you have to be the ones to start that. Admins aren't going pitch ideas and tell you to vote, it's up to you guys, and we'd like to see what you come up with, really.~

    If you guys have ideas to bring up, that you don't want the entire member base being in on, then bring it up in here, and staff members will see it. Though, past a point, if it's good enough it might move to the HQ.

    I think we're all too lazy to make this forum active.

    There was June 16th 2010, when this forum became awesome and I got in trouble. omg that was so fun
     
    After some quite bad foruming experiences, finding this place was heaven. The community is honestly nice, and there doesn't seem to be any secret negativity going on. After less than two months, I already feel at home, which is why I donated. The VIP forum access is a nice bonus.
