    So, what are you doing for the fourth of july? :O What have you already done so far? Do you just treat it as any other day? What about those who don't celebrate this day? Do you guys ever do anything on your own to celebrate america anyway?

    We are just going to go see the fireworks tonight. Me and my mom are going out on her four wheeler to see them up on this huge hill. We did last year, but we were a bit unprepared. This year, we are going to bring snacks to eat and stuff like that.

    I'm also wearing a shirt with the american flag that says 2014 underneath. :D I have on red, white and blue beads too~
     
    I'm not doing anything. I don't celebrate the 4th of July. I don't have any patriotism. Whoops!

    I don't either, really. I just like the fireworks and making it look like I care. XD
     
    Usually my family goes see the fireworks downtown (though this year it's at the park instead), but this year we don't have time to go cause my dad works early tomorrow so we're just going to stay at home , barbecue burgers, corn on the cobs and eat potato chips and watch the fireworks on tv. Tomorrow I'm personally going out to see Capital Cities, The Neighbourhood and The Fray all for free (as a part of the free concerts we have this time of year) and then go to the fireworks display afterwords! It's gonna be my first concert experience so I'm very pumped!!
     
    Pretty much the same thing I do every year haha. Gonna go watch the local fireworks show after we have a barbeque. I always enjoy this holiday because its so simple and fun!
     
    Nothing. I went to a flea market today, tried to go to a furniture store but it was closed, tried to go to the bank but it was closed, bought some wine and shampoo, and headed home. I mean, wine is red, I'm white, and I'm in a blue dress, so...patriotism?
     
    Unfortunately I have a tournament, so all I've done today is travel haha, but I did get to visit the Rice campus, which was really cool. Now going back to the hotel, and will spend most of the weekend playing tennis. However, I'm sure I'll be able to hear the fireworks from my room here! n__n
     
    Hurricane weather where I am so all fourth of July stuff was pushed forward to the 3rd. I was going to see fireworks last night, but ended up doing other stuff with friends instead. Since it poured all day I decided to stay in and relax. My dad has been wanting to try sushi so I ordered some from this restaurant I really like and helped him pick ones out that I thought he would like. Besides that I caught up on Hell's Kitchen, read a bunch of creepypastas (the weather was fitting), and played with my dog lol.
     
    I made a new T-shirt.
    That's about it. X)

    What better way to celebrate Independence Day then with capitalism, amirite? Guys?

    I did nothing but watch a youtube series called "Animated Atrocities", played some Mario Kart, and ate chicken strips and tortilla chips for dinner today. Oh, and I was wearing a Captain America T-Shirt to celebrate the holiday.
     
    Yesterday was more festive for me, lol. My friend and I went to Chattanooga to an amusement park and I threw up on a ride, so there's that. Then we went and saw fireworks somewhere. They were far away, but not so far that the noise wasn't a bother. So I stood there covering my ears for the most part. :( At least I knew it was coming and it wasn't a surprise, like how most football games are.

    For the actual 4th, my friend and I tanned by my pool, had Burger King, watched vids, then she left to see fireworks at the lake and I have been playing A Link Between Worlds for a couple of hours...maybe more. Ha.
     
    I went to my aunt's house and had a barbeque with my extended family. That's pretty much what I do every year. We normally watch fireworks in the evening, but we didn't do that this year because the weather was lousy.
     
    I think the fourth of July is supposed to be our country's friendship day with the Americans, but no one really celebrates it here, haha. That being said, I didn't do much in the 4th of July - it was another stressful school day for me.
     
    Went to a nice cookout and had fun with the neighbor kids which made me feel really old. It was really nice of the family to invite me; this is my first summer outside of Virginia. Then the local fireworks, of course!

    Unlike a lot of people here, I consider myself pretty patriotic. I hate politicians of every sort, but to me the country means a lot more than the government. So yesterday I reflected on how America was the first real country of immigrants, and on how our constitution explicitly forbids the government to restrict freedom of speech or the free practice of religion. Even though our political parties seem determined to ignore this, I think the American people still believe in these freedoms, and that seems worth celebrating.

    So, here's to America and here's to the pursuit of the truly free society.

    EDIT: Only problem with the 4th of July is that I'm in the deepish South and a few people are still setting off fireworks at 10:56p CST on July 5th. Come on, Tennesseans!

    I didn't do jack.

    To be fair, I drank waaaay too much the night before, so I spent the afternoon nursing a hangover. Due to that, I didn't care that I didn't do anything.

    Usually roommate goes to his family 4th of July function, and I tag along. He didn't want to go this year, though. A friend said she might have had no plans but she ended up never getting back to me. Wasn't a huge deal. *shrugs*
