This is the point of the year where everyone goes back to school and puts in two weeks of "I'm going to do this seriously"

wait for the procrastination to bring you all back in

Yep, I just know that's what will happen. But I have a feeling this semester will focus more on writing for me than it will studying, since I have an English major and some literature classes. I do want to attempt to be more active outside in the coming time, too (I liked walking around campus almost every day).

Are you that one member who goes to the same school I went to for like two weeks?

Oh, you said school?

I thought you meant Gym. Woops.

I always hated those "This semester is going to be great" feelings. Then you spend a few moments in class, excitement rushing over you, before the teacher hands you the syllabus.

50 quizzes
10 tests
2 research papers
3 group projects

Those are the moments where you die inside a little.

Fun Fact: One of my former roommates (being very anti-Obama) had a very strong belief that Obama isn't going to fare well in the next election, and that "there's no way he'll win this time around". She was also strangely enthusiastic and supportive of the characters' endeavors in the Wolf On Wall Street (take three seconds to imagine why). She's really not helping the dumb Californian blonde stereotype, is she?

Oh by the way she holds a Bachelor's degree and is a professional therapist for social services, and to this day I doubt whether she was being serious when she said that Antarctica had nice beaches.

For me, I don't believe "a little" would be the best way to explain, haha.

I rolled a 17, what are my modifiers?
I'm really glad that sounds foreign to me. Precomputerian (it's a word okay) nerds are not cool compared to geeks and techies. All I see is a bunch of guys with jewfros and pocket protectors eating their boogers and looking at you wide-eyed and grinning.

It's not hard at all to get them to find you attractive, really. Just maintain a bare level of hygiene and try not to hold too much weight and it's easy.

Pretty soon they'll be asking you, "My, you look lovely. Have you recently decreased in mass?" at which point you tell them to kindly return to getting off to pixel gradients and those horrible videogames you see in ads on programs like Skype and uTorrent where the only thing of interest is some busty 3D spline compilation asking you to "save her kingdom".

People who are glad not to know things, especially because it's "cool" not to know said thing, confuse me.

I'm not so much enticed by the coolness in ignorance of it as I am the uncoolness of knowing about it.

Come on, you know there's some lonely nerd out there that's still painting wooden figures like this is 1986

I honestly do not have a response to that...

I tried, I did.

I still need to know my modifiers. Is this Pathfinder or D&D? I mean, you said perception, but some people use that interchangeably with spot.

I really feel like responding how Frito Vendejo did when Not Sure said they had a mistrial, but that would be rude. Plus it sounds kind of idiotic, however it was the only halfway-clever response I could think of. Sorry :/

If only everyone would've seen that movie then you would all get it. )::::

And this, kids, is what we call splitting hairs. Any derisive comments in relation to coolness are so misguided.

"I might be uncool because I visit a Pokemon forum every day, but at least I'm not those figure-painting nerds hehhehhehe"

The hipster sounds will render Willpower for anyone in the area of effect to be zero. Inflicts every status ailment you can think of. And then the ones you haven't heard of, too.

This is the only post I've read since I logged on and I think it's the only post I need to read.

it does wonderful things for my Ego modifier to know that.

remarkably I have only actually witnessed one game of D&D and I haven't actually played it.

I'm a disgrace to basement dwelling internet folk everywhere. :(
