This week we have two features exclusive to Unova! The successors to the Pokemon Contest duke it out to see which one people love the most! The fanciful fun of the Pokemon Musical vs the starlit production values of PokeStar Studios!!!

PokeStar Studios, definitely. I found musicals to be awkward and not particularly enjoyable. The movies were fun to make and watch the first time around, though...some truly cringeworthy adaptations going on there. xD

Necrum where is that line from

PokeStar Studios, hands down. I found it way more enjoyable than Musicals or Contests.
Well technically it's in a lot of stuff. It's just a way of telling the performer to do better haha!

Also I see 2 votes for Musicals so where are the defenders? All I see are people posting Studios stuff. .-.

If I'm being honest, I had no interest in either of them. :x But props to the musical for not being entirely forced. Sure, you're forced into the the musical hall and you have to dress up a Pokemon, but it's pretty short. The forced PokeStar thing is always my least favorite part of BW2 when I replay them. I always dread it, but hey, at least it's close to the beginning so I can get it over with. lol

I never really did get into either of them though, so honestly, I can't comment past the parts you're forced to do. But my vote is going to neither of them. :(

I despised both to be honest, I prefer the contests (though there was room for improvement). If I had to pick, I would go with pokestudios, only because the musicals had no value to them (pick the right clothes and win).

I hope the next generation can really capture the same excitement of the anime contests or bring something new to the alternative/creative competition format.

Pokéstar Studios for me. I hardly even did anything with the musicals, and the Pokéstar films have some interesting ways you can go about them. One of these days i'll go back and get strange endings on all the films...

I'm part of the minority on this one, because I found some Pokestar Studios movies too hard. I was completely stuck on the one which pitted your Woobat against the enemy's Swoobat and I was never able to meet the requisite.

Musicals on the other hand, are much more fun because I love dressing my Pokemon up in cute accessories and also show them off for bonus points. If I were to ever replay one of these minigames over and over, I'd pick Musicals over Pokestar Studios any day.

But as I expected the Studios would have more fans.

I've managed to excel in both, unlocking all the strange endings at the studios as well as winning all the accessories in the musical. I'm not a Pokemon coordinator for nothing. P:

However, I must say that I like the PokeStar Studios more than the musical, despite wasting a lot of time at the musical back at BW. PokeStar Studios provides us with fun scenarios to play with, and gives you quite a lot of stuff if you succeed in entrancing the audience (huge income ftw).

Whereas the musicals... okay, I'll just have to argue that how you use the props also contribute towards the success of the musical. But really, it's all just dressing up your Pokemon and then make them perform using the props we give following the music. It's more of a rhythm game tbh.

I wasn't too fond of musicals, sadly. It was all right, and I do appreciate them for their effort into implementing such a feature, but I feel they would have been better off had they spent all these time, effort, and overall energy onto something else. This does attract a group of players, but we're playing Black and White mainly because of its story-line and whatnot, and believe they would have been better off had they invested into features that would affect their plot as a whole, if you know what I mean!

As for movie-making, I've enjoyed this one a little more, but same could apply here as musicals; would have been better if they had put all these work into something more big and story-affecting.

As much fun as musicals were, they weren't very good. In Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, you needed coordination and you had to fit a theme and give it your best shot. In Black/White, you just dress 'em up with samey accessories, chuck 'em on stage, win, MAYBE, then go and snatch the prizes. :C

The studio was really fun, though! :D You had to pay lots of attention and even though you couldn't dress up, the overall enjoyment was so vast that it didn't really matter.

PokeStarStudios for sure. I found it way more enjoying than the Musicals. Both still did have certain events to be downloaded, but i found that the Movies that were already in the game were enjoying and fun. It could have been much more polished, with a few more options in the scenarios and such. Never the less, my vote goes to PokeStar studios.
