    Do you think they will include any riding Pokemon in ORAS? In XY there were a couple routes that had terrain so treacherous you had to rent a Pokemon to traverse them; a Rhyhorn and a Mamoswine. Do you think they will include any routes like that in Hoenn? If so which Pokemon do you think they will pick to be your steeds?
     
    Me and my friend have been saying how awesome it would be to have more than Lapras to ride when using surf, maybe they will finally have more options such as Wailord. Also I feel Mightyena, Absol and especially Tropius would be AWESOME to ride around, in X and Y at Route 12 you could ride Skiddo around a short space, if they expanded this to the entire region for a select few pokemon then that would be awesome!
     
    Please! I would love to ride my swampert around! I thought riding pokemon was really cool. I never used my lapras, however.
     
    I can just see how getting on Wailord near the shore would be really weird...

    Then again, riding on Pokémon is a nice feature Game Freak cooked up, so I don't see why they'll leave it out now, even for a remake. HGSS had 'follow me', so why not 'ride me'?

    I'd love the game even more if Game Freak were to make custom sprites for each Pokémon that can be taught Surf. So when we're Surfing on a Floatzel, for example, the character would actually be riding on top of a Floatzel sprite instead of a generic Wailmer lookalike thing. I'm certainly not expecting that; it would take a very long time to do so. But who knows?
     
    I'd love to see riding Pokemon return, especially in places like Mt. Chimney and Jagged Pass. I can also see them doing something for surfing where if you use a specific Pokemon (like Lapras in XY) it'll show you riding that Pokemon instead of the generic model. It'd be funny if Wailord were that Pokemon, though I doubt it XD You'd squish the Swimmers, pft.
     
    I honestly didn't like the idea of following Pokemon, but I loved the fact where you can ride on them in certain areas.

    Certainly would love to see riding camerupt near Mt. Chimney, or Rhyhorn at the Jagged Pass/Desert.

    In HGSS, they made custom sprites for almost every Pokémon (even shiny) that follows you around, and the fact that X&Y 3D models are going to be probably left untouched, it gives free time for Game Freak to create custom 3D models for Surfable Pokémon. Perhaps they would even remove Surf for Pokémon like Wingull.
     
    As much as it would be cool, I think that if we get any riding sprites at all, it'll be of Pokemon you can surf on, maybe. It was really a gimmick that they used for advertisement in XY, because it really didn't contribute anything.

    I kinda hope they dont remove Surf for those special Pokemon, like they could show flying low with streams of water passing through, that would be cool. The only problem would be how to show the models when they dont move, you can't have the models hovering in the air, right?
     
    Honestly I just like the idea of free-roam riding. Like, choose a ridable Pokémon in your party and ride it around instead of biking or walking. And I would like if they implemented more ridable-'mon obstacles or areas you could only get to on one of them. idk maybe ridable mon could Rock Smash or Strength without knowing the move. something to that effect. I'd just like to be able to ride anywhere. :x

    No, that's not why I said they'll remove Surf for Pokémon like Wingull. I mean, how would you Surf on a Wingull? Won't it cringe on the carry weight?

    ... and a Charizard that can't (Gen I). I know, but it would look so weird in 3D, though. Besides, in Gen VI small Pokémon like Piplup can't Surf.

    Fair point, but still, it would look so cool and weird at the same time :P I wonder if they would add some animations to them while surfing.
     
    Camerupt up Mt. Chimney would indeed be cool, maybe a Pokemon through the desert, like Sandslash (actually, that would hurt!) or maybe a Rhydon or something. I can't actually think of painless desert-dwellers that you could ride... Cacnea? Absolutely not. ~_~
     
    You know, I remember in RS there are Wailmer which block the way to Mossdeep from Lilycove before you trash the Aqua/Magma base.

    Really hope they'll show real wailmer now instead of just dark circles.
     
    I'm quite hopeful the mounting Pokemon feature will be expanded upon in OR/AS from X/Y. The latter hardly did anything good with it and you weren't even able to mount your own Pokemon (excluding surf) so I'd like that to change in these newer games if the feature's implemented to begin with. So much potential from having to mount specific 'mons to get items to entering races and whatnot.

    I'll keep hoping. :(!
