If you're reading this, then you're testing your patience. How long can you read boring science before you get…. Bored. That's really all this section is, science behind True Teleportation and how it works and why I even bothered putting limiters on teleportation. So if you are ready to have your mind blown, let's get started.
And before we get started, lets just say that Warp is not the same as teleportation, I'll explain why in a moment. Also lets just assume that the character's cloths can be teleported along with him, it would be kind of weird if he just teleported and ended up naked. While the RP is 'M' rated, I don't think I could get away with that for-ever, no matter how funny it is.
Ok, now lets look at Teleportation. If you've never watched Scy-fy or Anime, then you might not have a clue what it is, but honestly, this is a pokemon site, so of course you know. But just in case you don't… Teleportation is the power in which someone or something moves from one point of the universe to another point without walking or running, or moving. So Think Star Trek's beaming technology.
Now lets look at True Teleportation. True Teleportation is the act of being in one spot in the universe and then in another spot, instantly. No Time lapse, no gaps of waiting and no split second. This means that someone can be from here to there very quickly. But what are good examples?
In the marvel universe, Teleportation is seen by Night Crawler. He does appear to be moving instantly, but the movie slows down and shows him disappearing and then reappearing a near nano-second later. This means his powers have a time lapse. Not only that, but in the comic, he doesn't really teleport, just shifts from one dimension to another. He goes from our world to a time distorted world, walks a few meters and then reappears in our dimension. This means, while time is broken in another universe, he appears like he is doing everything instantly, when in fact he is not, so Night Crawler cannot use True Teleportation.
The closest character in any series to use True Teleportation, that I've seen anyway, is Goku's Instant Transmission. "But wait Milo, Goku must prepare his technique! That's not True Teleportation."
And I agree almost 100%, if his preparation was part of the technique, but its not. Goku prepares cause he hasn't mastered it yet. In fact he even does master the technique, creating moves with it. But it's the execution that is instant, not the time it takes to prepare. Goku is literally in one spot, and then in another. And while Instant Transmission may sound more science like, most people who haven't seen the anime would be tilting their heads. When they hear 'transmission', they think 'like…. Radio?' So True Teleportation would leave little doubt as to what' being discussed.
Ok, so we have an example to relate to. Problem is, is tat Dragon Ball doesn't really expand on the concept. In fact Goku can only seem to do it once in a while, and after a few seconds, which defies the concept of True Teleportation since there should be no effort into it. Or one would expect. But I'm here to elaborate what Dragon Ball couldn't.
Ok so I mentioned that True Teleportation has no time lapse, right? Well, If I was to teleport from one spot to 5 feet away. For a brief moment, you will be seeing double. The average brain responds at 13 milliseconds. And since True Teleportation is instant and has no time lapse, you would be seeing double for a split second, until you realize I was not where I originally was.
In fact, lets go deeper. Since True Teleportation has no time lapse, the journey would be instant before time could continue. Some say this is impossible and that you must travel to your destination. Well, travel is not teleportation. Remember I mentioned that warp is not True Teleportation, well that's because it requires travel, even if warping distorts time and bends the universal physics, whatever is warping is still traveling.
So, since there is no time between one teleportation spot to another. For a brief moment, in that time, there would exist two of me, at the same time. It may be for a small time, but its there, as if I created another me and then vanish. Think about that. And with true teleportation having no time lapse, I could do this, over and over again, while time has yet to move. So I could be everywhere, at the same time.
Ok that's going a bit too deep into the subject, so let's move on to other aspects. I get it, time being stopped is crazy. But now let me throw you another crazy wako theory. This is a theory that would make True Teleportation, over powered.
I've already given my theory about time, right. Well, how long does it take for the human brain to register? 13 milliseconds on average. But what if the teleporter could register faster. Think about this. Well in order for him to register, he must stop and observe, right? But for how long? Well, there are measurements of time beyond Nano seconds. Let me introduce you to Planck Time. Planck Time is an actual time measurement. Some prefer to call it a Planck second. This is the fastest and smallest unit of time measured.
But how fast is it? Well, Planck seconds are usually relative to Planck meters. The Planck length ℓP is defined as, where C is the speed of light in a vacuum, G is the gravitational constant, and ħ is the reduced Planck constant. The two digits enclosed by parentheses are the estimated standard error associated with the reported numerical value. The Planck length is about 10−20 times the diameter of a proton.
Or to put it very simple: Light travels 1 Planck length per Planck second…. Kind of. So where am I going with this. Well, in order to comprehend something, the teleporter must pause, remember? And the shortest time he could pause for {As we know it} is 1 Planck time {or second} This means he'd be registering things at the speed of light, and traveling faster.
I bet now you're saying, "Holy…" Yeah. Well Dragon Ball did not mention this, did they? There are so many math dynamics involved that I'm really holding back. Technically 1 Planck length does not equal 1 Planck time. Or… the other way around….
But ho, I'm not done yet. There is one aspect of True Teleportation I have not covered. The reason it would be True as opposed to semi true. Time lapse has nothing on this one. Ready?
Well first, we know that teleportation would allow someone to be anywhere in the world. True Teleportation would allow someone to be anywhere in the universe. But even then it's not true. To help explain what True Teleportation is, I had to go deep, very deep. Well not really. Dragon Ball Z: Xenoverse, had changed a lot of game-play and introduced an awesome new theory to True Teleportation.
At the end, the character uses Instant Transmission to go to another dimension. And we know this is possible because of Night Crawler. So are you following? True Teleportation is not limited to a single universe. Let me put it into prospective just in case you still don't get it.
I would have the ability, not just to be somewhere in our world, but in a different dimension, where it mimics our world to the T with a few differences. This is known as the multi-verse theory. Not only could I travel anywhere in our universe, but I could travel anywhere in any universe. This is True Teleportation, to be able to shift from one plane of existence to another, before time even has a moment to go. Even in time distorted dimensions, I could be somewhere else, just as fast. Wrap your mind around this one. Remember how I said there would be many of me if I continued to teleport? Well, I could literally create many of me, throughout the multiverses. And in some places, my previous form may not even disappear.
Ok, so I know what the GM is thinking. "You are not using that in this RP." Well, hear me out. I know that everything I've said is over powered, but trust me I've put so many limiters on teleportation that its no longer true. Here's a small list of things he cannot do.
At low levels, he cannot control where he goes. Now Obviously that would mean that he may end up in another universe. Well, You see I also have it to where he cant do that…. Ever, not even at level 7. And as far as going to the other side of the galaxy, well, I limited the range to 100 feet at low level, and about 2 miles at level 7.
I also made it to where he wont get stuck in walls or the ground or appear in the air for some reason. Why? Well, because he'd be dead. I limited his uses from1 at low level to 10 at level 7. So my character is not as over powered.
Also he doesn't really register things at Planck time. It still takes him a near 13 milliseconds to register what's happening.
I will keep the 'instant' part, where it will appear like there is two of him simply because of the instant teleportation. But as it stands I'm not really big on making this power the best power. I've got other plans.
