6th Gen "ORAS changes the way you Catch 'Em All"

That sounds so exciting! I'm not sure I fully understand it from the way they wrote about it (though I'm sure I'll quickly understand when playing first-hand) but it seems like it'll be a great feature.

Will this feature also allow us to see the nature of a wild Pokemon beforehand?

It remind me of the habitat dex, in the Gen 5. I loved this feature!

I love this feature oh so freakin' much. Not only do we get to see any Pokemon with their DW/Hidden Abilities, but we can potentially get ones that know egg moves (forgot where I first read this, sorry)

Hm, so I wonder if it's like the Pokeradar, where 10 consecutive encounters made one of their IVs 31, and continued like that the higher you got.

This will kind of ruin the surprise when playing a Nuzlocke though... :(

Uou can choose wether to put one in the wild or not. Sucks, because I'm doing an Alpha sapphire nuzlocke.
The solution to this is to have an additional rule where you can't use Pokemon that pop up on the overworld. That said, it's still a surprise on if you'll see a Pokemon pop up or not, and then there's the matter of reaching it without triggering a wild encounter first (until you get a Repel, anyway).

I really like the general idea. It's another way of fleshing out the world, and rewards you for repeating it in getting Pokemon with rare moves or hidden abilities. I'm all for that sort of thing, and it certainly seems less clunky than XY's version: 'one of the Pokemon in this horde may have a special ability, but seeing you can only choose one... good luck!'.

Considering they're using Megas for balancing, it makes sense to give Pidgeot one, since it was the most underused of the birds. What doesn't make sense is some of their choices, like giving Gallade a useless ability such as Inner Focus.

I wonder if by "stronger Pokémon" they meant better IVs or just levels.
