Many of us are finished with these games (well, not entirely, but just with the main storyline)—what are your final thoughts? What did you like most about X and Y, and what did you not like? If you disliked something, what changes would you make to make them better? How would it all work? Also, if you're not done with these games yet and are still playing them, how are you enjoying them so far?

I immensely enjoyed these games. For me, new Pokemon and updated graphics were enough to make it a great leap into the 3DS era. The lack of post-game and overall number of new Pokemon is a bit discouraging, but I've been quite busy getting into competitive aspects of the game, so I've actually enjoyed and spent quite a lot of time playing 6th gen.

Great! It was awesome! I do wish there was more after game stuff and character customization in the beginning. I didn't like getting your starter from your friends. It didn't feel special. Inverse battles are horrid. I love mega evolutions. I would rank the game a 8.5 out of 10. I've just gotten into breeding, so that has been keeping me busy. I am yet to get every mega stone, get every legendary, or do the looker missions. I also like wifi battles and training for them. I still want to explore more of the region like going deeper into the caves. I hope for a sequel!

Love the story line, I finished already two games and already 1/3rd the way of another one. I enjoyed it.

My only wish: Just wished it would have been much longer.

Love the graphics, vast selection of Pokemon to choose from, even 7 language available to choose from. Still Pokemon Amie was the number one feature I couldn't stay away from, it kept me entertained for hours (and made it special to bond with our Pokemon).

I've finally got bored with X/Y after clocking 300 hours of gameplay. I can't wait for Bank to be released so I can clock good hundred hours more with Battle Maison.

Great! I love these games. They really outdid themselves this time. I'd say my favorite feature is super training. It's nice having a greater degree of control over your Pokemon's EV's. It takes me about 20 minutes to max out my Pokemon's EV's, as opposed to several hours like it used to be.

I also liked the story. Or lack thereof, I should say. One of the things I didn't like about Gen V is that it was so plot driven and the plot was fairly complex for a Pokemon game. It was neat, but overall the plot seemed to get in the way of the gameplay rather than enhance it. I'm glad they took a step back from that in X and Y.

so much better the BW2, that fact alone made me enjoy it more

I post this here only because i wasnt sure of anywhere else to post it. Has anyone seen the Models for Cyndaquil, Quilava, and Typhlosion??? They dont have fire on when they first pop out. Now this is fine for Cyndaquil, cause he's cute, but the other to look like giant hairless rats now until you use a fire move, then the fire comes back but only for a split second. Its the very first Model that i have not been happy with.

I found playing the game very enjoyable, but I too have been annoyed with the lack of stuff to do post-game. I too have been trying to get into competitive battling, so that's been keeping me busy (the only thing preventing my EV trained pokemon from greatness is the quality of their trainer). The battle maison is only really a grind for points, and I found the Looker missions really boring. The lack of pokemon was disappointing, but I can't blame them for running out of ideas when you have over 700 of them. I also really like the atmosphere and the feel of the game as a whole.

The new Pokemon are alright, I guess. I liked the Gen V pool better. There weren't nearly enough, either. (I'd rather have more meh ones just to have more.)

I wasn't that impressed with the 3D rendering overall. Other than in Lumiose City, it might as well have been in Gen IV/V-style pseudo-3D, since only in Lumiose can you actually be in the same place and have the camera angle change (by approaching it from different angles). That was neat. Lumiose is also HUGE, which I encourage them to continue.

I wish there'd been more to do with the roller skates. You learned a couple tricks and then... that was it. It didn't show up much later.

The pacing was strange. There was a TON of space between the first and second Gyms (and also a lot before the first), but after that the game moved very quickly.

Team Flare was horrible. They didn't have a convincing goal or any interesting characters, their theme was repetitive and annoying, and they showed up at seemingly random times, often unnoticed by other NPCs. (In Geosenge Town early on, for example.)

Count me in for the lack of post-game material. The Looker missions are kind of a nice diversion, but I wish they were harder. It just ruins it for him to tell you exactly what to do. Getting a competitive team is fun, though, and occupies a lot of time.

A summary of my opinion of the game is that it contains a number of neat ideas that weren't taken far enough. It's still Pokemon, though, and as a result I still love it.

My favourite part besides the new battle machanics and mega evolutions and graphics is so far how on rainy routes when you run into a wild pokemon, the battle options will have little rain drops on them. They could have also released this new update AFTER christmas instead ofbbefore, cause now the Eshop is down so people like me, who got the game for christmas cant update it.

I enjoyed both of the games a bunch! Not my favorite, but nevertheless good.
