Paldean Wooper, Cetitan, and Fidough revealed in latest Direct

I hope the dog has a better evolution than Yamper.

Since regional variants are now a staple, I don't mind seeing Wooper have one. (Although it does seem to be a simple color swap).

This, this, this! I'm loving how smooth Miraidon looks, especially in its motorcycle and jet plane forms! I'm leaning closer and closer to getting Violet the more I see of Miraidon. Just hope it has a red shiny because I just love the color red, but I don't mind much anyway. :D

Here, have a Snickers. You're not you when you're hungry. There's no way I'm letting you eat that boy.

While it isn't confirmed. I feel like it might be slightly inspired by Tron, so I imagine Miraidon having a burnt orange shiny to match that tron like color it has now.

If their attack and defensive stats are good enough, they could be good revenge killers on bulky offense teams, especially in Hail.

How often are bulky offense teams in Hail? Seems strange to pick Slush Rush without planning to be under Hail regularly. Competes with Beartic for a Slush Rush spot. (Confirmed them in the trailer.) How would you make them different without making Beartic irrelevant?

Beartic's base stats: 95 HP / 130 Atk / 80 Def / 70 SpAtk / 80 SpDef / 50 Speed

Cannot see it going any faster than Beartic. Shies away from going slower, however. Practically turns Slush Rush into a trap that way. Perhaps something more like:

Cetitan theoretical 1: 80 HP / 130 Atk / 135 Def / 50 SpAtk / 60 SpDef / 50 Speed

Specializes it more towards withstanding physical hits. Could also give it a unique move and drop its Attack slightly. Imagine this with an Ice-type Power-Up Punch or physical Ice Eruption.

Alternatively, focus on a Thick Fat build. Looks to Mamoswine (another Thick Fat Pokemon). Tries not to step on its toes.

Mamoswine's base stats: 110 HP / 130 Atk / 80 Def / 70 SpAtk / 60 SpDef / 80 Speed

(Actually made the previous theoretical relatively close to Mamoswine.) Works with a few more points this time. Locks Speed back in at 50. Would rather tank Speed more for Trick Room, but oh well. Envisions an Assault Vest spread. So,

Cetitan theoretical 2: 120 HP / 120 Atk / 120 Def / 50 SpAtk / 70 SpDef / 50 Speed

Could see this working okay. Asks for an Ice Drain Punch for sure. Balanced out its stats more than Avalugg's. Doubts too many super-effective special attacks not covered by Thick Fat. Lacks way more power than, say, Conkeldurr, however. Risks eating a second attack.

wooper's form only got a few modifications because it's already a good design. i do like seeing a brown part poison-type tho.

can't say i'm a big fan of fidough. i love dogs but idk it doesn't really have much flow to it and the lineart in the official art just bothers me a lot. i would prolly modify a few details here and there.

cetitan reminds me of bismarck (from the critically acclaimed mmorpg final fantasy 14 with a free tria- btw). also, i like that mouth, very unique touch.

A fun note to take in, thanks to BirdKeeperToby on youtube, Wooper has actually had hints about having a different form way in the past games. Even in the 3rd Gen games, it states that wooper will sometimes come on land to search for food and when it does, it covers itself in a toxic film.

So it makes perfect sense that Wooper would eventually change if it stayed on land for too long.

Any new addition to the Wooper line makes me happy because they are just the most lovable li'l guys, bless them. And I love the skull-and-crossbones thing it has going on! Can't wait for Quagsire! :D

I want to like Fidough but the official art isn't cute to me at all and looks kind of ugly  Hopefully I warm up to it or it has a better evolution.

And Cetitan... Vielleroue has it spot-on, it looks like an AI-generated Fakemon and its mouth is horrifying! Its whole design just doesn't make sense to me at all. If its mouth was different, like a normal whale, I might have found it really cute. Colour scheme is nice!
