[PokeCommunity.com] PC Friend Lists and Requests

This is the saddest post of the day. ;(

I never sent one, and I haven't gotten any since it was new. I don't bother with it tbh.

I don't really add people, but I accept all friend requests.

Honestly have no idea how I got 124 of them. (and I don't know who more than half of them are)

I'll accept anyone who sends me a request. It's not like the "friends list" here on PC really means anything, like it did on LiveJournal or things like that (where your friends got access to things that the public didn't).

And it's not like I'm better friends with the people on the list, or that I'm more willing to talk to them than a "non-friend" member. I have my people that I like randomly sending messages to, and I'll respond when I can to anyone who sends me a message.

The friends list here on PC doesn't mean a whole lot to me. It's just another feature that I ignore.

I accept any friend requests. Even if I hate you. (So far I have made 0 enemies here :))

I accept anyone, and I try to make an effort to get to know them a little bit. Helps if I've seen them around, too. Right now, as my friends list currently stands I know about three or four of the people on there enough to have a good conversation with them.

I'm always down for friends on PC, though. The more the merrier.

I don't mind who's in my friends list anymore. I remember a few years back I removed a lot of people. Now it doesn't matter. My friends list doesn't need structure. I may not talk with anyone really but I'll still keep everyone as friends. As far as friend requests go I remember it rare for me to ignore one. As far as me getting friend requests these days, well that's rare.

i deleted all my friends on here because i've been super inactive lmao. i'll accept most friend requests if you've at least spoken to me before though.

For a long time I added literally anyone who sent a friend request, but then my list got too big and I could never find anyone on it, so I removed everyone I didn't know. Then I decided I should keep my list at or under 100 so I trimmed it even further but... I was constantly having to go in and thin it out because I was still making new friends. Eventually I realized that trying to restrict my list to something like 15 friends a year (without removing inactive friends) was just stupid so I gave up on trying to cap it. Now, I just accept anyone so long as like... I've spoken to them or at least seen them around in threads/forums I frequent. It seems to work just fine. I do wish the friend list was more functional thought. It's pretty pointless in its current form. :(

People add me aaaaall the time and I usually always accept since I'm really not bothered by who I add. I talk to way too many users on PC and am hardly selective with who I accept (especially new users, for some of them that could be the deciding factor to stick around) but circumstances would change highly if friends list were used differently. If we got some sorts of notifications for each time someone on our friends list posted I'd probably end up cutting down my list by.. a lot, haha.

I usually only observe one main restriction for my friends list: I need to have talked to you and have realized it! I do hang out on the Battle Server so it's not hard to pop in and strike up a quick convo; or even drop a few VMs and chat with me that way.

If I like someone enough I'll end up being the requester anyways; and most people don't reject when I request, because I won't request someone unless I talked to them recently and got along with them.

I just accept anyone who sends me one despite knowing the only reason people add me is to see my VMs. u_u I rarely, if ever actually send a friend request. Only if I know the person from another forum. People usually friend request me because I have my VMs set to private. I question if these people actually want to be my friend, tbh.
