    Itchin' to show off your Leauge of Legends skills?
    Welcome to the first monthly Leauge of Legends ARAM showdown, hosted by yours truly!
    In this tournament, players from all over play in 1v1 matches in order for them to rein supreme and to claim their prize of glory! As dramatic as that sounds, it's the way this game works!

    BUT WAIT THERE'S A CATCH! You're only allowed to play as a Mage Champion! If you want a list of them, refer to this.

    Starting now, you can sign up for the tournament, which will last until Saturday the 14th. Once sign ups are over, the signed-up players will be matched against one another in a tournament bracket, as they play against each other in a best-of-three ARAM smack-down fest! Pretty cool, right?
    Rules and Guidelines
    Before you join, please skim through the following set of rules.

    1. All matches will be played on ARAM, or in other words, the Howling Abyss. To start a match with your opponent, click Play > Custom > Normal > either Join or create game, depending on if you're going to create the game, or join the one that your opponent as made for the both of you. If you're creating, remember, create the game on Howling Abyss. Under Game Type, choose Blind Pick. Then start the game and your champion will be selected for you!

    2. Tournament matches will be played as a best of three. Meaning the first one to gain two wins in the match will win the match and will advance! But please remember to report your match's results! (and yes, you're allowed to choose a different champion before each match)

    3. And please, be respectful towards each other, yeah? Failure to do so will result in a DQ.

    4. To sign up, just follow the sign up sheep below:

    Cause what's a tournament without them?

    1st place: The player who goes in first will receive 10$ worth of RP towards their League of Legends account, as well as a very special first place emblem!

    The rest will receive an emblem for their efforts!

    But of course, all players will get something - a participation emblem for their efforts!

    Champs like Evelynn/Yorick are listed on the Wiki as mages - are they allowed or no?

    So what champions do you guys think will be strong in this mode? I'm expecting Yorick and Evelynn to be pretty easily bullied, maybe Varus and Ezreal could be quite strong as they count as mages on the list but their adc pushing would be hard to stop... Perhaps some of the tankier mages are the way to go? Or is waveclear your best option? I'm interested to see what everyone chooses haha.

    Mages aren't my strong suit, but hey, why not? May as well give it a try :P

    I'm thinking that some of mages with a stronger mix of burst, low counterplay, and pushing all in one will be the best choice.

    Really on this map pushers are all you need. Kills wont be a huge focus as you have a ton of sustain with the health packets. Fast pushers like Heim, Liss, Zyra etc are going to be a lot better. Melee mages or more supporty mages with little clear are going to be much harder to win with IMO

    I'm expecting someone like Ahri, Heimer or Zyra to be the way to go. Too bad I don't own any of them.
