Perks versus responsibility

While I totally abuse the 150x150 avatar, I'd much rather have staff-ness. Perks are cool and all but well they're generally not very useful. I can make my profile pretty without having to spam background pictures or gradients, and blogs are just a side-thing to the forum. And the VIP forum? Psshhh. :(

I prefer the responsibility of modship because I can abuse my pow-

...use my powers for good.

[PokeCommunity.com] Perks versus responsibility

Emm... yeah. I'd Rather have God Mod Powers, Then I'd be able to keep the Idiocy levels within certain areas below a certain level...

I survived for half a year without any perks so I'd much rather be a mod (of the upcoming R/S remakes forum thanks). I'd have to do my Hall of Fame Challenge another way though, but that's not a big deal. Being a mod would be.

I'd go for perks any day. Although tbh, Tier 3 suits me fine...sure, bigger images would be cool, but lots of icons are avatar-sized anyway.

And I wouldn't be a staff member, as I simply don't have the time, and do intend to spend less time on here and more time doing important things like revision. I'm still able to answer questions in Q&A threads, and me not being a moderator makes me feel special when random people ask me stuff, so I'd rather not be a mod, who I assume get asked lots of questions by lots of people (Even occasionally me).

Not sure what I'd mod, but I'd go for basic level moderation. Power and popularity is a perk in itself, a perk which I've yet to experience on this forum, xD and blogs and profiles are the only perks I actually use, so moving up to Tier 6 wouldn't really make a difference. Also, you forgot to mention whether the Hypothetical Mods got colored usernames and badges or not.

The day I don't see the checkboxes all over the forums, I'll feel so incredibly weird.

Plus my name in the supporter formatting looks... so strange XD And I hate large avatars (I always ask people for small ones... although most artists don't seem to pay attention to that).

Bold username to dictate staff, but colour seems to be a perk tbh, badges defs perk imo lol.

**** being a moderator. No way. I'd appreciate the sentimentality of the offer. Being a moderator isn't a power trip worth the power trip, with all the politics, reigning in of your own madness and all. Anyway, I donated to help, not to buy my perks. Besides, prior to donating, I won Tier 5 as a prize in that Easter Egg Hunt. I donated afterwards, but my emblem got deleted. They probably thought it was issued to me as a mistake, buuuut...

I think I will just stick to the perks. For the most part instead of a color usertitle, we got most of the things that moderators do. And being a moderator is a huge responsibility. Not only that, I have to worry about other responsibilities outside this forum. That will be too much for me to handle if I was a moderator here. I won't be a good mod anyway.

I'd probably choose to be a moderator. As much as I would like to be tier 6, it's even harder to become a moderator. Not to mention, I have a insane amount of free time to mod this place.

I would be a mod. I used to mod at another forum and it did take up time, but I enjoy being on here anyway, so might as well be useful. I rather liked it actually. :3

I like helping out, so I would probably go for being a mod. I like the perks the supporter status offers, but I don't tend to use them too much. I can live with an 130x130 avatar. Not really much of a biggie there. If I could help people out, then yeah. I'm cool with no perks. o3o

What, being staff without all the staff perks? Are you daft? That'd be half the fun! :<

The staff perks offset the responsibilities. I'd much rather be Tier 6 anyhow. Being staff is a huge pain in the neck. If you think I'm tough on you staffies now...god, I'd be even more insufferable as a staff member. Don't inflict that on yourselves.

That being said, perks aren't the reason I donated anyway. My first donation of $5 was way back when all you got was an italicized username. That's all I ever expected then. I donated $20 more later when I found out about the donator system, but that wasn't for the perks so much as I wanted to help bring something useful to the VIP forum. xD
(I didn't succeed much obviously, oh well).

I later donated $10 more for the hell of it. Not for perks or anything of the sort, just donating to donate. PC needed the cash, as the server just...stank. it was the DBE a day era jsyk.

Hmm, after never being a moderator of zero days, I'd have to say Supporter. I mean, I'm barely online, and when I am, all I do is lurk/report in the Game Development section. While I'm more than capable of the responsibility, I'd rather spam my powers of an unnecessarily large profile image then warn/infract/ban people. Plus, I intend on customizing my profile once I get the hang of it. Be that as it may, I would love a chance to become a moderator. It has been a goal, for PokéCommunity, for quite a while. I'm thoroughly sure that I could handle the responsibility, but.... the, the perks! I'm sure I could learn to deal with it, eventually. Besides, not like I even use my blog to begin with. Never have and probably never will.

I'd really like to be a mod more, I'm kinda like Raichu, I didn't really donate for the perks, but I like the blog lol. I'm on PC quite a lot of the time, sometimes I get REALLY BORED , it would be a nice thing to do :) I still get the EPIC BLOG, it says on the faq in the criteria for a blog

"Become a staff member"

lol :P

Perks. I just became Tier 3, and I already love the perks. Plus I know for a fact modding isnt all its cracked up to be( ive been a mod on a different forum), though it was nice, if offered a mod position here Id have a hard time deciding if it was worth it. Plus Ive been here for a bout a year now and am just fine not being a mod. I dont really know what Im missing though,so idk. If offereed a staff position Id probably say yes.

I liked having my username color changed but i think i did it more to be a bigger part of the community and if i had the choice i would swap it for moderator <3 i have always wanted to be a mod for forums
