Personally I do like the italic blue username colour as it is. I was in two minds about reverting to my original non-formatted username. I've opted to keep the username colour/style I have now as it is not representitive of anything but outlining that fact that yes, it is a username but no, it doesn't need to represent anything else other than that for now. However, in saying that, quite recently I was close to reverting back to my supporter colour but on a second thought -which reiterated the points I made above- I opted out of doing so.
As far as pink and blue usernames go, I wouldn't see any necessity to have them both. Reading other threads about "equality" and the likes shows me that most members of PC are all for people being equal where as if we had 2 username colours -let's pretend all members of PC have a set gender- there wouldn't be that equality, it would be seperating sexes which in my opinion isn't practical. I like it how it is, there are the few people within the same mind-set as I, sporting the default colour but it's personal preferrance really.
But as said above, having two colours, defining genders, is the intolerance that the world shows at times. Though I guess it helps when you can't tell what gender your acquaintance's new born baby is, from personal experiance. All in all I think it's justified that we have a set colour, even if it is somewhat more masculine according to some, then again, it was voted for.
