Pink... blue...

We are. :x

Though Erica would have to become an honourary supporter.

Why can't we have something gender neutral? Like... um... orange. o3o

Edit: Or some kind of bold black or something. XD

Cause we shouldn't need to have gender neutral colours and orange is taken...

I would absolutely adore a pink username.

Pink vs. Blue usernames?

<8|
Uh... Er... WHY CAN'T I HAVE BOTH?! >o<
/flail

I love how we are able to turn any thread in this forum into discussion of username color.

Also:
Spoiler:

I don't view blue or pink as gender specific colors, to be honest. I think it's silly to do that since they're just colors after all. I think the world's perception of gender identity and gender specific colors just goes to show that it's all a bunch of hoopla. They're colors, for God's sake. In no way should they be used to determine masculinity and femininity. Then again, the majority of the things that are used to determine them are stereotypical as well... so blue = boy and pink = girl is just another one of those gender stereotypes.

Personally I do like the italic blue username colour as it is. I was in two minds about reverting to my original non-formatted username. I've opted to keep the username colour/style I have now as it is not representitive of anything but outlining that fact that yes, it is a username but no, it doesn't need to represent anything else other than that for now. However, in saying that, quite recently I was close to reverting back to my supporter colour but on a second thought -which reiterated the points I made above- I opted out of doing so.

As far as pink and blue usernames go, I wouldn't see any necessity to have them both. Reading other threads about "equality" and the likes shows me that most members of PC are all for people being equal where as if we had 2 username colours -let's pretend all members of PC have a set gender- there wouldn't be that equality, it would be seperating sexes which in my opinion isn't practical. I like it how it is, there are the few people within the same mind-set as I, sporting the default colour but it's personal preferrance really.

But as said above, having two colours, defining genders, is the intolerance that the world shows at times. Though I guess it helps when you can't tell what gender your acquaintance's new born baby is, from personal experiance. All in all I think it's justified that we have a set colour, even if it is somewhat more masculine according to some, then again, it was voted for.

I don't think Blue is really thought of as a "boy color" anymore. I mean, who would honestly find it odd for a girl to like Blue? I wouldn't. I've never really met anyone who did either.

I think it might be more that pink is the only color that really gets the heat in terms of gender bias.

I wouldn't mind it being pink, since it's a favorite color of mine

Blue is used as male specific for babies xD
Are you implying we should all start filling up ours diapers again Derk? so in

Wasn't the supporter color once purple before? I mean, it wouldn't make much of a difference if it were pink, wouldn't it?

But anyway, I don't know. It really depends and I'd have to see a photoshopped comparison between the two supporter colors to actually make a decision. Blue seems pretty cool, I don't know if pink would be pushing it or not. ):

I seem to recall purple names too. o.O
I like purple.

...Buuut I like Blue too.

Someone Ask for this type thing? (ignore the bar, that was my interpretation of how my bar should be)
[PokeCommunity.com] Pink... blue...
[PokeCommunity.com] Pink... blue...
[PokeCommunity.com] Pink... blue...

Our current Blue color, followed by a decent green color, followed by a nice pink-ish color. I honestly wouldn't mind being any of these or even back to the purple. (Though I do miss this the most XDD)

Guuuys as much as I love pink, the supporter colour will never be pink.

Because then I would be jealous.

Some years, I change the default style on PC to Blossom Shower for spring because, you know--spring, blossoms, petals, flowers--it all fits. And every time that happens? We get complaints from people who hate pink. Yeah, it's solved pretty quickly when they learn there are ~different skins~ to set on PC and they don't have to be shackled to the default all the time but... honestly? One of the major perks for being a supporter is the name colour. If we choose a gender slanted colour like pink, people will not donate because they won't want the name colour. And we kind of need the donations. :(

Doesn't matter if some people have transcended gender stereotypes and see pink as gender neutral. Fact remains that, in general, it just isn't.

More and more and more reason to offer a color choice to supporters.
It couldn't be any harm to offer the three colors that Gerri Shin showcased above. It'd kill the complaints, and wishes to change color every 300 days, and essentially solve the color conundrum as a whole.

Okay that one is a definite no. It's already enough of a pain to scroll past the 6 different supporter UGs in the admin CP. :/ Scrolling past like 3x that amount wouldn't be worth it for the few people that REALLY dislike their current colour, honestly.

I've only ever had one person ask me to remove their supporter status because (presumably) he/she did not like the colour of their formatted name. :/ If it's really such a big deal that we need to offer ~choices~ then, well, idk. Just seems to me people are missing the point of donations. You're donating for PC, the perks are extra. It won't kill you to not have a favourite colour to choose from. And the lack of choice is why we have a neutral blue.

I vote for pink on "special" days anyways.

I don't think a choice is too little to ask for. o.O Unless it would be a hazard to program of course.
I'm just saying, it could only make people happier, right?

Then again, I have a slight idea of what you mean by scrolling through the UG.
