    So it's an internet get-together by means of other digital mediums than right here at the ol' Pokécommunity?

    Sounds like a neat idea.
     
    I remember these from waaay back. >_> I especially remember how blasted slow the boards ran on such days. :P

    If there are events to be had though, I can suggest a SSBB/MKwii/Pokemon wifi tournament of sorts, but Nintendo's poor little servers will probably explode. XD
     
    This sounds like a cute, fun little idea. A way for us to all have fun and get to know each other better.

    I was thinking that could possibly hold a pixel art chain, to make one large picture? I'm sure Matt would supervise.

    Anyway, I'm thinking it might be best to hold this Friday-Sunday on a weekend. That's ample time for people to pick an event and whatnot. I also think that we should keep some events on one day, others on another. ie, maybe have the scavenger hunt take place on Saturday--more people around than on Friday and it might keep people around for the following day. Also if we keep different events at different times instead of just tossing them all up and going "HEY LOOK EVERYTHING" then discussion is kept cleaner, people can concentrate fully on an event, etc.

    This forum should have its own theme. :]

    Ideas that I probably don't want to have to run but here they are anyway:
    • GAMING NIGHTS
      → If we hold this over three days of a weekend, we can have a gaming night each night.
      → XBL: we can... actually attempt another game night. :( Probably just Halo as always but we'll see. We could attempt some sort of team tournament or something I dunno. XD
      → PSN: I dunno what people are playing but maybe LBP or something. I call not doing this as I have no decent games lmao.
      → WFC: Brawl, MKWii, anything else. DS games too, maybe. :O I think we're attempting another Brawl tourney in Other Games so we could try to sync that up with this somehow?
      → PC Gaming: for those without the "console of the day", the backup could be playing something on the computer? TF2 or something, I dunno. *super imaginative today oh boy*
    • Chats
      → I know we'll have a DCC in the forum, like the last few (I think?), so we've got forum-talk covered.
      → A large skype convo maybe? :| I know people were badgering for some sort of speak server and that really could be a fun thing for events like this.
    • Ideas for events
      → Trivia of different categories like Pokemon games, Pokemon anime, General Pokedex, Pokecommunity, and some random other stuff thrown in, maybe.
      → SOME SORT OF OEKAKI CONTEST SO I AND OTHERS WILL REMEMBER THAT IT EXISTS. Maybe we could have theme suggestions and then pick the best one and everyone has to draw something based on the theme.
    • Prizes
      → I am willing to make a few donations for the various contests as prizes (or we could just, you know, do it without the donations lmao). So say, whoever wins a tournament or something could be bumped up to supporter status (or higher up in supporter status, or give a gift to a friend, WHATEVER)
      → Would also be willing to do some small actual non-donation prizes if people were comfortable giving out addresses. (idk like cards or PKMN merch or something lmao :|)
      → I ttly can't do this one but resident traders might be able to--rare/event Pokemon could be given out, maybe? I dunno, just tossing things out there. :(
      → Embleeeeeems. :D Preferably "reuseable" emblems that could be given to more people next time we do a Get-Together since that way they don't take up lots of space in the CP and people have something to aspire to get if they miss this event.

    k I lied, I'll totally run trivia if it gets a green light. Or try to. I might need help from experts in the various "fields" in order to come up with good questions. :|
     
    Maybe we could all meet on one of those simple, Free-to-Play MMOs?
     
    Prizes: Can most likely get some amazon gift cards $30, 25, 20, etc for use as prizes.. free supporter upgrades can also be offered.. as well as bought and paid for 'hard' prizes like plushies or game carts... donated by whomever.
     
    I could possibly donate a few prizes, if you needed me to.
     
    We could do a 4chan and raid HabboHotel under the guise of Todoroki? ;]

    Seriously! I got all excited that we were going to have a PokéCommunity Get-Together in real life. That would have been SO awesome, even if it'll be in various parts of the world due to the fact that... we can't all venture out to another country. :[

    The only thing I could think of is what Erica already said; a Skype convo. But I get confused as it is with just four people on Skype, let alone any more.

    NO. OMG I KNOW. Someone invent commercial use of holograms so that we can all buy one and then we can meet up by next weekend (thats when it is right?)

    I don't mean to be a negative Nancy or anything but... really, I can't see any large voice chats working at ALL. When we had the PC game nights on XBL those few nights there were only 8 people in the party, and even then it was hard to tell who was talking and what they were saying (but then again, a certain three people were pretty damn loud... XD;). So like, if we did team related stuff then group voice chats for the teams would be alright, but just having a giant voice chat wouldn't work at all :(

    I'm all for playing games and all, like Halo or LBP or TF2 maybe... lmao I so just copied Lightning's suggestions with those games.

    Another thing I can see being fun would be iSketch, which is basically Pictionary :O That's one of those games where it doesn't matter how many people are playing, or if you have voice or not, and it's always hilarious to play with friends XD
