4th Gen Platinum, diamond or Pearl?

I brought Diamond and Pearl when they first came out, but I'll try and see whether or not I'll buy Platinum.
Looking at it, the new features and locations are pretty neat, so I'm thinking of buying it as well.

I have two copies of Pokemon Diamond, an American version and a European version. I will definitely get Pokemon Platinum, and I've saved up the right amount t buy it.

I have an American and European version of Diamond and Pearl... and while I have the Japanese version of Platinum, I still plan to buy the English version of Platinum. I'm torn between getting the American or European version, though... or I'll just get both... XD

Is there a difference between the European and North American versions? Besides if the European version has different languages, but I'm pretty sure that both of the English versions will be exactly the same, anyway.

Originally, I wanted Diamond because Dialga is better than Palkia, IMO. But I feel Platinum is going to pwn DP. With Giratina Origin Form, a new Sinnoh Battle Frontier, ability to catch all 3 members of the Dragon/Reality Trio, and visitation to the Torn World (Distortion World is OK for a name, but Torn World sounds much cooler since it's a realm torn from our reality), Platinum is going to be AWESOME.
It has much more content than DP, too. And since I replaced my previous Sapphire cart with Emerald, I want to continue with the "3rd Game of the Generation" trend for a while! Lastly, I still haven't gotten a DS and started Gen. IV :( (shame on me, I know), so having a fresh new experience with Platinum will help me enjoy Gen. IV even more!! :D Platinum FTW! :cer_nod:

*And to celebrate the forthcoming arrival of Platinum, I'm defaulting my template to Seeds of Platinum! :)

I'm really not that "big" of a Pokefan, but I may end up getting Platinum anyway. I've had Diamond for almost six months, and I'm still struggling to get to the fourth badge. Maybe a newer interface and features would liven things up.

the fourth gym? as in , Pastoria city? well, whenever i do that gym, i usually catch a carnivine, or a bibarel and teach it an electric move, since it's part water type itself. also, i sometimes find it easy to go throught eh marsh to the west of the city, until you get to the mansion, since they have a variety of grass and electric pokemon there. i myself have pokemon diamond, but i have to wait until May 22nd to get Platinum! :(

Platinum's Elite 4 and Champ are harder,and the pokemon are harder to raise,too!

I think my bro will stick with the idea,like pearl,to use OTHER pokemon instead of his starters evolveloutions!

Aside from the languages, (which I'm assuming activate from reading the DS's set language; I think you set a language for the DS, anyway...) there are no huge impacting differences. Other than the fact they release later than they do most everywhere else in the world. (for example, a 2 month gap between the US and EU release of Platinum) There's nothing hugely, impactingly different in the game.

Oh, and you don't get the ESRB 'Warning' about online play when you start up the game. All you get is the standard copyright stuff. But other than those minor details, everything is the same.
