Hello ???,
While the Nintendo DS will support game made in foreign regions, I'm afraid Nintendo of America is unable to assist you in obtained a Japanese version of Pokemon Platinum. However, I wish you the best of luck in your search.
Sincerely,
Marcie Mitchell

Subject: RE: Webform: Nintendo DS > Where to Buy
Good evening,
Yes, I have perfect knowledge of those issues, but the DS Lite is built to support foreign games/data, isn't it? Plus, I already know everything about the issues, but I can understand mostly what's going on, and I get Platinum news every day or week, so I have perfect knowledge of the game too (and I saw the demo and the Porygon with TM27), so it's not a waste. Also, I know it is not in English, but I do not want to wait until Spring 2009 (your fault for releasing the date, but I don't blame you- the other guys at the Community do) to get the game which will be sold out by then. I only want to order it due to the fact that I have Diamond AND Pearl and the fact that I want to see lots of snow in the games, battle Dawn, etc.
Sincerely,
?????

Hello,
Nintendo of America is only able to sell products that are licensed for sale in the United States and Canada. As a result, it is unlikely that we would be involved in the sale of a gamepak that was made for foreign distribution.
As you know, the DS Lite is internationally compatible, meaning it can play software from any country. However, games released outside the U.S. and Canada may not feature English. Multiplayer play between games made for different regions is not recommended, as we cannot guarantee their compatibility. Wi-Fi play may also be different if playing a game from one region in another.
Additionally, if you purchase a game not intended for use here, you may have difficulty obtaining service or support. Foreign games are also not eligible for the product registration program at
www.nintendo.com. For more information, please visit the following web page:

Dear Nintendo staff,
Will it be possible to pre-order Pokemon Platinum (JAPANESE version) if you're in Canada/U.S.A. and get it shipped to you?
Thank you.
Sincerely,
