FireRed hack: Pokémon Adventure - Red Chapter NEW BETA + EXPANSION

That said, i am 8 hours in game now, non stop and i m blown away. Thank you for the all pokemon in game feature.

One silly question if you may: where can i find link cables, i am just past the Lavender town chapter, have been through all areas a couple of times and i cant find any.

Also if possible the ash of the deceased pikachu i still dont know what to do with it even tho it asked to be put at peace at the tower.

YOu can buy link cables in Celadon market.
You'll need to place the Pikachu ash in Lavender Tower. You know the room where you fought Blue in Lavender Tower? Well go to the tomb stone at the top, and talk to it.
 
Oh, by the way. I've created a thread of Pokemon Adventure Yellow Chapter and Pokemon Adventure Blue Chapter in the progressing hack section. I know I'm going against what people keeps telling me to do (focus on Red and Green hack first) but I'm sick of cramming screenshots in my cpu, and working a hack from a clean rom.

Anyway, Yellow Chapter thread was approved, but Blue Chapter's thread is still pending so... yeah.

I honestly would have preferred if you made threads for Blue and Yellow, but I thought that you should focus on Red and Green first. I'm going to look at these threads now!
 
I've been having loads of fun with the new beta, however I've run into a problem in that i've completed the origin bonus chapter but Mr Fuji never placed the venosaurite in my bag (Possibly due to it being full at the time, though i freed up several spaces before entering the cave) is it possible to cheat it in or some other method to obtain it? Or does the virtue of it being a modded in item prevent it from being spawned?

Don't worry, you can buy another later one in Beta 9.
 
Thats great to hear, thanks for the quick reply too! You actually got me as i was about to report having the same battery-not-working bug as the people on the previous page :P

Edit: If it's not too spoiler-y asking, what does the egg given by the wailord hatch into? It seems to take a huge number of steps to hatch :0

I may be a derp asking but to my understanding on the status of the game is that the main story is completed, the orange islands only need pink frenzy for beta9 and for bonus ch there is herp derp plot for beta9 and after these 2 will the game be completely done? or further on you might come up with something to add or maybe get bombarded with private messages/posts of bugs/glitches for u to fix and update with fixed problems

Just wanted to say your work is really great and was actually the reason I ended up joining this forum. I'll definitely be playing through your hacks and keep up to date on your progress.

I may have missed a post, but how many beta releases are you hoping to release until the Red Chapter is 100% completed? If you need some help such as me keeping an eye out for any grammatical errors or the likes of through my playthrough let me know.

I've already had the storyline planned out. If I release 12 chapters for each beta than there would be 2 more beta left. Maybe 1 final beta to tweak the level, fix the glitch, etc.

Okay, I promise that Beta 9 won't be as long as a wait than Beta 8. This semester I have a lot of days off, so I can work on the hack more.

Okay, I've decided to quit making Pokemon Adventure Red Chapter. Why? Yesterday I notice the comments I've posted in my thread were deleted by the mod because according to him it was off topic. I was even told that in my thread, I cannot talk about my other hacks (even though they're linked together).

I'm going to move my hack into another forum or another community where there is a lot more freedom. If I can't find any, then I'll just quit. Bye.
 
Well, why not just make those posts in their respective threads? I really hope you will not leave the community just because of a few moderated messages. You are one of the few hackers who is actually active and finishing their hacks. I do not know if this is just a "final straw that broke the camel's back" situation or not, but if you really are set on leaving the community and going to another forum...

I believe the s7 Zetaboards had a forum for hacks, but I cannot find it now. Not sure what happened, if they removed it or not but might want to check there for a new home for your hack. Other than that place, I do not know where you could put your hacks.

EDIT: Oh and please do tell us in your threads where we can find your hacks from now on if you do find a new home.

This is mod powers abuse, Hashtag should be sanctioned for this. Aethestode, you should report his attitude to an admin.
 
WE DEMAND AETHESTODE BACK!

Aethestode, you are an awesome hacker and Red Chapter is constantly getting update, each one being as adventurous as the magna series! Plus, there are only so few hackers that actually carry on with their project no matter what! We support you Aethestode and I call for an apology to Aethestode! Too bad their can't be petitions online...
 
On a serious note I do hope the Mods on Pokecommunity take note of this. You cannot be hard on people to the point where it comes to this. Not all the Mods are like this but it makes the site just un-fun and ruins the joy of ROM Hacking. Aethestode I really enjoyed your Hacks but I fully respect your decision to quit as I do not blame you. But in all honesty to the Mod that did this was Aethestode in any real violation of a rule that would cause all of this? I do not think so but then again everyone is entitled to their own opinion as am I. But let's remember one thing from all of this, while rules and regulations are important especially on website such as this one we have to remember we are all human and not robots. We all have are flaws and there is no reason to be unnecessarily hard on people because of minor mistakes. Thank you.
