Is it okay to use an old version of this game as a rombase? I can't find any trainer sprites based on hgss, music similar to gen ii, or tilesets for grass, enhanced pokemoncenters or anything.

When I tried playing this on gpSP it said " The 1M sub-circuit board is not installed" and wouldn't let me save. When I tried it on mGBA it ran too slow to be playable, but it did save. I'm playing it through retroarch on PSvita.

You might want to know that a lot of ROM Hacks are not tested for emulators on external devices or actual hardware, and playing on those can result in unexpected glitches and bugs.
