HeartGold hack: Pokémon Heart Red - Red/Blue Remake for Nintendo DS

Oh my god dude, this looks amazing! i'd love to help but i'm not that experienced... Any plans to add red going through the johto region and ending it at mt silver?
 
I will try to get a new update within the next couple weeks considering how much support this project has been getting.

I think 0.4.7.3 doesn't work on flash carts and 0.4.7.2 did so I updated that link as well.

Woohoo! not dead! Sadly i can't play, computer troubles and stuff, but when i can you betcha i'll give it a shot!
 
Update.

This version is mostly cosmetic (however flashcarts work again). I have been working out how to replace various game graphics and this is the result.

I was able to find a decent amount of sprites already made online, but I need some more. Leaf only has her walking animations. I would also like to replace Blue with a version that looks more like the original games, but the only versions I can find only include walking sprites. The gold touchscreen / menus need to be recolored to red as well. I just need a good color scheme on the palette. So anyone experienced with sprites & graphics that can help out, let me know.

Updated. A new town is accessible (Lavender Town) and dozens of new trainer battles were added.

Version 4.8.0 will have at least one new Gym.

- Route 8 complete with trainers.
- Route 12 below Lavender Town is complete with trainers.
- Snorlax now blocks the rest of Route 12.
- Mega Punch can no longer be learned multiple times.
- Empty pokeball slots on Oak's table no longer have a message.
 
Two updates in one day! Great work! Things seem to really be going well. I wish you good luck in the future with the hack. I'm going to love playing this over and over and over again!
 
All right, this is amazing! I grew up with Red and Blue. This'll be great fun to play. I always wondered what it would be like to travel to Johto after Kanto in those games, so if you were to eventually add that... I might cry with joy D;

Really love the hack! and would love to contribute.
Here's my edit of Blue's costume to look more like his FRLG design.

I'll happily dummy up some walking sprites too if you need. I'd also be happy to try and make a more DS style Leaf sprite if you don't want to use her FRLG backsprites and Trainer sprite.

I've also taken a stab at changing the Palette of the Gold to Red on the Top and Bottom screens.

I was also thinking Blue instead of Green for the Start menu to tie into Red and Blue.
