WAVE 48: ASHES OF THE PAST
Every region has them...Pokémon that have been discovered in past regions before, and the NEONET is no exception, being your chance to combine the new arrivals of Oriva with the legends of the past. Normally, past regions don't describe much about these returning Pokémon, and modern Pokédexes even reuse older entries for them, but this is a different story. This wave will
only introduce one new Pokémon, but in return, it will showcase
all of the remaining returning non-Legendary Pokémon, all of which require the NEONET to obtain...and all of which are the returning Gigantamax forms, really.
Grass --> Grass --> Grass
Grookey was originally the Grass-type starter of the Galar Region, but in the NEONET it is just as common as any of the other Grass-types in the area. It's a tiny monkey Pokémon that leaps from tree to tree, carrying around a stick gathered from at tree full of life. When Grookey whacks this stick onto the ground, an energy enimates from it that makes the plants around it grow to their fullest extent. As it whacks the ground more and more, Grookey gets more cheerful and will start making a rhythm with it's own stick. If it ever loses the stick, Grookey will lose all of it's energy and perish. Grookey's evolved form is known as Thwackey, and in this form, it gains an extra stick that it can use to whack the ground for it's fellow peers. Thwackey is so focused on it's whacking, especially during long battles, that it sometimes does'nt notice it's trainer's commands, or the fact it has already knocked out it's opponent. Out of battle, Thwacky stores the two sticks in it's hair, which are said to hold anything within them perfectly. Thwackey's final evolved form is known as Rillaboom, the master jungle drummer! Although it has powerful arms that can climb up trees easily, Rillaboom prefers to fight using the drum on it's back: In battle, it will take out the drum and start playing it with the two drumsticks it carries, which will summon roots from the ground to ensare it's enemies. Rillaboom also uses these drums to help lead it's pack: When two of them face off against each other, the one with the louder drumming will become the pack leader. Supposedly, if it ever loses it's drum, Rillaboom can just conjure another one by focusing on the forest itself.
When it is exposed to the Gigantamax Factor, Rillaboom's drum becomes a massive drum kit! Having become one with the forest, Gigantamax Rillaboom spends all day playing on it's G-Max Drum Solo, which can be heard from up to a hundred miles away and can make anyone listening to it dance uncontrollably. Capable of summoning roots the size of mountains, it's said that Gigantamax Rillaboom only plays the drums and nothing else because the Gigantamax Factor had shrunk it's brain to an extent that this is the only thing it can do now.
Fire --> Fire --> Fire
Originally the Fire-type starter of Galar, Scorbunny is a rabbit Pokémon that has an athletic spirit within it, despite it not being an Athlete-type at all. It's flame sacs are contained within it's feet, which are said to bring good luck, and thus Scorbunny fires them up by running around all day long, leaving behind warm trails as it goes. A Scorbunny that has bright red feet is ready to fight at full power, and because of it's warming feet, it can live in cold environments without a problem. Once Scorbunny has gathered enough experience, it will evolve into Raboot. Possessing an aloof personality that makes it rarely friendly, Raboot spends all day preparing for it's next evolution by dislodging berries from trees and kicking them around as if they were soccer balls. It's thick fur allows Raboot to easily warm up and charge up it's Fire-type attacks, and the ruff that covers it's mouth allows Raboot to focus better in battle. Supposedly, it and Creamari are said to have descended from the same family tree. Once it has gained enough confidence, Raboot will evolve again into Cinderace, and in this form it gets it's athletic personality back. A cheerful Pokémon that fights flawlessly for it's trainer, Cinderace has a determined spirit that will never give up in a battle until the very end, and it's long legs allow it to run from one end of a football field to another in seconds. Uniquely for Fire-type Pokémon, Cinderace very rarely uses it's flame sac: Instead, it will kick around pebbles with enough force to light them on fire, before kicking them towards the opponent as if they were a meteor. It can easily get fired up when it is cheered out, but Cinderace loves to show off, and sometimes it's own cheering can be it's downfall!
The Gigantamax Factor amplifies Cinderace's own firepower, allowing it to go faster than a bullet train! Gigantamax Cinderace rides atop a G-Max Fireball that is said to be the living incarnation of it's own spirit, and it can kick this fireball with enough force that people compared it to the rising sun itself. Gigantamax Cinderace's fireball never misses it's target, and once it has locked onto an enemy, it will mercilessely chase them down for the rest of their life!
Water --> Water --> Water
Sobble, who was originally the Water-type starter of Galar, is a small lizard Pokémon that's common in swamps and rivers. It is an absolute crybaby, crying at the slightest provocation, and Sobble's tears can make anyone sees it cry fountains as well. This unknowingly triggers it's own camouflage which is sensitive to water, making Sobble invisible in the process. However, some sources claim that Sobbles that live in urban areas are instead cautious, taking battles one step at a time. When Sobble stops crying all the time, it is a sign that it is about to evolve into Drizzile. A Pokémon who's just about "Meh" to everyone, especially if the Sobble that evolved into it was thinking it was going to evolve into something handsome, Drizzile makes it's home in large caves and the tree trunks of swamps. It can generate water balloons from the moisture of it's skin, and it can not only throw them at it's enemies, but also lay them out as traps on it's lair as if they were landmines. Drizzile is also armed with a long tongue that can reach up to a mile away, and this tongue is filled with a special moisture that drains the emotions out of anyone they touch. Because of it's contrast between it's pre-evolved form and it's evolved form, some sources claimed that Drizzile is a secret identity for it's evolved form, which is known as Inteleon. A Pokémon who works best as a secret agent, Inteleon possesses a slender body and a cape-like membrane that can be used as a glider to glide across massive ravines. Capable of detecting invisible opponents with the fin on it's head, Inteleon's main weapon is it's own hands: By pointing to it's opponent and firing them like a gun, Inteleon can shoot massive blasts of water from it's fingertips that can break apart solid concrete in a single shot. It's a very precise sniper using these hands, and sometimes you'll find Inteleon sitting in one spot, looking for the perfect target to arrive.
The Gigantamax Factor turns Inteleon into a living watchtower, it's own tail becoming so tall, that no source can ever record it. From the top of it's tail, Gigantamax Inteleon uses it's water pistol to fire a G-Max Hydrosnipe towards it's opponents, which can make even a fully grown Fujitong explode into an ocean's worth of water in seconds. Gigantamax Inteleon rarely moves, and it is a rather recent discovery: In fact, it's said that Gigantamax Inteleon is a form of artificial Gigantamax Form, as it was first discovered when a trainer's Inteleon ate a helping of the Isle of Armor's Max Soup.
Flying --> Flying --> Flying/Steel
Rookidee is a brave bird Pokémon that never turns down a challenge, taking every defeat it suffers with great pride and improving on it's skills for the future. It's highly territorial, refusing to let anyone into it's nest, and Rookidee can jump around nimbly to confuse opponents far larger than it. It supposedly has a liking for birdhouses, and is one of the more common bird Pokémon that you can expect to find within a neighbour's garden. Rookidee evolves into Corvisquire, and in this form, it's wings grow larger, allowing it to fly for further distances. It's surprisingly smart for a bird Pokémon due to it's larger brain compared to other birds, and Corvisquire has been sighted making tools with it's talons, as well as using rope to ensnare enemies. Some people have even seen Corvisquire carry weapons to use against other Pokémon. Thanks to the battles it had taken part in the past, Corvisquire can easily figure out an opponent's movements and counter them every time. It's final evolved form is known as Corviknight, whose feathers become armored thanks to the tools it had used in the past fusing with it's body. A stalwart predator that never gives up, Corviknight, who has a rivalry with Skarmory in the wild, is capable of lifting over 100 tons with it's powerful claws which are said to represent the woes of a poem writer in the past. Because of this, people have employed Corviknight as a unique role known as "The Flying Taxi", which replaces the HM known as Fly in regions where it is operational. Because of it's great success in Galar, other people have started to train flying Pokémon to serve as Flying Taxis should Corviknight be unavailable: In Oriva, the Flying Taxis are operated by Zeppboku, but even though Corviknight can be found in the NEONET, it's users can teleport to any Pokémon Centre within it's six zones, so it rarely sees use there.
Upon being exposed to the Gigantamax Factor, Corviknight gains a group of drones that are said to represent the spirit of a person that perished in a Flying Taxi crash. Gigantamax Corviknight can command these drones, known as "Blade Birds", to seek out opponents and slice them to ribbons: Strangley, their corpses always seem to resemble sliced french bread afterwards. Gigantamax Corviknight's signature move is the G-Max Wind Rage, where it gathers all of it's drones together and fires them out in a massive cyclone that is said to make anyone struck by them want to travel to other countries.
Bug --> Bug/Psychic --> Bug/Psychic
Much like Clobbopus, Blipbug is a Pokémon that is only native to the Galar Region, and thus not much is known about it due to a lack of information. Supposedly, it is a smart Bug-type Pokémon despite it's small size, capable of using the feelers on it's head to sense information around it. Blipbug's eyes, which supposedly resemble glasses, can see up to 50 miles away, and it uses them to help sense danger and flee from it, not being very good at battling. Blipbug evolves into Dottler, a small ladybird Pokémon that rarely moves. The dots on it's back are full of psychic energy, and glow bright blue when Dottler is about to fire a massive blast, but it prefers to avoid battling, instead using the dots to generated hexagon-like shields that can block any attack. According to some sources, Dottler's psychic power awoke from both it's vast knowledge and the fact that it had starved itself by hiding within it's shell. It is so obscure, that most trainers that have seen a Dottler before will never believe that it existed if they saw another one. Dottler's final evolved form is known as Orbeetle, and in this form, it becomes an athletic psychic warrior! Possessing a massive brain that is said to rival a supercomputer, Orbeetle focuses on it's surroundings by opening up it's wings and lighting up the dots on it's back. The colour in which the dots glow let Orbeetle know what it has detected, such as happy thoughts being green, and danger being bright red. Amazingly enough, Orbeetle is just as tall as it's initial form, but that's not to saying that you should underestimate it: At full power, Orbeetle is capable of outsmarting even a group of Kikheargutans at a very complex game!
Curiously enough, the Gigantamax Factor turns Orbeetle into a being that's very similar in shape to the U.B.O line, indicating a connection between them. Said to possess the mind of every person in the world combined into one brain, Gigantamax Orbeetle flies across countrysides, abducting it's opponent's within it's G-Max Gravitas, which is said to destroy gravity itself. At it's full power, Gigantamax Orbeetle can control the minds of everyone around it, who then go inside Gigantamax Orbeetle's giant abduction ray, but attempts to see what is inside it's giant shell have all ended in the viewer going absolutley insane, blabbering about something called the "OOParts".
Bug --> Bug --> Bug/Flying
Caterpie is a very weak Pokémon that's very common in forests, and thus it is an easy Pokémon for beginning trainers to raise. It crawls alongside treetops, using it's string to help it get across gaps or to drive away predators. Should that not work, Caterpie will release a foul stench from it's antenna, before fleeing. It has quite a voracious appetite, capable of eating an entire forest's worth of leaves in a day. Once it has eaten enough, Caterpie will evolve into Metapod. Said to be the original cocoon Pokémon, all Metapod can do is Harden. Inside it's shell, it's cells are being rebuilt for it's next evolution, but despite it's looks, it's actually very soft. If Metapod gets knocked over, it's insides will spill out and it will perish: The only reason why it was not considered to be the weakest Pokémon is because when Metapod hardens it's shell, it becomes so tough that Pokémon with sharp teeth will faint trying to bite it. Because Metapod is a Pokémon dedicated to getting to it's next evolution, it reaches it's final evolved form faster than any other Pokémon, evolving into Butterfree. A friendly Pokémon that flies in massive flocks, Butterfree feeds on nectar, and will happily share it with other Bug-type Pokémon. It's own wings, said to never get dirty no matter what, can not only produce a powder that can cause paralysis, but can also generate giant whirlwinds that can blow a tree over. In desperate situations, Butterfree can even use it's antenna to generate psychic waves. However, it's not that powerful initially, only reaching full strength when it's with a reliable partner: A phenomenon known as "The Butterfree Effect" has been described by scientists, where trainers believe that Butterfree is the strongest member of their party because it reached it's final form before their other Pokémon could even get the chance to evolve.
The Gigantamax Factor makes Butterfree's wings more elegant than before, said to resemble a flourishing butterfly garden. Gigantamax Butterfree flies across massive gardens, and it's wings are said to make anyone near them evolve to their next stage instantly, and thus some people connected it to the concept of evolution itself. When faced with danger, Gigantamax Butterfree will use it's G-Max Befuddle, where it launches a wave of miniature butterflies at it's opponents that can affect them in many different ways.
Normal --> Normal (Alolan and Galarian forms are Dark --> Dark and Steel --> Steel, respectively)
That's right! Meowth is a cat Pokémon that loves shiny objects more than anything else. A common sight in streets, Meowth is a nocturnal Pokémon that likes to play with the shiny objects it can find all night long, though it strangely has a liking for coins than anything else. If it is ever faced with danger, Meowth will extend a set of sharp claws that can unleash a deadly Fury Swipes that can cut apart wooden planks. The coin on it's head is said to be a symbol of good luck, and Meowth keeps it polished all day: Some say that Meowth's coin is made of the same material that makes up Mooneko's coin, indicating a connection between them. Meowth's evolved form is known as Persian, and in this form, it becomes a much more regal feline than before. Persian's hair is lustrous and shines like gold, but it can be tough to approach because it possesses a vicious predicament, on top of being very fickle indeed. The six whiskers it has can read the movements of the air to allow Persian to sense it's opponent's movements, and it loves nothing more than to rest atop the laps of other people. The gemstone on it's head is said to be the result of the coin from it's previous form liquifying before solidifying once more, and is highly valued by both royalty and hunters alike. In battle, it prefers to sit down, slashing it's opponents with enough force to cut them to ribbons instantly.
Uniquely, Meowth's DNA is a lot more unstable than other feline Pokémon of it's kind, and thus it can adapt to other regions a lot more easily. Two forms of Meowth have been discovered this way so far: The first of these is Alolan Meowth, which is said to have been delivered to the Alola Region by a royal family. There, it became so spoilt, that it basically acted like the prince that raised it: Selfish and boastful. It likes to show of at all times, and takes great pride in everything, throwing itself into a frenzy should it's pride be ruined. Alolan Meowth evolves into Alolan Persian through high friendship at night, which has a much smoother coat than regular Persian, said to be what the prince that raised it wore during his lifetime. Alolan Persian treats everyone as if it was a king of the world, looking down on others and striking them from behind with it's Dark-type attacks. Supposedly, it's round face is said to resemble that of an ancient king. Another discovered variant is Galarian Meowth, which gained an iron coating from living with a village of vikings that were said to be the first residents of Galar. It's claws are a lot sharper than that of a regular Meowth, and Galarian Meowth can swing them at a way that is comparable to a fully sharpened battle axe, and Galarian Meowth sharpens them every day by clawing on trees and rocks. Unlike the other two Meowth, the coin on Galarian Meowth's head is said to be an emblem of it's own strength. Rather than evolving into Persian, Galarian Meowth evolves into a new Pokémon entirely, known as Perrserker. Said to resemble the vikings it grew up with, true to it's name, Perrserker has the spirit of a berserker in it's heart, and it only cares about destroying others in battle. It's claws are now so sharp, that they can slice apart an oil tanker into ribbons in a single strike, and it's Steely Spirit inspires other Steel-type Pokémon to carry on in battle no matter what. The coin on Perrserker's head is said to glow brightly when it is at sea, serving as a compass to it's destination.
Only the regular Meowth is capable of Gigantamaxing, becoming a long cat that is said to resemble that of a modern mascot, indicating that it was only discovered rather recently. Said to be the bringer of fortune itself, which makes Giengbao have an intense hatred of it, Gigantamax Meowth is said to appear before poor villages and shower them in it's G-Max Gold Rush, which rains down a tsunami of coins that can fill up a bank in planck seconds. Apparently, the symbol on Gigantamax Meowth's coin is said to resemble the form that Eternatus took in the past, and is said to be the secret of finding out how Eternatus even got it's powers in the first place. One can tell if a Meowth can Gigantamax by the fact that it can train itself to speak fluent English, and these Meowth are a lot more active than other Meowths of it's kind.
Fighting --> Fighting --> Fighting
Machop is a hardy Pokémon those body is made out of pure muscle, and is a brave fighter despite it's small size. It can throw out punches that can smash boulders in a single strike, and it always stays focused during a battle, never taking pride in it's strength. Machop can additionally lift up large crates without breaking a sweat, so they're enlisted to help in transportation work and sometimes in construction. It's own muscles keep it pumped as well, so Machop rarely has to take a break. Machop then evolves into Machoke, a powerful fighter that lives in mountains and canyons. Now having enough power to lift a giant boulder ten times it's size, Machoke is so powerful, that it needs to wear a special power saving belt so that it doesn't destroy everything in one punch. The belt keeps in regulated power which Machoke can access at any time, and it's made of a material that can never break at all. Machoke's huge strength makes it essential in construction projects, as seen in regions where Machoke is not native to: Cities there tend to be less well constructed than others. Once Machoke is traded, the resulting energy from the trade will evolve Machoke into Machamp. Now having four arms that can punch up to a thousand times per second, Machamp is said to have the greatest strength of all non-Legendary Fighting-type Pokémon, able to smash apart a giant glacier in a few seconds. It's very popular with black belts, and Machamp's strength can rival a million pro boxers without breaking a sweat. The power saving belt it wore is now a power booster that allows Machamp to get stronger through it's guts alone, but research showed that Machamp did'nt always wear the belt in the past. Some people claim that a certain trainer's Machamp that kept the belt to boost it's power inspired other Machamp to do the same.
The Gigantamax Factor turns Machamp into a being powered by only it's own Chi, getting stronger when it focuses it's own heart. Gigantamax Machamp can now throw a googolplex amount of punches in a single hour, and it punches so fast, that most people see a mere blur behind the fists. By focusing it's own heart, Gigantamax Machamp can summon the G-Max Chi Strike, a flying fist of pure determination that fires up Gigantamax Machamp's fists even further, to the point that they stay fired up even after Machamp's Gigantamax Factor wears off.
Ghost/Poison --> Ghost/Poison --> Ghost/Poison
Once thought to have been the only Ghost-type line to exist, Gastly is a Pokémon that is made out a poisonous gas that can corrode steel at the slightest touch. Despite it's threatening looks, Gastly is a downright trickster, capable of manipulating objects to scare it's opponents into oblivion, and it can also manipulate it's own gas to create deadly illusions that represent a Pokémon's worst nightmare. It's said that if a spirit does not meet any conditions to become a Pokémon, they become a Gastly instead. Gastly evolves into Haunter, and in this form, it gains two spectral hands that are said to send anyone they touch to a curse that they will eventually perish from. Armed with a long tongue that is filled with ghostly energy, Haunter is common across graveyards and dark caves, and it's presence can be noted by an eerie wind that feels like a corpse. Haunter is a much better trickster than Gastly, capable of turning itself invisible and frightening opponents to death with it's horrifying looks, and it can drain the spirits out of anyone they see. Despite being part Poison-type, Haunter lacks any form of Poison at all, it's typing merely being a leftover from when it used to be made of gas. Once Haunter is traded, it will combine with the woes of a Pokémon leaving it's owner behind due to the trade, and evolve into Gengar. Favourable among expert trainers because of it's simple shape and wide variety of attacks, Gengar is a notorious predator who will stop at nothing at sending it's opponents into an eternal nightmare. It can take the form of anything by recalibrating it's own gas, so there is no escape from Gengar once it has caught sights with you. Gengar has even been sighted removing a soul from a body entirely, and thus some people thought it was a reincarnation of the Grim Reaper himself. Gengar will often team up with a Gastly and a Haunter to play deadly tricks on those who visit the haunted house where it lives.
When Gengar is exposed to the Gigantamax Factor, it becomes a living portal to the afterlife. Gigantamax Gengar will convince people to go inside of it by showing them their greatest dreams within it: It can manipulate illusions so well, that some people even lose their sense of reality once they are near Gigantamax Gengar. Should it's victims realize the truth and refuse to enter it, Gigantamax Gengar will instead unleash it's G-Max Terror, where it conjures illusions of an opponent's worst fears before throwing them with enough speed to destroy a sheet of solid diamond in a single shot. Curiously, however, it has only been seen throwing ceramics and silverware this way.
Water --> Water
A common sight on sandy beaches, Krabby is an innocent Pokémon that likes to blow bubbles into the night sky, and seeing them is said to make your desires come true. Do not be fooled by it's small pincers, as Krabby's claws are strong enough to puncture an iron beam in a single push, and it polishes them every day to make sure they don't decay. Krabby claws also used to be a great delicacy, until a law was put into place that banned them entirely. Krabby's evolved form is known as Kingler, and in this form, it's shell becomes strong enough to survive a bomb blast. Taking an entire beach as it's territory, Kingler is a ferocious predator that fights using it's enlarged claw, that is capable of breaking apart a sheet of titanium. It can also throw enemies up to fifty miles away, but outside of combat, Kingler's huge claw just gets in the way of it's own vision. Curiously, despite possessing a set of razor sharp jaws, Kingler rarely opens them, indicating that it used to be a far more deadly predator in the past.
While Kingler does not normally use bubbles in battle, the Gigantamax Factor amplifies it's bubble sac to the point that it becomes a massive foam beast. With a set of defensive foam that resembles a beard, Gigantamax Kingler's claw has become big enough to snap an entire mountain in half, but it rarely uses this claw for physical combat. Instead, Gigantamax Kingler uses it as a form of bazooka, firing out the G-Max Foam Burst from it, a massive stream of foam that is extremely acidic to anything it touches. Supposedly, it resembles prehistoric Kingler, so some people theorized that Gigantamax Kingler is a living fossil taken form once more, it's missing DNA, most likely a larger jaw, being filled out by it's own foam.
Ice/Water
A very rare Pokémon that is critically endangered, Lapras can be found in pods of ten to fifty individuals, being most commonly found across icy oceans. Able to sense the feelings of anyone they see, Lapras will allow anyone it trusts to ride their backs, and they can ride any current no matter how rough it is. It's shell's materials are said to adapt according to their rider, always being the comfiest material known to them. While it normally dislikes fighting and will hide itself in deep waters if it is threatened, should Lapras be threatened, it will retaliate by singing a cursed song said to represent the woes of the lost members of it's pod, which will make anyone hearing it perish in three minutes. Lapras was also one of the first discovered Pokémon to use the move Ice Beam, indicating that the move's origins stemmed from Lapras's family tree.
The Gigantamax Factor amplifies Lapras's singing, creating an aurora around it that is said to resemble that of a harmonious melody. While Gigantamax Lapras is normally a far more peaceful Pokémon than it's regular form, if it is threatened, it will fire the G-Max Resonance, which is a giant ice meteor the size of a planet that can cover an entire city in snow in a single strike, and maybe kill the dinosaurs. Unlike it's regular form, Gigantamax Lapras's shell, which constantly emits a melody that sounds like a beautiful night sky, is too rough and large to allow people to ride on it.
Normal --> Normal
Notable for being the first Sinnoh-native Pokémon to be shown to the public, and being caught by a female trainer before anyone else could, Munchlax is a Pokémon that is always hungry, constantly searching for things to eat. It uses it's great sense of smell to find out the tastiest food, and it loves to eat well cooked food. However, Munchlax possesses a unique kind of stomach that never seems to dissolve anything, thus allowing Munchlax to consume even rotten food without becoming sick. If a Munchlax appears at a great feast, people thought it was a sign that the food within it will soon be claimed by wild Pokémon, though curiously the Munchlax never consumes a single bite of the food this way. Once Munchlax's happiness is maxed out, it will evolve into Snorlax, a Pokémon despised by many for being outright obnoxious! Much like Blokvisibl, Snorlax often appears on roads sleeping and blocking the way, forcing trainers to take the long route around or play the Pokéflute, which will cause the Snorlax to move out of the way in a grumpy rage. However, Snorlax, despite what most people claim, does'nt actually spend all day sleeping: While it does eat a lot of food, and has an appetite so voracious that it could consume an entire mountain's worth of food in a single day, when Snorlax is faced with a battle, it will wake up instantly and smash opponents with it's own massive bulk, though curiously it will look like it is still sleeping. Snorlax's stomach is soft and rubbery from the food it consumes, and small Pokémon have been sighted sleeping on Snorlax's belly this way: In a distant region, a certain scientist researches the sleep patterns of Pokémon by exploiting this part of Snorlax's behavior.
Snorlax's Gigantamax Form, on the other hand, is always constantly sleeping, unable to get up due to it's enlarged bulk. On Gigantamax Snorlax's stomach is a massive biosphere said to be made out of the food it has eaten, and some Pokémon spend their entire lives living on this biosphere: The healthier the food the Snorlax eats, the more lively this biosphere is. While it very rarely fights, Gigantamax Snorlax is capable of using the G-Max Replenish, where a massive geyser of berries opens up underneath it's opponents, supposedly the same berries it ate at normal size.
Poison --> Poison
Born from a chemical reaction between a garbage bag and pure radiation, Trubbish is a Pokémon that is common in areas rich in garbage. It has a love for trash, eating them as if they were a five star meal, and thus Trubbish follows people who litter a lot. It is capable of breathing out a toxic breath that can make people fall asleep for weeks, but contrary to this, Trubbish is not actually that aggressive, and sometimes it even helps out other people by eating the litter they leave behind. In fact, once it befriends a person, Trubbish will stop smelling like a garbage dump. It's evolved form is known as Garbodor, a walking garbage eater! As it walks across dumps and landfills, Garbodor feeds on anything that smells, creating new poisons in the process by combining the methane contained within the garbage it feasts on. It's a Pokémon that works the best when it's natural enemies are around, becoming stronger by fighting against them, though in the NEONET most of the Poison-types come from radiation and pure poison, not garbage, so Garbodor is not as strong as it is in other regions. In battle, Garbodor takes out it's opponents in three steps: It will first clench it's opponents in it's left arm, dissolve them by firing poison from it's right arm, and then finish them off by firing a poisonous gas from it's mouth which can make anyone who breathes them vow that they will make the whole world into garbage!
The Gigantamax factor turns Garbodor into an actual garbage dump, and where it wanders, life itself withers against it's will. However, what appears to be trash on Gigantamax Garbodor's body is actually gas condensed by Gigantamax energy, and if you ever touch it, you will become an evil litterer instantly. Rather than using it's arms for combat, Gigantamax Garbodor uses the G-Max Malodor, which calls forth a massive pillar of garbage which seeps all the way into it's victim's bones, turning them into garbage themselves in the process.
Water --> Water/Rock
Chewtle is a Pokémon that is common in rivers and lakes, and true to it's name, it likes to chew on absolutely everything. Possessing a brash personality that bullies anyone it sees, Chewtle loves nothing more than to bite it's enemies with it's sharp tooth, which is supposedly a pebble that it puts into it's mouth on birth. As an additional defensive measure, Chewtle will growl at it's opponent and show it's tooth to everyone: The sharper a Chewtle's tooth is, the more intimidating it is. Eventually, Chewtle will evolve into Drednaw, an aggressive snapping turtle Pokémon those trademark feature is it's powerful jaws. Said to be stronger than any other Pokémon's, Drednaw can crunch a foe with enough force to snap a sheet of titanium in half in a single strike, and it's very aggressive of it's territory, making sure that no-one ever invades it's homes. It's rock shard shell can survive giant waves without a sweat, and anyone that is hit by this shell will feel their teeth shatter instantly. Surprisingly, despite it's resemblance to Blastoise, Drednaw is completley unrelated to other turtle Pokémon.
Drednaw's Gigantamax Form is a rather recent discovery, to the point that some people claim that the Gigantamax Factor mutated it more than any other Pokémon. Able to create earthquakes by slamming the ground, Gigantamax Drednaw prefers to fight above group: It can fire it's head on a chain-like neck at speeds of over 50 miles per hour, indicating that it is connected to Hookamanis. The head not only possesses enough power to break apart diamond in a single bite, but it can also fire a G-Max Stonesurge out of it's mouth that can demolish mountains into dust. Supposedly, Gigantamax Drednaw, despite it's recent discovery, is said to be one of the more popular Gigantamax Forms there is.
Rock --> Rock/Fire --> Rock/Fire
A common sight in coal mines, Rolycoly is a Pokémon made out of coal, and thus people often use it to help fuel their fires. Rolycoly feeds on coal itself, and the hotter the coal is, the more enjoyable it is to the Rolycoly. It possesses a single wheel that Rolycoly uses to roll around it's cavern homes, though it has trouble climbing up rocky surfaces this way. In battle, Rolycoly heats up this wheel with enough force to cause massive third degree burns in an instant, and it is also useful for burning wood into charcoal. Rolycoly's evolved form is known as Carkoal, and in this form, it gains four coal wheels that fit onto minecart tracks perfectly. Resembling a minecart to a greater degree, Carkoal carries a pile of coal that it burns for it's own Fire-type attacks, though it refuses to share this coal with anyone but it's other Carkoal friends. The larger the pile of coal on Carkoal's back, the more healthy the Carkoal is. When the coal pile burns bright, it's eyes will glow with bright flames that are said to light up the darkness, and thus some people employ them to help them through dark mines. In the past, Carkoal used to evolve into a Pokémon that resembled a steam engine, but today it instead evolves into Coalossal. It's said to be a major disappointment for trainers uninterested in it's raw power or massive strength, as it trades the wheels for a set of limbs that make it far slower, and it's coal has been infused with molten lava, making it unuseable. However, that's not to say Coalossal is a downgrade: Compared to the form it used to be, Coalossal's body is strong enough to survive a bomb blast, and it's muscles can be infused with the lava, making them glow bright orange and making them capable of lifting an oil tanker with ease. Some people get so mad when their Carkoal evolves into Coalossal, that they instantly plan on finding a Choo-Choo to replicate the train that Carkoal used to evolve into, even though Coalossal, when it glows bright with lava, is said to help you find your greatest treasure.
Upon being exposed to the Gigantamax Factor, Coalossal becomes a massive behemoth that only cares about covering everything in lava. Gigantamax Coalossal has no heart, only being powered by it's own coal, and it can summon a G-Max Volcalith that can bury an entire city in molten lava and coal in an instant. It's body strangley resembles a furnance, and Gigantamax Coalossal lights everything near it ablaze, but sometimes you might find it walking across train tracks, which made some people believe that Gigantamax Coalossal is what made the regular Coalossal the way it is today.
Ground --> Ground
Silicobra is a snake Pokémon that's common in deserts and wastelands. It feeds on a diet of mostly sand, storing it within it's neck pouch for use later, which is said to get more rubbery every time Silicobra sheds it's own skin. Although it has large nostrils, Silicobra uses them to fire out it's sand, so it's not very good at smelling things at all. For some reason, Silicobra only prefers to consume sand that comes from deserts. It evolves into Sanaconda, which can hold a lot more sand within itself than before. It possesses a unique body shape that allows it to spring forward like a coiled spring, releasing massive sandstorms as it goes that can blind even the most well-sighted of people for the rest of their lives. Sanaconda gets distressed if it can't find any sand to consume, so trainers are advised to carry a bucket of sand around for it to feed on at all times. In battle, it fires massive balls of sand from it's nose like a shotgun, capable of smashing apart a sheet of solid concrete in a single shot: The older the rock that the sand used to erode from, the tougher the sand bullets that Sanaconda fires.
When Sanaconda is exposed to the Gigantamax Factor, it's whole body mutates to resemble a giant sand twister. From this twister, Gigantamax Sanaconda fires out G-Max Sandblasts from it's massive nostrils, which can envelop an area in an eternal sandstorm until the end of time. The rough edges on the sides of Gigantamax Sanaconda's body are said to be made from sand that has eroded from the first rocks to ever exist, and if you see Gigantamax Sanaconda heading your way, it is a sign that sight as you know it is over.
Poison/Electric --> Poison/Electric
Toxel is, to be honest, the Pokémon version of a human baby. It crawls around and throws tantrums all day, firing out poisonous sparks in the process that can cause numbing for months. Toxel stores it's poison and electricity in separate sacs in it's body, but if it's in a pinch, it will combine them to form deadly attacks on it's enemies, but since it's only a baby, Toxel very rarely fights. It's also capable of drinking even dirty water by converting it into it's own poison. Once Toxel has started to behave itself, it will evolve into Toxtricity! This Pokémon represents the perfect harmony between electricity and poison, and despite not being a Sound-type, Toxtricity loves to play music all day. It does this by strumming the pattern on it's chest, playing a shocking melody that resembles that of an electric guitar, and because of this, it is popular at punk concerts. Toxtricity has two different forms, and which one it takes depends on what nature the Toxel had before it evolved. A Toxel with a Hardy, Brave, Adamant, Naughty, Docile, Impish, Lax, Hasty, Jolly, Naive, Rash, Sassy, or Quirky nature will evolve into an Amped Toxtricity, which is aggressive and foul tempered. Meanwhile, a Toxel with a Lonely, Bold, Relaxed, Timid, Serious, Modest, Mild, Quiet, Bashful, Calm, Gentle, or Careful nature will evolve into a Low Key Toxtricity, which is a lot more calmer and looks down at everyone.
However, both forms have the same Gigantamax Form, which is capable of harnessing electricity through it's head, and poison through it's tail. When Gigantamax Toxtricity combines these two together, it can create a massive plague that can render anyone who feels it bedridden for the rest of their lives. It's main weapon in battle is the G-Max Stun Shock, where Gigantamax Toxtricity conjures a massive electric guitar out of it's own electricity, before swinging it with enough force to leave behind an electrical zone rich in poison. Supposedly, Gigantamax Toxtricity is the result of a fusion between an Amped Toxtricity and a Low Key Toxtricity who combined their forces to bring forth the biggest rock concert of all time!
Bug/Fire --> Bug/Fire
Sizzlipede is another Pokémon that's only been sighted in the Galar Region before, and thus not much is known about this centipede Pokémon, which is completely unrelated to the Millikade line. Sizzlipede can store hot gas within it's own body, lighting it's own mouth ablaze, which in turn warms up it's entire body. It then coils around Pokémon to boil them alive, roasting them to a temperature warm enough for Sizzlipede to then consume right down to the bone. Some people used them in lieu of electric blankets, keeping them warm all day, especially in the bright yellow areas. Sizzlipede's evolved form is known as Centiskorch, which has fire coming out of it's mouth and tail which can cause a burn for all eternity should they strike you. It is a very hostile Pokémon that brutally burns anything in sight, and it's yellow areas, said to be comparable to a radiator, can burn even diamonds to goo in seconds. Centiskorch can additionally use it's tail as a flaming whip to burn down an entire forest in a single strike. Some people claim that Centiskorch's hot temperament is said to be as revenge for those who used it as a blanket in the past against it's own will.
When Centiskorch is exposed to the Gigantamax Factor, it becomes the longest of all Pokémon, capable of extending to the length of a massive metropolis. It is so long, that some people mistook Gigantamax Centiskorch as the rings of a planet. Now a massive radiator, Gigantamax Centiskorch's heat can destabilize air currents and turn them into massive heat waves that can melt a glacier in microseconds. When it faced with battle, Gigantamax Centiskorch has it's own radiator face it's opponent, before unleashing a G-Max Centiferno, which no mortal has ever survived without turning into a liquid puddle.
Psychic --> Psychic --> Psychic/Fairy
Much like Ralts, Hatenna is a Pokémon that can read the emotions of anyone they sense through the antenna on it's head, and it's said to be a relative to the family. A female only species, Hatenna's emotions depend on the people around it, though strong emotions will make it exhausted. Because of this, Hatenna prefers to live on it's own, rarely having contact with anyone but the people that it trusts the most. However, Hatenna will only trust a person that will have done only good deeds in the past. Hatenna evolves into Hattrem, a calm happy go lucky Pokémon that prefers to move using the braids on the sides of it's hair. These braids can extend with enough force to knock a boxer down instantly, and Hattrem gets very stressed if they were ever cut. Although it loves to see cheerful people, Hattrem has a hatred for strong emotions, and if it ever senses any, it will head for that source instantly and smash them in seconds. Some Hattrems have a liking towards healing wounds and taking good care of their own trainers. It's final evolved form is known as Hatterene, a beautiful witch Pokémon that loves to cheer itself up by creating illusions to decieve it's foes. What appears to be a dress is actually a long set of hair that is said to contain great psychic powers, and Hatterene is known to hug it's trainer within this hair. The long ponytail that extends from Hatterene's hat is actually a long arm that it uses to cast spells upon other people and Pokémon, and it uses them on people who are too loud for it to handle. Hatterene prefers to live a solidary life, to the point that it will wipe out all of the Pokémon in the forest it lives in just to get itself some peace and quiet!
Upon using the Gigantamax Factor, Hatterene becomes a witch that is said to obey the stars themselves. The instant Gigantamax Hatterene senses hostility, it will wipe them off the face of the earth with it's G-Max Smite, which is said to send it's victims to heaven instantly. Because the lightning bolts it sends down resemble that of a Legendary Pokémon's, some people claimed it was "The Raging Goddess", and showered it in gifts of psychic powers. Supposedly, Gigantamax Hatterene only appears in areas where there is violence, even if it's a very slight trace of it.
Dark/Fairy --> Dark/Fairy --> Dark/Fairy
Impidimp is an imp Pokémon that lives in groups of up to a hundred individuals, usually serving a much bigger Dark-type Pokémon. They love to play pranks on other people and Pokémon alike, and when they get annoyed by such pranks, Impidimp will absorb their annoyance to fuel it's own Dark-type attacks. Each Impidimp in the pack has it's own role in performing the perfect prank, and in some cases, no-one will realize that they have gotten themselves pranked because it is also an extremely good hider! When an Impidimp leaves it's pack behind, it is a sign that it is about to evolve into Morgrem. Lacking confidence in it's strength, Morgrem is a fighter Pokémon that uses dirty tricks to get over it's opponents, using it's own hair as a weapon. For example, it might start begging for mercy or willingly headbutt a tree over and over again to get it's opponent to drop their guard. Because of it's sly appearance, Morgrem is popular with gloomy people, and some people claimed that when it dances under the moonlight, it could make crops grow. For some reason, it has a vile hatred for Gurfs, with Morgrem often kidnapping them and forcing them to work for it. Eventually, Morgrem will evolve again into Grimmsnarl, a brutal trickster that never plays fair. Said to always know it's opponent's greatest weakness, Grimmsnarl will often kidnap other people and force their relatives to perform stupid decisions just to get them free. It's black hair that shines like obsidian is it's main weapon in combat: By infusing them with it's own muscles, Grimmsnarl can lash out it's hair to trap enemies or to smash them into the ground with enough force to destroy an entire skyscraper in a single strike. The red emblem on it's chest is said to represent all the pranks it has ever done in it's life, and if you gaze directly into Grimmsnarl's emblem, you will become a prankster for the rest of your life.
The Gigantamax Factor amplifies Grimmsnarl's own hair, making up 99.9% of it's own body. Gigantamax Grimmsnarl is capable of manipulating this hair into any shape or size imaginable, and if it ever gets cut off, it can easily regenerate it in microseconds. Gigantamax Grimmsnarl is a lot more brutal than it's previous form, even resorting to illegal cheats if it must, and if it's hair cannot do the job, Gigantamax Grimmsnarl will unleash it's G-Max Snooze, a bomb of dark energy that will make you sleep for all eternity, filling you with nightmares of Grimmsnarl pranking your soul!
Fairy --> Fairy
Milcery is a Pokémon that's said to be a drop of milk given life by a caring chef. It has an innocent personality, and Milcery can often be found near kitchens, playing with the desserts cheerfully like they were it's own toys. It's DNA is mostly incomplete, so Milcery is very unstable, it's own body popping off at times, which people then mix with chocolate to make cool drinks. It loves to spin around with it's trainer, and when Milcery is holding a special sweet this way, from a Strawberry, a Heart, a Berry, a Clover, a Flower, a Star, or a Ribbon, it will mix with the sweet and evolve into Alcremie. A very friendly Pokémon that loves to help out with cooking, Alcremie is capable of firing whipped cream from it's hands that can decorate cakes: The color of an Alcremie, and the type of cream it shoots out, depends on how long it was spun for as a Milcery, and what time it is. It's a very common sight in resturants, and it's said that cakes made from the cream that Alcremie produces is said to be tasty no matter what the allergins of it's consumer is. Supposedly, no-one has ever seen it frown at all.
All forms of Alcremie have the same Gigantamax Form, said to have been born when all 64 possible forms of Alcremie combined into one massive being. Able to make any form of cream imaginable, Gigantamax Alcremie is one of the more friendly Gigantamax forms there is, but it's limited duration means that it can be difficult trying to use it to decorate cakes or create great feasts. It's main weapon in combat is the G-Max Finale, where Gigantamax Alcremie conjures a wave of cream with enough calories to make anyone who consumes them grow to the size of it in seconds: Victims of this cream very rarely do anything but belch after this for the rest of their lives.
Steel --> Steel
Cufant is an elephant Pokémon that was imported from another region due to it's hardy trunk that can lift up a steel beam with ease. No-one, however, has figured out which region Cufant came from, and Oriva doesn't even have traces of it at all: It is surprisingly unrelated to the Elemax line. However, some Pokédexes describe Cufant as an Indian Elephant, which might provide a hint to it's true origins. It has an extremely friendly personality, and it can easily adapt to any environment it is put in, preferring to make friends with other Steel-type Pokémon. It's skin is made of a type of copper that can absorb thunderstorms, and it rusts into a brilliant teal as Cufant gets older. It's evolved form is known as Copperajah, whose iron skin has fully rusted, yet still grants it with amazing defensive power. It's trunk now powerful enough to life a massive ship, Copperajah is a sturdy Pokémon that never tips over, and the bumps on it's head allows it to read the movements of the iron flakes around it. It can slam it's feet into the ground with enough power to collapse a house instantly, making Copperajah an essential partner in both construction and demolition work. However, it sometimes has trouble looking for food: Copperajah's home region had long trees that it's trunk could easily reach, compared to the medium sized trees that the regions that it was imported to have.
Upon Gigantamaxing, Copperajah's trunk recieves a massive amount of power, and it is forced to stand on it's hindlegs to resemble a massive wall. If Gigantamax Copperjah gets knocked over, it will be unable to move at all, as not even it's huge trunk, which is said to push mountains, can push itself back up. By slamming this trunk onto the ground, Gigantamax Copperajah can summon a G-Max Steelsurge, a wave of metallic spikes that can impale even a fully built castle into dust in a single strike.
Steel/Dragon --> Steel/Dragon
Duraludon is a metallic dragon Pokémon that feeds on scraps of metal that can create heat through it's own tail. It's made of a special lightweight material that is said to be as reflective as a mirror, though it is prone to rusting easily. Duraludon fights by getting on all fours and firing a beam of metallic energy that can break apart a cruise ship easily, and it's said to be able to generate this energy through the cobalt blue area on it's stomach. Supposedly, some people have used Duraludon as a mascot for promoting health by getting people to give up unholy deeds such as smoking. It's also the first sighted Pokémon to use the move Steel Beam, and some people claim that the trainer that teaches the move in the Galar Region was raised by a pack of Duraludon when he was young. For a while, Duraludon was thought to have been a fully evolved Pokémon, but one brave person, who wanted to see if a fabled "Fourth Stage" Pokémon existed, created a Metal Alloy that draws in the power of Duraludon's former signature move, Steel Beam, and combined with the energy of the mythical Area Zero to try and get it to evolve further. Unlike previous experiments with similar goals, because of modern technology and the person's knowledge on battling, the experiment was a complete success, evolving Duraludon into Archaludon! The experiment only took place very, very recently, so not much is known about Archaludon right now. However, what is known is that the experiment granted it the power to harness electricity, said to be above any other Pokémon, by charging up the blue patterns on it's chest, and Archaludon is said to have the strongest metallic body of all Pokémon. For some reason, when it charges up it's electricity and gets on all fours to launch it's attacks, Archaludon resembles a bridge, supposedly one from the town where the trainer who first evolved it lived in.
Gigantamax Duraludon was discovered before the experiment that evolved Duraludon into Archaludon, but even then it's said to have been the result of an earlier experiment, due to the fact it resembles a skyscraper. Possessing an earthquake resistant body, Gigantamax Duraludon's body shines like a radiant mirror, and some say that you can even see the future through it's own stomach. Gigantamax Duraludon's signature move is the G-Max Depletion, where it consumes the energy of everything around it by turning them into the future itself.
Steel --> Steel --> Steel
PSEUDO LEGENDARY!
Meltan is a rather unique Pokémon in that it doesn't appear to originate from this world at all! First discovered by Professor Willow, Meltan is a Pokémon that comes from the Mystery Box, which activates every time a Pokémon is sent from the world of Pokémon GO to a world where a trainer and their partner Pokémon met each other again. While it is considered a Legendary Pokémon there due to this, in the NEONET, it is so common that it is treated like any other Pokémon: It can even breed with Jarlaris to produce Meltan eggs! It has a love for metallic materials and feeds on them, and Meltan often gathers in massive groups to feed on sheets of metal together. It's head is actually the round orb that appears to be an eye, and the hexagonal nut around it merely serves as a helmet. If Meltan ever loses this nut, it will get stressed, and it will try to find another round object to replace it. For a while, it was thought to have been impossible to evolve Meltan outside of Pokémon GO, and no-one could figure out why. However, in the NEONET, the problem was finally discovered: Because this world lacked virtual energy, it was unable to evolve Meltan at all, and even in the NEONET, there is simply not enough virtual energy compared to Pokémon GO to fully evolve Meltan. Instead, it evolves into
the sole new Pokémon in this wave, the sprite next to Meltan known as Melcury! Melcury has a much more malleable body than it's previous form, and it's tail allows it to sense nearby metals to see which one is the most satisfying for it. Melcury only goes for the metal that is the smoothest to it, and it can change it's shape to go through any surface imaginable. In battle, Melcury unleashes a wave of liquid metal that can dissolve anything in seconds. Melcury then evolves again into Melmetal, though a Meltan with enough virtual energy, which is only possible in Pokémon GO, can, uniquely, skip the Melcury stage and evolve straight to Melmetal by absorbing it's fellow Meltan. Armed with a set of metallic fists that can smash apart diamond in a single strike, Melmetal is less malleable than it's previous form, but it makes up for being tough enough to survive a nuclear bomb blast unscathed. Some people claim that Melmetal once appeared before early man to teach them how to smelt metal, before disappearing into the depths of the earth, never to be seen again. Supposedly, the darker the nuts on it's arms are, the stronger a Melmetal is.
The Gigantmax Form of Melmetal is said to be the true form of the Mystery Box itself, possessing enough strength to smash apart a massive oil tanker in a single punch. Gigantamax Melmetal was one of the first Gigantamax Forms to exist, and people who saw it claimed that they had seen the origin of the modern era itself. By swinging it's massive fists, Gigantamax Melmetal can unleash it's G-Max Meltdown, which can send anyone struck by them to a world where they reunite with either a Pikachu or an Eevee and go on an adventure together. This world, made of painted liquid metal, is said to be a recreation of the Kanto Region where it's natives have no memories of any Pokémon in existence other than the initial 151 that were introduced there.
Fighting --> Fighting/Dark OR Fighting/Water
LEGENDARY...........?
Kubfu is a Pokémon that is initially unsure about it's own strength, being very shy and often hiding behind other people. It is normally so rare that people considered it as a Legendary Pokémon known as "The Secret Armor", but in the NEONET, Kubfu is so common that it becomes an ordinary Pokémon: It is even capable of breeding there, indicating that the NEONET's areas resembled that of Kubfu's former habitats. Aware that it is weak, Kubfu trains itself every day by facing Pokémon far stronger than it, and it fares the best with a trainer by it's side, building up it's courage every day by watching brilliant views and resting underneath waterfalls. A common training exercise for a trainer's Kubfu is to have it be the only Pokémon in their party, which increases both the Kubfu's courage and it's trainer's own courage, knowing that if either falls, the other will fall soon after. Once Kubfu has become confident in it's own strength and has trained enough, it will evolved into Urshifu, which notably has a different evolution condition in the NEONET. It is now a fully confident fighter that never backs down at a challenge, focusing in one of two different fighting styles depending on the opponents that it has defeated in the past. A Kubfu that has defeated five or more fully evolved Dark-type Pokémon and then levels up will evolve into Single Strike Urshifu, who focuses on taking it's opponent down in a single strike by destroying them with massive blows of darkness, and is said to have inspired generals in the past master their strategies. Meanwhile, a Kubfu that levels up after defeating five or more fully evolved Water-type Pokémon will evolve into Rapid Strike Urshifu, who focuses on taking down it's opponents with several fast strikes infused with water, and is said to be the inspiration of Qinxiuskk's own fighting style. Both forms of Urshifu train themselves by running across the mountains of a distant region that has yet to be identified to this very day.
Unlike other Pokémon with form changes, both of Urshifu's forms have a different Gigantamax Form, which can unlock by feeding on a bowl of Max Soup built with Max Honey, which is very hard to find in the NEONET due it's original producer, Dynamaxed Vespiquen, not being in the region at all. In this form, Gigantamax Urshifu's style is amplified to the point that it inspires everyone around it, people and Pokémon alike, to fight in it's style for all eternity. Single Strike Gigantamax Urshifu can destroy a planet in a single strike with it's G-Max One Blow, while Rapid Strike Gigantamax Urshifu is said to deal out a million G-Max Rapid Flows per planck second. It's said that Gigantamax Urshifu was a deity of strength in the past, which might explain why it is considered a Legendary Pokémon in most regions.
