The two guys are Shigeki Morimoto and Shigeru Ohmori. They both have worked on pretty much every single Pokemon title and always have big roles in them. If they are appearing in an episode together it is definetly Sun & Moon related.
 
If there isn't anything in CoroCoro this month, I'd expect them to do a presentation of some kind...well I'd hope they would. Another Pokemon Direct would be fantastic. It seems unlikely, as CoroCoro is the go-to for Pokemon news in most cases, but keeping us waiting for months for more news? =/

Also, anyone else find it interesting that the movie Volcanion is holding a Rage Candy Bar? That's an odd item to give it...significant, or just something random, I wonder? If it's significant, I wonder if it relates to the new games at all in some fashion?
 
CoroCoro has begun leaking, and it's disappointing news for those who were expecting Sun & Moon info. It appears that the article is only just giving us details on the Volcanion event distribution that's happening in Japan next month. Which unfortunately means our speculators will have to struggle for another month.

There have also been these fake scans of the boxart, starters and new protagonists. I am kinda glad they were fake because I didn't like the look of that female protagonist, and the Water starter reminded me too much of Helioptile (although that Fire-type bear didn't look too bad). The giveaway for being fake was there seemed to be edited images of OR/AS battle scenes (I could tell due to the design of the HP bars).

Hopefully the May issue will be the first official piece of info.

That Grass-type starter was probably the one I liked the least, likely because I was heavily reminded of Skiddo and it wouldn't have been great to have another Grass-type goat so soon.
 
I tried to warn you guys not to expect an new information on CoroCoro right after SM were announced. It happened before when XY and ORAS were first announced before CoroCoro.

I had a feeling in that this month's (April 2016, thanks for correcting me there, either you or ORAS I forgot) issue wasn't going to be anything with SuMo in it.

That just makes the next month issue even more likely to have info though.
 
They are really not fair. Not only that they skipped the highly wanted third Kalos game, and not only that it's going to be 2 years without any new Pokemon main game, but we can't have any news regarding it? ..

Apparently I have heard with most previous generation games (XY being an obvious exception) that we tend to get the new starters and mascot legendaries officially revealed around at least two months after game announcement. That means we'll expect the May issue to bombard us with Sun & Moon news.

Uh...Sun and Moon release this year. They are a Main Game. Why would you think that lack of news means they it won't release for another 2 years?

I think it might have been an oversight on Janejane's part. I had a notable doubt we wouldn't get news until the May issue at the earliest.

They didn't even have the titles, unlike they did with XY and OrAs.

Oh nah it's expected we can get something as early as May. Everything else in your post though falls apart since we are getting a new main game this year.

Actually we got the mascots of BW (and all the third versions before and including B2W2 of course) alongside the game reveal.

Janejane was talking about the gap with OrAs. This November will be 2 years since OrAs, and yet we have no news on SM other than some production stuff and the names.

What we do know is there has always been one year during a generation that a main game was skipped, and last year was 6th Gen's "skipped year" as far as main games were concerned. It is unusual that we are waiting longer for new info compared to recent games, as you mentioned with both 5th Gen games, and also XY.

Would have made sense if he mentioned ORAS at all. Sounded like he believed we wouldn't get any main games for another 2 years.

If what was meant, then that is normal. We normally have a 2 year gap between major titles at some point in a generation's life. They have a 3 to 4 year life expectancy after all. Hell ORAS would be considered lucky since it got a longer life than most remakes. They usually get a year before the next game comes out.

Gen VI is odd in that it didn't have a skipped year between it's main game releases. Gen I's was 1997, prior to yellow, Gen II was 1999, prior to Crystal as well as 2001, Gen III's was 2003, prior to FrLgE and an unplanned one in 2005, Gen IV's was 2007, prior to Pt, Gen V's was 2011, prior to B2W2. I think that they should've released OrAs a bit later to make Gen VI feel like it wasn't suddenly terminated.

Hmm the last games we got were ORAS which were released in Nov 14. Sun and Moon will be released around Nov 2016- 2 years gap. Do your math, I'm sure u can handle it
