Pokémon you dislike for a silly reason?

We don't always dislike certain Pokémon for a 'legitimate' reason - some reasons are more silly, from thinking one Pokémon seems too similar to another, to being annoyed that a specific Pokémon was difficult to catch as a kid.

Do you have any Pokémon you dislike for silly reasons?

Wiglett and Wugtrio. Call them what they are: Paldean Diglett and Dugtrio. Evolves at the same level. Literally copy/pasted the stats from Dugtrio to Wugtrio. (Strangely subtracted stats from Diglett to Wiglett.) Cares about them less with a little name change.

Minds Toedscool and Toedscruel a little less. Highlighted Wiglett and Wugtrio in the Scarlet/Violet previews. Held them up as something new and interesting.

Well the first ones to come to mind have already been mentioned :wynaut-laugh:

Dracozolt. Dracovish, Arctovish due to looking like abominations that are in constant pain and it just makes me wanna put them out of their misery by fainting them. For some reason I don't mind Arctozolt as much and am kinda okay with it.

Palafin is just Finizen with a heart added.... to anyone who never plans on using it in battle. Doesn't help that the Hero form is unappealing to look at.... making me wanna never try it in battle.

while I love just about all fossil pokemon, it irritates me that most just aren't competitive pokemon. while I'd love to run a team with kabutops and the water/rock turtle pokemon, their lack of stats, pushes me away. since I eat and breathe pokemon, its become a subconscious response rather than oh these pokemon are cool but they can't compete, it's now just an immediate meh response. which is a damn shame. Don't even get me started on Archeops

Pokémon like Arcanine because they are too furry!
Pokémon like Grimmsnarl because they are too hairy!
Pokémon like Lickitung because they are too pinky!
Pokémon like Cloyster because they are too spiky!
Pokémon like Muk because they are too sticky!
Pokémon like Raticate because they are too toothy!

Normal form Rotom. Used to be one of my favorite Pokemon because of how mysterious and rare it was back in Diamond and Pearl, to the point where people would actually debate whether it was a legendary or not, but they put it everywhere nowadays! The talking Rotom in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon was so annoying back when I first played it. On a replay it's not so bad, and I don't hate Rotom or anything, some of its forms are still among my favorites, but I dislike how the mysticism around it has been lost.

Absol, I love it's design, but started disliking it after playing a Pokémon Game on Roblox, namely Brick Bronze, where you get a Mega Absol as your first (and only free) Mega... And it's just very disappointing in battle after that, I tried so hard to make it work in my team, but it wouldn't work no matter how I tried.
Another one would be Heatran, the design isn't appealing and it's just disappointingly weak for a legendary

Kingdra is awesome but I just want to skip seadra completely.

It's like an obstacle while I rush to get Kingdra. I would never use Seadra without the ability to get Kingdra.

venomoth. i'm a huge fan of moth pokemon, and i genuinely believe venomoth would be among my favourites were it not for one specific aspect of its design. it's the eyes. the googly eyes. i really wish they would have given it compound eyes akin to volcarona's or frosmoth's or even its preevolution venonat's. but alas...

No strong feelings about it anymore, but I HATED Gulpin back when I was first playing Ruby because I misinterpreted its puckered lips as a nose and mouth.

I think most of my disliked 'mon nowadays are fairly justified, though there are a few I dislike for feeling "too Nickelodeon," if that makes any sense.

Also, Bronzor for the clown face.

Just speculation on my part, but I think Venomoth is a wolf in sheep's clothing. It's face and diet are honestly more akin to lacewings, and there just happens to be a family of lacewings named after their resemblance to moths: the Ithonidae (moth lacewings or giant lacewings).

"Venomoth are nocturnal--they only are active at night. Their favorite prey are insects that gather around streetlights, attracted by the light in the darkness."
