"You did," she replied, trying not to make the cuts sound like they were as bad as they actually were. She and Zeth had both been through enough shock as it was, and things like this really weren't as important right now.
"Well... I don't really have anything to stop the bleeding right now except this," she said, pulling the ribbon that held her ponytail out of her hair, which caused all of it to fall back into its natural place. She took hold of his hand and tied it around it loosely, but tightly enough to prevent further bleeding.
"I hope that doesn't look too girly for you," she said, glancing at the maroon-colored ribbon. "I think that I have some more bandages in my bag. Come on! Batesy is supposed to be watching it for me."
With that she began to walk towards the direction from where she came. This time she walked around the root.
